The funniest song you will ever come across! (SO FUNNY!) LOL!!!

A hilariously funny song! Like for other songs!
Fantastic to watch. The big open feeling and high ceiling in this beautiful plane...is a luxury of the past, sadly.
My dad was a pilot for Eastern Airlines after he retired from the Air Force. I remember him being co-pilot on the L-1011 before making captain on their DC-9 (their largest and smallest (current) planes, respectively). Even though we lived in the southeast, he flew primarily out of LaGuardia, I believe. I got to go on a few tours of planes he flew, but never got to fly with him as pilot, apparently due to regulations not allowing family to fly with the PIC.
I flew SO MANY L-1011's back in the day. My Cousin was killed on an L-1011 unfortunately. 😢
these types of vintage videos are gold. I know this video was posted a few years ago, but Thank you for posting this. The L-1011 tristar is my absolute favorite airliner. Love the music onboard. Eerily calming and nostalgic. Was this the normal Eastern boarding music?
Love this plane! Flew it as a kid once. But this one looked to be in bad shape. Still awesome, though.
PERSONAL OPINION ALERT! Wow, they really had ugly interiors. When I was flying for America West, we got a handful of 757s from Eastern. I just never got how anyone thought the brown sidewalls and the "earth tone " seat covers were a good idea. Sorry, Eastern folks-nothing personal!
I wish this would have caught on. I guess people wanted to pay $30 less so they could be caged like cattle instead of being respectable humans. The most beautiful commercial passenger plane in history. That tail is just perfect.
Does anyone remember where the hole was to discharge the fire extinguisher if you had a fire on the bank of ovens? Don’t look it up lol.
So many memories working the L1011 and DC 10.
Wounderful.
Like walking into a conference room in the sky. Loved riding these as a kid every Christmas time.
You are Boeing Master
Flying was a real luxury back in the 1980s. I was born in 1988 and flew to El Salvador for the first time as a child in late 1996 on a TACA (now Avianca) Boeing 747x from LAX. All I remember it was late Saturday night/Sunday morning when it took off. The plane literally sounded like a vintage SpeedQueen Commercial Washing Machine when it started rolling down the runway towards the Pacific Ocean. I was permanently amazed.
Had the pleasure of flying on Eastern L1011 from Miami to Los Angeles back in 1984. A very solid and smooth flying experience.
Not having overhead bins in the middle gives the cabin a nice roomy feeling. But at the same time, just the thought of having to be on a flight with no air vent above me, makes me sweat. First thing I do after getting in my seat is crank them up to full blast. Or were planes back then not the flying saunas they are today?
My fav aircraft after the Concord that I’ve flown on.
I flew a few of Eastern Airlines Tri Stars. Roomy comfortable airliners. A real great way to fly. Miss Eastern
We should show this cabin footage to people who complains about nowadays flying :D imagine sitting for 9 hours on these seats without an ife, without headrests, without your downloaded podcasts and audiobooks on the phone. But however there is the so called entertainment paradox. Since there is nowadays such an oversipply with movies, music, videos, podcats, tik toks etc., its hard for people to focus to find anything that can catch there attention and which is immersive. Back in the days, when there was a movie played, people really watched the movie without getting distracted and got pulled in the story.
Bellevideohenri😂😂😂
I remember flying in the L1011 Chicago to San juan PR back in the 80s on Eastern. Always a great flight . Best commercial airplane ever built.
I love this video. Captures the L1011 greatly. Seemed really cool to fly on or fly.
Imagine the fight for overhead bin space amongst passengers that this aircraft would have caused if flying today ????
Do you know who has the fleet of El ten eleven's
You should have gotten it in 4k
the best aircraft ever ..... neither airbus nor boeing are like this aircraft
Don repo and Robert loft made this one excellent aircraft
drab interior
Its too bad you didnt show us how the electeonics bay underneath the cockpit looked like because ive always been curious 😢😢
Flew from Manchester to Malaga April 1999 with Caledonian Airlines, an old plane but the best flight ever.
Smoking section with no partitions 😊
I remember flying on an Eastern l-1011 in 1981 out of Columbia, South Carolina. I remember those bathrooms at the back for some reason.
I was based in San Juan during the 70's as a Steward (now Flight Attendant ) with Eastern, we mostly only flew the L1011 out of SJU with a few 727 trips. I am sure I probably worked on this Aircraft in the video numerous times. Had to hold back a tear or two watching the video. Thanks to God we were living the dream then and probably didn't realize it. Always gave a 110 % to take care of our passenger and live in San Juan during the Heydays! I will always be grateful........Hope someday the San Juan Base will have a big reunion Saludos
Excellent video!!! I've watched it several different times so far, and I don't think I'll ever get tired of it! Just curious, did you film this during the spring or fall of that year in 1986? It obviously wasn't during the summer, lol !
Great video, but it's not "rare. "It is literally here for all the world to see on RUclips.
This has been TRI PORN to watch for me. This is exactly how I remember flying here when kid. Only my memories are on actual high definition as real as I can still smell those airplanes. And even remember some of the menus, and their beautiful sound. I remember that walking torts the front always felt like you were climbing a hill. Since this beautiful birds kind of flew like that.
my father was on the 1011 out of MIA as a co-pilot in the 85-87 time frame at EAL. his only comment about flying it was, 'Don't fly South' I guess Latin and Central America was Indian country in those days. Not for the faint of heart or as the locals would say, 'No pro'lem'. The drug trade was cranking up and they would push off the gate there in MIA and disconnect and just before taxi out a vehicle would pull up, open and close a panel for unknown reasons and off they'd go? who knows WTF was going on but DEA busted a drug ring over at AA in MIA in the 90's, doing the same thing I'm sure..
Wow! Long before ATLAS and KSSU galley standards.
Hello, may I know where I can get the CBT?
What a superb aircraft was the Lockheed L1011 with its three Royce RB-211 engines which were co-developed specifically for this airplane. Far superior engineering in many respects, especially compared to the DC-10, its market competitor. It deserved more success than the 250 or so built.
The last time I flew on an L-1011 was in 2008. It was owned by a chartered company and was previously owned by Delta. It was old but well maintained.
Super Video
I flew these after they went bankrupt and Delta bought them! Beautiful Birds to fly✈️
As a child I flew alone coast to coast on the L1011. It was such an awesome experience! Love that plane!!
I wish Morgan Freeman did these.
Never got to see an Eastern L1011, but I had tiny metal model of one as a kid, though after some time the blue stripes mostly wore off. The first 757's I seen were of Eastern in Reno Nevada in the early 1980's. I only got to fly on of Delta's L1011's in the early Summer of 1999 SLC to ATL. I was seated on the right side behind the wing. The take off was the most memorable part of the flight. Never seen a wing briefly skake prior to take off on the spool up. The only thing that was a slight con on the aircraft was no luggage bins over the center seats making space limited, & tight.
I love this plane. Too bad its history was so bad.
L1011 was the finest aircraft built. RR and their crap engines sunk it!
I flew from Philadelphia to Syracuse in 1977. What power it had. Also flew in one from Korea to Washington
I did not know they had a basement galley. I flew on many types of aircraft when I was younger but unfortunately never the L10-11.
Flew on Eastern L1011's many times in the 70's and 80's. ATL to LAX and back. Great memories of really good folks. Sweetest Aircraft ever made.
