Evaporative "coolers" are useless. In dry air you may be able to measure a tiny effect. They are just expensive fans that add a tiny bit of humidity. I had a large floor model. Did absolutely nothing. Returned it. Don't believe the marketing hype. They are crap.

In my 1 bedroom apartment, I ordered 100 of these and it cooled it to 50 degrees F. These worked better than my Carrier Central AC unit (90000 BTU) on 220V. I save $$$ using these cooling units. They even make it snow in my apartment in S. Miami.

Ontel company is a scam, artic fraud is garbage, there should be a class action law suit againt this fraud company Ontel and it's scam product! They advertise to give money back guarantee in 60 days! I did return immediately after one day of having this scam product returned it and its more than 2 months and I still don't have my refund! They keep emailing me that it was posted and I get another email after a week not receiving it and after contacting them with many excuses! 😠

Chillwell is a scam company....i purchased 3 chillwells. Set them up on kitchen counter side by side and they did not do anything that my $20 fan doesnt do and my kitchen is a 10 by 10 room... False advertising... Machine does Not work as it says it works. Does Not driver within delivery timeframe.... They pick and choose what policy they are going to follow when it comes to return/refund...DO NOT GET SCAMED BY THIS COMPANY OR ANY COMPANY LIKE ARCTIC AIR... POLAR AIR... AND SO ON!!! It's an evaporative cooler! Big ones have been used out West for years, but now companies make little plastic ones. They are usually cheap, have no condenser and work by blowing air over a wet screen. And they only work in dry desert climates. YOUR CAN MAKE YOUR OWN CHEAP EVAPORATIVE COOLER!"; Just put an electric or battery operated fan blowing wind at a damp towel that's hanging 2 or 3 inches in front of the fan (but not laying on the fan due to fire hazard). When the towel starts to dry, dampen it again. The water evaporating off the damp towel makes the air colder! These evaporative coolers don't work on the East Coast where there is more humidity. If your on the East Coast, look for a small portable A/C that has a condenser. If your lucky you may find a portable 12 volt one that can run off of batteries. They are expensive though.

Better off making a cooler using an ice maker!🤭

Garbage!! Does not cool, at all. "Arctic," my aunt. . . . And yes, I'm from AZ, so a place with a dry heat. We used to all have evap coolers. The point is, do you feel cooler with this close to you, in your personal space? NO, NOT AT ALL. There some known paid commenters here, saying otherwise.

I bought one to use for my truck until I can get the AC fixed. The truck creates too much heat in the summer for that thing to work. Easily overpowered by the heat inside my cab. Worth a shot tho.

I think most people don’t read the instructions or understand what an evaporative cooler like this Arctic Air Ultra is for. Or rather, what it isn’t used for. It can’t replace air conditioning and it can’t cool down entire rooms. It’s a personal space cooling fan. I enjoyed this device while I owned it but I threw it away after the filter got mildew and transferred onto the fan unit due to freezing the filter every night. My tips are don’t freeze the filter but if you do, use a ziploc bag to do it and clean the filter thoroughly after each use. If you understand this product and have realistic expectations, you’ll get good use out of this product.

Junk,,,just get a humidifier that takes cold water, and has a filter. I use it in winter, it works great in the non humid months in summer mine holds about 3 gal.

So you do realize this unit is not used to cool down a room? Second you that clock is measuring the temp of the while room you would need a temp probe or a temp gun to tell if it works worse review ever this is coming from an EPA license HVAC/T tech
