~60 pounds (4.5 gallons) with 30 minute feed time. Preliminary test of The Nano "Max?
Running roughly 60 pounds of cons in 30 minutes through a larger version of the Nano. Half of the cons were classified to 1/8th material. There was some cross cotamination and my fine gold wasn't mixed into these cons, but it seems like it is still effective when scaled up. There is still a lot of work to be done but the results look promising so far.

      @@shineyrocks390 I had to do some research on that and yeah surprisingly it is kind of similar. I couldn’t find any good videos of it working or a cross section of the design but it seems like this device would work as a sediment bulb if it was made of the right material for gas. That is interesting though, thank you for making that comparison, I might have to try that out one day just to see what happens.

  • @shineyrocks390

    That would work sense because slurry pits/tanks the old timers used to keep that material constantly moving so it didn't "turn to concrete". I see the jet dry now.

      @@shineyrocks390 Yeah this stuff was crazy to work with, I had to use that shaker bottle to even be able to feed the material. I only have one question. Do you use jetdry or some type of soap in your water to catch the ultra fine gold? I think this would be a great thing to have for catching beach gold. I live on the Pacific Northwest Coast of Oregon. There is literally tons of beach gold mixed in black and blonde sands. If you can scale this up, I truly think you are on to something great. What I like most is it wont rust or be destroyed by salt water. It doesn't weigh a ton like some of the commercial models already out on the market. So many people go for big gold and most likely they won't find it. This would allow me to get the small gold that I go for and not break my back or my bank to get it. Small gold weighs heavy when you have enough of it. Also many places won't allow you to run any gold catching tools that have an engine unless you have special permits. This is a great idea and something I want to add to my arsenal! 👍

    • @toothpickmining
      @toothpickmining Месяц назад

      I do use jet dry with just about every run. This would definitely work for beach sands, it might be slow for all day use but I am working on a slightly scaled up version that I ran about 60 pounds of cons in 30 minutes. The last video I uploaded shows that one. I am hoping this larger version will be good for beach sands or high volumes of crushed ore. The material has to be classified to -1/8th inch material, other than that it seems like it would be good for the beach. It should be as fast or slightly slower than existing products on the market right now but with this you should be able to fill up a 2 or 5 gallon bucket hopper full of dirt and walk away while it processes the material by itself so you dont have to constantly hand feed it. There is a ton of fine gold everywhere and with the right equipment it should end up being easier to get than the bigger stuff, thats just a guess a this point. And yeah you should be able to use it in most places. I live in California and we have the same laws but I think you can use it as long as it’s like 50 feet from a water source and you recirculate the water. Send me an email to toothpickmining@gmail.com, I can send you a prototype of the larger version to play around with. I’ll just charge the $18 shipping fee. It will be several weeks before I finalize that design but so far it seems like it will be useful in certain situations.

      Hey Teo, yes sir, I have ran 11.3 kilos and it did a good job. I thought I made a video to share with you but I guess not. It will take an hour or less and you will probably get around 95% recovery in the first run. After the first 20 minutes or so the feed rate will slow down but as long as there is material coming out of the discharge tube then it is still processing. Another RUclipsr ran his 5 gallon bucket of cons and was impressed so yeah it will run as long as there is dirt coming out of the discharge tube.

    I love my new Dual Nano. Watching the Pay-Dirt dance in the turbulent flow they create is stunning. What flow rate range works for this fabulous device? I have a feeling that my Harbor Freight 2 inch pump (160GPM/9500GPH) might be a bit of over kill. I also have the Harbor Freight Submersible Utility pump (1600GPH) and this might bit too much flow for these Siphons. I did pick up HF's 110GPH Fountain pump and it seems to be a bit much still, I have the valve mostly closed to restrict the water level in the hopper. All of these pumps require large bits of infrastructure to operate. I would like to find a solution that could operate off of a small solar panel for field deployment. Bottom line, what flow rate do these Siphons work best at? Thanks 🦊Riki2Tails

      At this point I have heard many comments like that and it never gets old. I am grateful that I still get them so thank you for that from the bottom of my heart. I recommend a USB water pump, the one I used to make it has 180 l/h flow rate. It has a good flow rate and has a more plug and play ease of use type operation. You wont see the material dancing around as much but oddly enough it seems to have a higher recovery rate :).

    • @toothpickmining

      I haven’t tested with that size yet but I do have a customer in Australia that has been working with crushed quartz and is getting similar results. I send some extra parts with the systems that should help with that size mesh of material but I haven’t talked about it much yet until I can properly test it. However it should work the same no matter the size as long as its all classified within a certain range. Anything smaller than 100 mesh probably needs like 80 l/h or less of water flow rate. I designed the system to run with a usb water pump that is 180 l/h and there is usb motor controllers available that should reduce the flow rate for powder size material.
