    another doctor i just watched says to aim for your throat because it needs to cover the skin all the way back in the nasal passage, and if you spray just the skin right at the front it won’t do anything. now you’re saying that’s bad, who do i believe 😭

    I would opt for Microdebrider or RF. These two methods are tissue sparing and can reduce your turbinates to allow for better breathing. Key is minor reduction, you don't want wide open nose that is bad, you need resistance in there for the air to move as intended. Less is more folks. My advice is to see out a very experienced ENT who has many years of practice and speak to him/her about their methods and what would be best for you. This is a major item so do your homework, get 1-3 different opinions also, no shame in it this it is your body so make sure you actually need it. Never remove all your turbinate or scissor cut them or burn them, that is a signal you have a terrible dr. I would also seek out allergy treatment, most of this is due to allergies and it will come back if you don't control your underlying issue. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!!

  • @sunnyd6019
    @sunnyd6019 Год назад

    This is due to blood flow in the tissue, when you lay down the side closest to the bed will swell closed and the top side open, that is pretty normal for most people. Usually it is more pronounced when your tissue is boggy from years of irritation, your tissue loses its ability to constrict and you get more noticeable swelling. Most people can control this with sprays but for some it is too far gone and surgery probably is the only option to reduce the tissue back to normal. Cheers

  • @sunnyd6019

    Why not just use Sudafed? LOL it does not cause rebound and works as well. Not sure why folks even consider Afrin since it just messes things up more.

    I got the Flonase and musinex been using it everyday for weeks even got the sinupulse elite and the nasal strips, ayr nasal gel, even prednisone and I've been adding saline for months....idk what to do anymore 😢 it's raising my heart rate and I've been to Soo many dr.s I just don't even want to live like this I get panic attacks Soo bad when I can't breathe. I feel like I've done everything possible 😭 please help me I'll try anything....I'm even on antibiotics once a month since! Idk what to do. I'll try this strict protocol and comment back. I can't believe this is an otc medication it's ruined my life....I'm even getting horrible neck pain from the spray because it's strangling the veins in my neck. Hurts about an hour after I use it and is relieved with a hot compress on my neck Thanks for making this video I hope it works I'll do anything

      Fluticasone in the morning and night, Buteyko breathing method, hypertonic saline multiple times a day/hour. Practice your breathing, don't breathe through your mouth, hold your breath multiple times as day- as long as you can, breathe it out through your nose. One or two sleepless nights, and I kicked a horrible 3-year afrin dependency. I definitely have underlying issues I need to deal with GERD/esophagitis and possible nasal polyps. Oh yeah, I also used alka-seltzer and tums, or Omeprazole to help with acid reduction with I feel definitely helped. Good luck!

      Have you used Sudafed? Go to pharmacy and get 12 hour 20 pack. Take 1 pill every 12 hours or as needed. It will open you up and offset the swelling.

      I made the video in response to seeing a 19 year old girl who had complete resection of her inferior turbinates about 2 years ago. She had ENS as a result. It was completely avoidable. That technique and many others went out of favor many years ago. I tried to highlight the good techniques available now, but the video became a magnet and punching bag for people who had ENS and thought that those of us who specialize in this field were just out to make money doing turbinate surgery. I got tired of the comments. I may redo it and disable comments. That way it will help people and cut out the bs comments.

      @@jamesatkins3115 I also think it would be great to have a video like that back. There seems to be a lot of different techniques that are used for this surgery but relatively little information/data available about what the best/worst options are and why. Even ENTs that I have spoken with provided little rationale for their surgical technique choice.
