My Great Great Grandma was Cherokee . She married a Black Foot. I have always been proud of my Native heritage. I have been doing some research lately. My Ancestry DNA sent me an update. My 50% Irish heritage just dropped 1% to allow for my 1% Basque heritage. I chuckle at this because years ago, my dark-haired mom watched the Galloping Gourmet and began cooking a dish called Basque Chicken. Don't remember all the ingredients, but it had loads of red and green peppers in it. It became a somewhat staple for a year. Was this prophetic? 😂 Nonetheless, it's a fascinating ethnicity. Thanks.
