The mixture of Stardust speedway in here got me thinking..... In some hypothetical future Sonic game, when going to get a Chaos Emerald, you do so by having a Race against Metal (both racing toward the Emerald).... if multiple characters are playable, each Emerald is obtained by a different character, and Metal's moves and attacks during the race expand to include attacks from everyone else he faced (as he's copying their moves) and if given the ability to speak (perhaps Sage convinced Eggman to give him that ability back) he will taunt his opponent's throughout the race, seemingly grill the for information... and never seem upset at any loss. All of that being set to a Stardust Speedway remix. Then, at the game's finale.... once you seemingly beat the final Boss in Eggman's newest mecha... Sage advisees Eggman to deploy his last contingency and make a break for it.... and does so, and that Contingency? Metal Sonic.... in his Neo state.... grabbing 7 fake Chaos Emeralds, made with data collected when spotting the originals, and goes Super to put in a beat down as the true final boss (Sonic also goes Super to give us a Super vs Super fight)..... and playing this music. *Music starts* long time fan/Player: Ehh, would have been better if they gave us a remix of- *Vocals go off* long time fan/player: O-O.... they did it.

It's a song that like many Sonic songs that has always been a banger but suffered from some 'awkward lyric' syndrome; this takes the music itself to a good extreme and also eliminated the expositiony bits that otherwise dragged it down. I love the additional motifs and the fun Omega lines, too
