Never attempt to solder Li-Ion batteries with a solder iron, they will cause an explosion or worse, fire that you cannot control. There is a reason li-Ion battery are spot welded.

I have this camera but my old iPhone 8 takes sharper pictures, I am devastated!! what am I doing wrong? should I buy a different lens? I am heartbroken because otherwise it's a great camera. But sharpness is the most important thing to me.

Sadly my shutter button fell off and everything else is working fine, but i'm missing what i need to take pictures 😅 Do you think i should just remove the button itself off of some top replacement and push it in until it fits, or should i replace the whole top part like you did?

Thanks for showing where the tabs are! I used a utility knife blade to get a small gap, then shoved in a 0.2 mm thick piece of nickel strip at each of the tabs, came right off. I ordered new 35 Amp cells (Molicel P28A). Hope I don't have to flash the BMS board. I did disconnect the wide plus tab first (end of the chain). Going to reconnect it last after the new cells are spot welded in.

Hi, I read some "comic" comments here , so after a good experience with these Dyson batteries I give you my clear position : - It's possible but difficult to build a new battery in these boxes because you have no space between the cells and the box. - You need absolutely good 20A cells (or more) : the best is new cells , or with exactly the same values (capacity and IR) if already used. If not, don't build such a pack. - You must be sure to get secure weldings to support high drain without any hot point and first of all any short. - You must find another (chinese) BMS, because a disconnected Dyson BMS locks down definitely. Simply short ONE charged 20A cell with a good wire and you will see what happens . (No, please don't try ) So I do that only for my own use , because I know what I do and I can permanently control the packs with an added balance switch, but I never build such a pack for anyone and Bye.... Friendly , Michel .

Very useful, though the original batteries are rated for 30A and the ones you replaced them have a much lower current capacity. I would have been a little concerned about that.

The led lights on my battery remain blue when the battery is disconnected. I have removed the case of the battery and I get 21-22v reading on my multi-meter - is the problem the logic board?

These are 18650 right? I noticed you replaced them with Sony VTC ones. Nice batteries, but pretty expensive for me to get where I live. Almost same cost as buying a compatible battery pack and just screw it on.

You can get adapters to use most any power tool batteries.

Got this as a company laptop, wanted to upgrade the memory myself. Unfortunate that it can't be upgraded.

But you eat less of them when they have the shell on AND you eat slower. :)

I've got one, its a beast, upgraded to the FHD display, and 1TB SSD as well as 64GB of Ram. I also had the issues with the fan kicking in and high temps. Turned out it was caused by Microsoft updates and solved by their updates too. The only downside I would say is that its a tad heavy and not portable at all unless you want a sore shoulder. I paid £500.

I bought two of these...worst purchase ever made. These things are USELESS.

Can you not just add the new cells in parallel ?? I am planning to just add the extra cells to the existing cells in parallel. Can't find a video, is it possible ??

You can purchase adaptors that allow you to use battery packs from DeWalt, Makita, or Milwaukee 18V cordless power tools that work on the Dyson V6. I bought one, only to discover that my Dyson was a DC35 slim (so much for "if your vacuum has 2 filters and a 'Max' button it has to be a V6" (in fact it could also be a DC35)) and therefore not compatible, sigh...

Did you replace the windshield with a genuine honda windshield or did you go after market. I have my original 2005 windshield, but there are so many scratches and marks on it that I need it replaced too.

Hi there. I have an opportunity to get a 16gb (as you know NOT upgradable) version of this laptop with a 5850u cpu. I am considering making it my main driver, and would like to occasionally use it to create content in Da Vinchi or Adobe Premiere Pro, at 1080 res only. Your video suggests that this X13 performs adequately in content creation. You mentioned that you had two test units at your avail, one with 16gb, the other with 32gb or RAM. Which version did you use on your benchmarks? If you did use the 32gb version, do you recall if your tests/rendering relied on >16gb or ram? Also, was your Da Vinchi test for 1080 or 4k content? Knowing the above would help me decide to buy the 16gb, 5850u version or not. I can get it for $500 with two years of warranty - great price point, if it can do 1080 video creation at a reasonable speed. Thanks in Advance Cheers - B.
