Hello, cool one. It doesn't seem to work on 3D mesh. Without knowing your tool and as I wanted a tool that could do Rain Flow (Gradient Flow on Nautilus), Mesh Field Line, I have done a tool that do like yours but type of pattern is an angle (for example 0° for Rain Flow, 90° for iso curve), and I also add a reverse option.
Hi @laurent457 ! how are you doing? Thanks for your comment. Yes, I have seen your component regarding the rain flow, which was so cool!. We have also a similar component called "flow path" in Parakeet. ruclips.net/video/-5G3uTyXOk4/видео.html Yes, you are right. At this moment, it doesn't work on 3D mesh, but we will upgrade it to be able to do this also. This algorithm is a bit different from rain flow, in which this algorithm tries to follow the mesh colors other than its curvature or height.
can these pattern be extruded to form manifold bodies?
Yes, definitely. Since these patterns consist of lines, they can be extruded as poly surfaces.

Parakeet is absolutely beautiful, I used it a lot for my generative artworks. Looking at the recent release of RH8 and I'm still on RH7 due to an unfortunate financial situation; can this be done in RH7 or do I need RH8 to achieve these examples?

Very impressive! I´ve been following the discussions on the GH Forums but found nothing. I wanted to ask if there was a way to enable veins of different roots to connect. In a Leaf some of the Veins form more of a mesh rather then staying disconnected and never crossing. Since this whole Venation thing follows a growth pattern, i was also wondering if you could eventually provide an option for the veins to be piped similar to "multipipe" but witht the option decrease the pipe diameter, the further the veins is away from the root. I can't find fatten in mesh tab (1:05:47) , for fatten a skeleten of lines/ polylines/ meshes into a solid quad mesh, where can I find that?

Can this be applied over an .obj or mesh model? Or it has to be a NURBS model?

split with the base surface and scale with each centroid.
can we offset the lines? and use it with loft to make a flat thick surface of the pattern? as I am trying but the pattern is not joined t seems and the scale command is not working in this as we do in Voronoi. please help

Hi I really like this but I can't do it myself. I lost you at about 0:45. I can generate the pattern but then suddenly the pattern has manifold lines. how do you do that? Could you do a video tutorial that explains what happens between 0:44 and say 1:00?

Could you make a plug-in for Adobe After Effects?
I have an issue, trying to make the same file as you, but I fail at 0:30 using the exact same settings as you, I can only use an offset of below 1, otherwise the offset just becomes a plane without anything visible. Edit: I found the solution, your boundary in the mesh plane component was set to 169x169.
Parakeet3D is one of the best set of tools available for architects, designers, engineers and game developers. This is one of the tools I'm using in my thesis where the authors of it are mentioned. This is a huge contribution for parametric architecture. The geometry is returning to the 'fabrics' of architecture. It was there but now is available to everybody. Please keep improving the tool. It has a future in many fields.

A tutorial for this would be greatly appreciated. I have the Parakeet. I'm using it. I got interested due to this example. Brick patterning with these tools gives a lot of flexibility for thermal design based on sun positioning. The idea is perplexing. It has a lot of potential.
the "fatten" function is not showing up on my user interface, is there a fix for this?
I'm mind-blown especially by the last example using curves as reference. Amazing!
