Dance of the en-bloc Garands
I love Tchaikovsky's music and I like my Garand (1943 SA), so I tried to put them together just for fun.
Yes, there really are 8 rounds per clip that appear here (I just know someone is going to slow the video down and count them). The editing was tedious and difficult with my meagre editing tools, so I apologize for the video being choppy.
I did not shoot my Garand inside to produce this video, so do not shoot your Garand inside either.
I had to play the score more slowly than normal on my keyboard, otherwise the video would've looked crazy at the proper music tempo. I also had to modify (shorten) the score, otherwise this video would've been twice as long and would've needed more .30-06 br...

Those guide rods will eventually unscrew themselves during a shooting session. They are two pieces. Its happened twice to me. You'll wanna have some blue locktite on hand for when it does happen. One time it worked itself loose but it was still firing and one time it completely unscrewed and wouldnt shoot. I still love the gun, its just something you have to keep an eye on.
@@keness4768 I've heard of that issue. I wonder why Sig didn't locktite the rod at the factory?
These are great little pistols. There are only a couple or three P938’s in production, right now, but at one time, there were multiple variations with different finishes, grips, sight configurations and so on. Then, they launched the P365 and now we’re down to three kinds, tops. (Edit): Ha! I just went to the Sig website and they’ve reintroduced a couple variations that were discontinued for a bit. Check it out.
It is tempting to buy a second one!
I use reverse needle nose pliers to remove the hood .......
Good to know. Which brand? I tried two inexpensive snap-ring (circlip) pliers, but they deformed and broke. I was about to try Channellock snap-ring pliers as they seemed strong enough, but for the same price I bought the spreader bar which I thought I could also use as a more general purpose tool.
@@PalKrammer , I'll have to check for you .. I'm a retired plumber and have so many tools, lol . I do buy good tools though I also use n like Channellocks too .. MB ..

What.s the price on this one
@@jesuszuniga2375 These days I have seen the M&P Pre-model 10's sell for about $650 in good condition to over $1200 in excellent condition. Mine has very little wear and might sell for about $800 today.
have a micro 9. simiar to p938. put guide rod though spring as you push guide rod in place you hand over spring to hold in place as slide guide rod on barrel.
Good looking little gun.
Your going to bend the tip of your fireing pin with your cute, creative, brilliant, disassembly block
@@ericschulze5641 The tip of the firing pin and the entire lower part of the firing pin touches nothing: it is suspended in a 1/4" hole surrounding the pin, while the upper part of the pin with the spring resides above that hole in a larger 1/2" hole. That was the reason for making this fixture. I suppose I did a poor job describing it.
@PalKrammer ahh so the lower half has a smaller hole
I like to watch your videos more.❤
Thank you. My other video at the link below provides a complete description of this rifle and shows its components and assembly procedure. ruclips.net/video/67fxVpkYb7Y/видео.htmlfeature=shared
Gorgeous revolver. I prefer the fixed sight model as I usually use one loading and have little to no need to alter sights on a regular basis. When I was a target shooter (long ago when eyes, hands and nerves worked better) I shot one handed NRA 2700 matches. Later I moved to PPC but all that time I carred a defense pistol. These days, self defense (training) is about all I do. Fixed sight can be altered - sighted in - but such requires the use of a fine file and cannot be casually changed. As I said, one loading. Having shot various handguns, S&W are the finest and best shooting revolvers of any. The design itself is superior and the machining is quite well done. At this point, I must qualify that I do not employ or shoot the 'modern' revolvers made since about 1982 ; that is about when the company changed hands (again) and quality really dropped. Nice report. Please note the revolver has six chambers. In short, each chamber will fire to a (hopefully slightly) different point of impact. Each chamber will fire to a differing velocity. This really only matters in precision shooting, usually of the target variety.
The standard barrel on the Model 15 was 4”, not 5”.
@@calvinhandley2373 Thank you for the correction.
Not “one of the most popular”. With over 6 million made, it is the most popular revolver of all time.

Does the bolt need to be greased at all or will light oil be fine?
@@donaldotrump9863 The bolt should be dry while shooting; afterwards a very light coating of oil can be used before storing the rifle away.
What’s the difference between the Border Patrol and the Highway Patrol? Frame?
@@davidshowmaker4408 The Border Patrol utilizes Colt's J-frame (not to be confused with S&W's small J-frame) and the Highway Patrolman is a S&W N-frame - I believe it is a bit larger than that of the Border Patrol. Also, the Border Patrols all have 4" barrels, while the Highway Patrolman came with at least 4" and 6" barrels.

в прикладе специальное место для разборки ударника!!!!! о ужас((((
@@Никита-л7ы1э В прикладе К98 есть, но в прикладе М48, нет специального места. The K98 and similar rifles have a disassembly hole in the stock, but the M48 does not, as I mention in the video. Even so, for someone who has not done the disassembly before and whose bolt may be sluggish with cosmoline, disassembly using the stock or buttstock hole can be risky.
NOTE: Although I've removed the extractor so that I can check headspace later, the extractor collar also needs to be removed and is done later. DO NOT insert the bolt into the receiver with the extractor collar still attached, otherwise it will become stuck.
In the video I forgot to mention that these Border Patrol models have a 4" barrel. The action is smooth as silk, pulling the hammer back is so smooth and precise; it has the best feel of any of my many revolvers.
pulling the hammer back is smooth and precise?? ive never heard of the hammer being pulled as something NOT precise..... if it wasnt it would not function. what are you even trying to say? your attempt at sounding intelligent has failed.
@@Reesee.777 ??????????
@@Reesee.777 Simply that as the hammer is being pulled back slowly, the rotation of the cylinder is smooth and not jerky or hesitant, the disengagement and re-engagement of the cylinder stop is perfectly timed, and it is nice to hear the distinct clicks. Yes, this is how it should be with every revolver, but on this well-used one from 1971 it is nice to find it in good shape.
Do your shooting at a more practical range say like 7 or 10 yards which will drastically tighten up your 5 shot groups and do that revolvers accuracy more justice for where it truly shines is that close combat range !!! My comment is not to be judgmental at all !!!
Yes, you're correct - 7 to 10 yards is more realistic for most handgun usage. At the moment, the only range I have access to just has 25, 50 yards for pistols. Thank you for your comments.
What a beauty
Enjoyed the video! Why only single action, and no double action?
In 1988 I first began shooting in IHMSA Silhouette, so the crisp and light break of single action mode was normal and what I've gotten used to (I still shoot Silhouette). In general, the heavier longer pull seems to require more skill and discipline; I admire those who shoot double action well.
@@PalKrammer Yes I also find revolver double action shooting far more difficult to master. Heck, I even pull low/left the double action shot of my Beretta 92FS, before it goes to single action, which are more tightly grouped. Most revolver videos, they seem to shoot in single action. You were the first one that made a point to say that all shooting would be in single action. That is why I asked, because you had made that point. There are only a few presenters that are fast and very accurate in revolver double action.
I can't thank you enough sir. This is very helpful.
Thank you.
I am using an empty catridge case. But yes, it's not as safe as your solution.
