Selzine Wall
There are many walls at the island of Cres. Probably the most impressive one is Selzine. Vertical to some 55m, and not very far from it you can reach the deepest part of the Krk-Cres channel at 110m. We went down to take a look 😃

The “Lady Luck”, a heavy B24 Liberator bomber departured from Morocco on the 19th of November 1944. He took a flak hit in the sky above Vienna. Our favorite location, the lake Zaovine at the Tara mountain. The location at the Lazica dam is well know because of its wall ending around 90m of depth. The visibility is depending on the weather and water level from 2 to 10 and sometimes even 15m. Water temperature below the thermocline is 6-10C.

Is DPAA aware of this wreck? It would seem that human remains might be recoverable if men went down with Lady Luck and remained in the plane.

This is stunning. My grandfather, HT Mills, was the pilot and only survivor of the Lady Luck. The story of his survival is a family legend. Two other members of his crew escaped the crash with him. HT's back was badly injured so he could only float, but the other two made an attempt to swim to shore. They were never seen again. HT was found the next day in the middle of the sea by some Yugoslavian fisherman. He was taken in by a group of partisans, who eventually carried him up the Yugoslavian peninsula, into Italy and then back down through occupied Italy to the Allied lines. He was missing and presumed dead for more than a month, before showing up in Italy. An absolutely stunning act of bravery that, without, I wouldn't exist. HT spent years after the war trying to get the names of the partisans who helped him, but never could. I have pictures of HT in front of the Lady Luck and of his crew. Amazing.

I dont know much about CCR's, so why is it that I see air bubbles coming out of the black center tanks ?? Arent they supposed to NOT LEAK any air at all, because its all supposed to be recirculated and reused after scrubbing? PLEASE fill me in and let me know if someone could.
The two machines in the film are pSCR. Passive Semi Closed rebreathers. They leak 1/8 of every breathe. The cameraman is using a CCR. He is just to be seen entering the cave at the begining.
B-24s were notorious for being hard to escape from, as opposed to the B-17. That might explain why almost all of her crew was lost. May them rest in peace, stunning footage.

Izvrstan film. Dve me stvari zanimaju. Koliko li samo košta glavno svetlo kojim je osvetljena pećina na snimku i koliko je trajala dekompresija i na kojim gasovima.
Svetla ima raznih i po raznim cenama. Ovde su koriscena 2 po 7000lum sto po danasnjim standardima za video svetlo nije mnogo. I drugi ronioc u snimku ima video svetlo. Dekompresija zavisi od dubine i vremena. Ovo sto na sniku vidite je sve plitko do 50m dubine. Veliki deo dekompresije se uradi samo ronjenjem iz dubljeg dela ka izlazu. Sa ribriderima najvazniji je diluent gas i u njemu je uglavnom mesavina sa Helijumom.
