Clearly from what you have shown the pitch has been altered. Possibly because it was a thatched roof, ie the timber structure is of a lighter design. So when they changed the roof to tile ( clay ) they did not change the timber, which was fine. Now you have what look like concrete tile, which is much heavier,x3, than the thatch of the original roof. When you rebuild the roof ensure timber’s are of the correct size for the weight of the tiles. It will be possible to double batten and insulate the roof in the rebuild of the roof.

Why did you top your beautiful redwood trees!!! Are you daft? That's why they're growing out, not up. Redwoods are heritage trees. In fact, theres a heritage grive for global biodiversity somewhere in England to help save the species. You need to not only reach out to Nick, you need to find that grove and learn about them. Anyway one I had to bring down because it's roots with 2 surface in the tree was really swaying through the winds that were having during the fires nearby as so we had a chop it down and now i have a huge Christmas tree because we didn't trap it all the way down we chopped it about 2/3 of the way down and now we have the huge Christmas tree I've ever seen and I'm gonna keep it that way.

@@DawnPorterEscape Hi, there's a couple in Italy who have a channel, rebuilding a stone house on a mountain-side and they have used various methods to stop water ingress. Might be worth a look. (something voyagers I think) A french drain will only do so much, and I think any land levels above house level presents a problem if close enough. It's like being a basement, which requires tanking.

Can anyone explain to me how to, for example, cook carrots for around five minutes and then add, say, cabbage and broccoli for a minute or two only without having to go through the preheating again on this Cosori pressure cooker unit? Any advice would be gratefully received. Live on my own so was hoping to pretty much do all my veg in the one pot … not having much success so far. I bought a 3 compartment steamer basket for it but not much use if some veg take 5-7 minutes and others take only 1-2. Help please 🤞

Well, my advice if I'm picking it up right what I do is, I start it with the veg that's going to take the longest let's say 12mins, and when I gets down to 5mins I add the veg that will take 5 mins and stop again it I have veg that will only take 2 min. So with all said and done the 12min has alaps and all the veg is done at the same time and all done and tasting beautiful, all hot and nothing over cooked, and because you are adding the veg quickly you shouldn't have a problem with the machine to reheat, hope this is helpful. Dawn

@@DawnPorterEscape thank you so much for replying Dawn. It is useful and I am now getting used to the timings, however, the main problem I was having initially was getting the lid to go back on after adding more veg or checking to see if something was fully cooked or needed a bit more time. The lid just would not go on… I think something to do with the steam still coming from the food that was already inside. I have since found out that you have to wait just a little while and do have to apply a bit of pressure on the lid and make sure the button is fully in position of vent and then it will go back on. It seemed like it was some sort of safety feature kicking in that was preventing the lid from going straight back on. I do appear to have mastered it now though and do carrots for 4 minutes and then add the cabbage and cook for a further 3 minutes and it is cooked to absolute perfection for my liking👍👍👍👍 I’m loving it now. I’m even more impressed having watched a RUclips video showing you can cook chicken from frozen … this will be great for me come winter when I look forward to try doing my soups and broths in it. Thank you again for taking time to reply 👍😃👍

@@DawnPorterEscape hi Dawn. Having re-read your message I’m thinking I will give your method a try 🤔 what I’m wondering is how do you stop it, for example, 7 minutes into a cook time set for 12. Do you literally just vent it so far through the cooking to add different veg and then presumably press start again when you’ve added it? Because I’m pressing cancel after it has vented and then it obviously has to go through the preheating cycle again. I’ll keep experimenting cos I think I must still be missing something 🤔
