I had two fragrances; Chanel EDP and Prada Carbon. Then I met my girlfriend who had a collection of Creed. Aventus, Viking, Original Vetiver, almost all of them. Got hooked on the good stuff and now have forty bottles, almost all of which are niche.

Yes. I totally agree that this new release is a complete disappointment. I used to have the "old original" version and this new "diluted water" is nothing like it. Actually I noticed that Lacoste did the same crap with their "Original" cologne, which was my favourite perfume ever. Shame on them! Not worth buying either of them. They are not worth a dollar!

i just came from your video about the stages of fragrance addicts. very relatable as a fellow frag head. My collection went from 4-5 to like 50ish or 60 this year mostly because of middle eastern scents. I don't regret going down the deep end because i was that girl who only had burberry her and narcisso rodriguez poudree and super flowery scents and couldn't figure out why i didn't like perfumery until i experimented with cheaper scents. Variety is nice, a scent for each mood or situation. Thank you for sharing

How long does this perfume lasts?

Funny! I’m happily camping out at stage 5… but I’ll dabble in stage 6 from time to time. I’m not bored and I love what I own (designer, artisan and niche). I cherish them. I don’t need to smell everything new but i absolutely still enjoy selectively sampling. Blind buying is a big no-no because I’m so particular in what I like. I was a solid stage 4 15 years ago, got out, then fell back in 3 years ago and I’m validated in knowing what I loved back then holds up and I adore those old bottles too… using them right up. Money well spent.

Great review of Exclusif Tabac! I got it recently as a blind buy and it feels of a quality above its price. And like you I love the mid and dry down. I like the opening too but agree the fragrance gets better as it goes Thanks 😊

I'm obsessed with the Elizabeth Taylor fragrances! My favorites are the original White Diamonds, Diamonds and Emeralds, Diamonds and Sapphires, and Gardenia. They're very affordable but difficult to find in stores. I had to get most of them online.

Cabochard is my winter scent 😊 I always described it as smelling like a tack room- soaped leather, hay, denim, tobacco. A bunch of cowboys getting ready for a rodeo!

Berlinetta is fabulous. OMG it is so so fragrant with a perfect mix of violet and leather. It smells like someone sprayed their leather motorcycle jacket with the most sweet, girly violet perfume they could buy. I DO smell something like parchment paper and love it ALL. Alhambra wins this round!

i own few Jeanne Arthes fragrances ( savon, tropical crush, macaron amande, vanille sa pomme A'amour, and Amore mio forbidden fruit) but they are all feminine leaning type, thanks for sharing i was actually curious about their men fragrances as well! have you tried one of their men fragrances called "sexy boy essence" by any chance? if not just forget it, i hate blind buying myself too lol thanks for the amazing video again!

This is a very challenging scent for me. The patchouli is almost overbearing for 60% of the wear in a both minty and dirty way…the very deep dry down is extremely pleasant and by then it’s a skin scent. It has 100% gotten better after having for 2 months. When I first sprayed, I got a very sharp acetone like aroma. Now 2 months later, it’s extremely fruity sweet (probably the sweetest fragrance I own). The performance is ridiculous. I can smell it for 20hrs with 3 sprays on each arm (on skin)! It’s very pushy and boarders on nauseating. It is improving with time. I think it’s just not what I anticipated and has that patchouli I don’t care for. I’ll say, I do crave it on occasion but I can not tolerate it 2 days in a row. It’s an odd one for me. Bc of its extremely challenging, fickle nature, I will not be repurchasing it. Strangely, this drives my boyfriend crazy.

Very humorous video, had me laughing and enjoying 😂 For I started my perfume journey in stage 3, going to the department store, testing and finding something I liked among the designer brands offered. My first love was Givenchy Organza Indecence, discontinued in 2004. Now, would say 4-5, more niche, very little designer in my large collection. I research fragrances on Fragrantica before buying and get samples to avoid blind buys (former bad habit that led to decluttering). I do like unique and different but must be wearable, no weird experimental stuff. Gotta keep it classy 😉

I have a few Jeanne Arthes fragrances that I enjoy quite a bit, Joe Sorrento Pour Homme, Rocky Man Black and Rocky Man Irridium. Their performance is not the greatest but the do smell pretty nice.

I'm sure you don't do this on purpose, but you are talking too much about perfumes/scents you wear and like..I'm interested in just naming the fragrance: top,middle and bottom..By now most women like myself know the perfume notes they wear and enjoy on their skin chemistry. Also, please add are they EDP or a toilette... Thanks!

If you like Cabochard’s profile you’ll probably like Aramis too. 😍 I love Aramis in cold weather. It’s more masculine leaning but very similar, and bolder. Something about wearing it with a chunky sweater or flannel in winter. Bonus, I love that it’s unexpected for a woman to wear ❤
