On November 25, CBC Sports, along with TSN, Sportsnet, and TVA Sports, will sign a new 10-year media rights deal with the NHL, so beginning in the 2026-27 NHL season and running through the 2035-36 NHL season, CBC TV will part ways with Rogers Sports & Media and regain its sole rights to the Hockey Night in Canada package, the Heritage Classic, the Thanksgiving Showdown, the Winter Classic, the All-Star Weekend, and the Stadium Series, share rights to the first 2 rounds of the Stanley Cup playoffs with TSN, TSN2, and Sportsnet, hold rights to the Western Conference final series in odd years and the Eastern Conference final series in even years, and hold exclusive rights to the Stanley Cup Finals annually.
