Unfortunately It sounds worse recorded on by my phone, but You hear Your speakers not mine they must be really bad.

Since it's a closed enclosure, 2,5 way will have more bass and little higher efficiency for tube amp.

​@@Artur19760512 I just built mines, and not too thrilled with the sound quality. Sound is too harsh, almost unlistenable. I had to drop the tweeter level with R0 increase from 2.2ohm to 5ohm. I am using original one, d3004/660000. We'll see if anything improves after break-in period. I have also built ZD5 long time ago which is still excellent.

​@@DrZdravke I dropped tweeter level a little bit also, brak-in should help also. I'm also using them with SE tube amp which will sound different for transistor one too.

Nie słuchałem Pylonów, myślę że większą różnicę w brzmieniu zrobi wysokotonowy niż zakrzywione obudowy. Ja zastosowałem berylowe, cenowo kosztują ok 2 razy drożej od jedwabnych w Pylonach a kolumny wyszły mnie ok połowy ceny Pylonów, zwrotnic nie porównam bo nawet nie wiem co oni tam wsadzają, kolumn gotowych dawno już nie kupowałem i nie planuję więc nawet jakbym gdzieś usłyszał to też nie ocenię bo dużo zależy od pomieszczenia i reszty sprzętu na którym gra, trzeba by było odsłuchać obok siebie.

No, I don't have Lii Audio speakers for a long time now, I built new ones with Scan speak drivers.

@@hamzatatta952 I think I replied many times about their sound, they're compromise if You really want a full range sound from one driver it's impossible to accomplish and on easier types of music they're great and very impressive but ones You play something really demanding they're will show their shortcomings right away.

@@Artur19760512 I listen to jazz instrumental female vocals , no rock or heavy stuff. Can you remember which one you had ? Even through my Bluetooth they sound hd n you can hear the sedation in the acoustic as if they are in your living room what amp did you use with them ?

@@hamzatatta952 I used the same SE tube amp as now, it's more than enough for me even with less efficient speakers I have now. You can see it in one of my videos and it's listed in the title. Jazz and instrumental should be ok but my current speakers sound more real to life without any over exaggerations, plus unlike full range drivers they'll sound great with any kind of music I play.

Grały bo już dawno ich nie mam teraz gram na 2,5 drożnych scanspikach też diy ale dużo bardziej uniwersalnych do każdego rodzaju muzyki. Szerokopasmowe były fajne do pewnych rodzajów muzyki ale niestety innych nie dlatego z czasem je zmieniłem.

@@Artur19760512 Wiem wiem ja jestem mega zadowolony z moich radzą sobie z prawie każdym gatunkiem muzyki wcześniej miałem kolumny na scan spikach można je obejrzeć na moim kanale ale gdy przeszedłem na lampę to niestety nie bardzo się zgrały więc wymieniłem na obecne lii audio.

@@marekkudyda4079 no wszedłem zobaczyć, te trójdrożne widzę ale one chyba tylko średniotonowy mają scanspeaka a reszta wygląda na SB Acoustics też dobre ale trochę inne brzmienie. W moich 2.5 drożnych zamkniętych największą robotę robią wysokotonowe beryllowe illuminatory bo schodzą do 1700Hz czyli całkiem nisko. Grają bardzo precyzyjnie i szczegółowo a zarazem neutralnie i nie nachalnie żaden inny materiał w kopułkach tak nie zagra. Ja też byłem zadowolony z Lii Audio przez pewien czas do takich kawałków jak ten np. są super ale po czasie i przy różnych rodzajach muzyki zacząłem zauważać mankamenty i jak już zauważysz raz to później zwracasz na to uwagę cały czas. Zobaczymy czy zostawisz je na dłużej czy zmienisz na coś innego po czasie.😉

I adjusted the value of tweeter's resistor as it was little too loud for me.

Obudowy robił i lakierował znajomy stolarz resztę ja. Fakt trochę cicho się nagrało. Głos był ustawiony tak jak normalnie słucham a na nagraniu wyszło ciszej ale prawdę mówiąc zauważyłem że czym starszy jestem tym ciszej słucham muzyki, za głośno zaczyna mnie szybko męczyć a tak zamykam oczy i się relaksuję.😁

@@lausiv12345 dzięki, obudowy z wyglądu dosyć proste, zamknięte, mają sporo wzmocnień w środku, w jedynym słusznym kolorze żony białym 😉 ale najważniejsze mają ładnie grać i zawsze chciałem użyć głośników Scanspeak i się wkońcu udało w dodatku z berylową kopułką wysokotonową z serii Illuminator. Połączenie detaliczności ale nie męczących czy natarczywych wysokich tonów z przyjemną trochę ocieploną średnicą. Przyjemnie się słucha i raczej pozostanę z nimi na dłuższy czas.

@@Artur19760512 też lubię beryla, ale zaskoczyłeś mnie, że to nie jest BR tylko zamknięta. Ja aktualnie swoje stroję ciągle i chyba już więcej nie wymyślę, resztę muszę adaptacją pomieszczenia ogarnąć. U Ciebie też słyszę problemy, ale z pogłosem. U mnie bardziej ze wzbudzającym się basem, wygląda na fatalne mody własne pomieszczenia - muszę nad tym jeszcze popracować, bo z kolumn już więcej nie wycisnę chyba.

@@lausiv12345 zdecydowałem się na zamknięte bo stoją dosyć blisko ściany i nie chce mi się ich przestawiać za każdym razem do słuchania. Z pogłosem za bardzo już nic nie zrobię, zrobiłem lamele, izolacja w suficie, duży dywan, gąbki wysuszające w obrazach na bocznej i tylnej ścianie, ale niestety salon otwarty na jadalnię, kuchnię i przedpokój, musiałbym przeznaczyć jedno pomiesczenie do odsłuchów.

Lii Audio's 8" will have less bass and overall won't sound as refined as their 10" which is kind of a sweet spot in their line up if You want to use just a single driver.

Heavy damping is not recommended on these, I just glued one piece of sheep wool on the wall behind drivers. Paint was sprayed by a professional cabinet painter.

They go lower than that, I don't like too much bass.

@@brunobracke4612 It's a lot to ask one driver, to cover 20hz - 20,000hz! It can be done, even with the smallest of drivers ruclips.net/video/-U3XW6TV9zI/видео.html I do love my bass, and I love subs in my car, but not in my HIFI system. I say that as a hypocrite, as I do have two Peerless 6.5" subs in a transmission line .... but that's because I have a number of t-=lines lying about, and it would be a shame not to use them from time to time.

@@marekkudyda4079 grały dobrze ale jak każde szerokopasmowe jednak mają swoje ograniczenia, teraz mam bardziej uniwersalne 2,5 drożne na scanspeakach jak zresztą można zobaczyć na moich pierwszych odsluchach po zabudowaniu. 😉 Skojarzyłem Cię z grupy Chińskiego audio gdzie też wpadam. 😉

@@Artur19760512 Wszystko zależy od muzy jakiej się słucha myślę że do muzyki której słucham były by idealne a jakie zastosował pan wytłumienie jaki koszt takich skrzyneczek.

@@marekkudyda4079 koszt skrzynek to teraz po podwyżkach wszystkiego ciężko mi powiedzieć ale są sporych rozmiarów więc materiału trochę pójdzie. Wytłumienie tylko na tylnej ściance bezpośrednio za przetwornikami.

I finished them myself, they weren't professionally painted unlike my new Scanspeak 2,5 way painted by a professional cabinet making shop in semi gloss. M6 are ok for their price but not as good as Crystal 10s or Scan-Speak.

Crystal 10s sounded really good but unfortunately only on some genres of music and on some like rock and more complex kind it showed it's weakness. These are more expansive but more universal for every type of music. Crystal 10s had this massive soundstage is felt like music is enveloping You from all directions which was vey special and on these soundstage seems like it's even further then the wall, but people's clapping for example which is very hard to reproduce realistically sounds way more natural on Scanspeaks and they also sound warmer, so might be more relaxing for listening for extended periods. I also substituted silk tweeters with beryllium illumintaros which are great and never harsh like some other metal tweeters can be. I modified Zaph's crossover with changing resistor on the tweeter from 2,2 to 3 as it was little to loud in my opinion. As with white color it's the only one my wife agrees on as it's our living room.😉

@@cruise2023 Zaph's Audio also have the same 2,5 way BR option if You want something with more bass and You can buy nice premade crossovers or whole kit with drivers on Madisound.😉

@@Artur19760512 Had a look at Zaphs Audio but found the site yrs old with no mention of the 2.5. I did find on Madisound the Zaphs Audio ZRT 2.5 kit so I assume this is it. Kit with options of upgraded crossover and acessories for either ported or sealed build. No mention on the BE tweeter!! Did you alter/change this yourself ? if I remember correctly with the BE tweeter, the crossover is the same as the Cresendo. Why the sealed over the ported?

@@cruise2023 yes I upgraded tweeter to beryllium and talked to Madisound and they told me as specs are very close no crossover modifications are necessary. I went with sealed as my speakers are standing pretty close to wall and my room is not very big so I didn't want too much bass.

Crystal 10's are really fine drivers but not for every kind of music, that's why now I'm playing with Scanspeak 2,5 way with beryllium tweeters. They're breaking in and improving , I was told that Revelator midwoofers need quite some time to sound their best so I'll post more videos after playing them little more. I also would like to add a quite interesting scanspeak dome midrange driver and make them 3,5 way some day. Right away I can tell that Scanspeaks are warmer sounding than Lii Audio.

@@cruise2023 I just uploaded new video today, after around 100 hours of break-in.😉

They both sound great, Scanspeaks played for only few hours so they still need some break-in and it's too soon for final judgment but Crystal 10s are gone and these are staying that says something. They're are more universal for pretty much any kind of music unlike fullrange drivers. The only thing I might change in the future is to build a 3 or 3,5 way speakers with them. I'm really curious how they would sound with Scanspeak's dome midrange drivers.
