Regarding the wled strips with the data channel - if you solder two lengths together, will they behave as one length? I'm wondering if the Knight Rider effect will work as expected

I see a lot of people using solder less clips. Do they not work? Why would someone go to the trouble of soldering when you can just snap a connector on?

The ones that dont have a controller and only work 1 color such as white only need a positive and negative. Color changing ones like I use work with a signalwire that gets its signal from the LED controller.

I've been hunting for videos about diy led connectors and it's like very difficult, yours is pretty much the only one I've found so far, haven't watched all the way yet hoping it's what I'm looking for and similar to what I'm doing. I've got wizz led light strips and need to put breaks in between about 3 of them going around a room and under shelfs tables, wtv, I just don't have the money right now to buy the connectors on Amazon that are more expensive than the more typical 4 pin led lights, I've got 6 pins here, hoping my idea of what I'm going to do works and you can maybe help me as I go

Hi and thanks for watching! I hope you find the info on my channel, I now have several videos showing how to solder LEDstrips together, since yours is 6 pin the procedure is the same, just a bit more work and making sure you know which ones are data, positive, ground! LMK if you need some help!

why u call it grease? I assume ur usimg FLUX??? if so it is not to just equalize the temp. it also cleans and etches the surface so the solder fills hot and flat . The most important advice to give is how to avoid a cold solder joint>>>> thats when the solder looks rough and n0t shine. they will craxk and fail.
