ASSOCIATES LIVE AT DOMINION THEATRE 1985 FIRST HALF
💙🧡🤍
Unvergleichlich fantastisch!
Their individuality is the stuff that shines through, highly original, a little misunderstood but clearly Brilliant. Few will ever emulate this prestige.
😍 stunning 😍
Which year is this?
1984
This gig is on my list for when they invent time travel. Probably the first one I'd go to. My God. What a voice.
Scotland’s finest
still can never believe how pitch perfect his harmonies goes from bass to falsetto with ease. unique.
He was such a beautiful singer with a fantastic vocal range. Slow or faster, he is a joy to listen to.
Great version of No ETC. KUDOS!!!
Still burning a torch in 2021
Incredibly talented human. RIP Billy
One concert to rule them all!
Beautiful man. Great, under-rated band. In constant rotation at my place.
:'(
The audience appreciation is dead. Poor billy!
is always the same, people didnt realise what genius they had n front of them
just started watching billy again .one of the greatest voices in music so underrated compair this to the crap we have now .rest in peace billy mackenzie.
His work with Yello was great.

"Breakfast" is perfect. "Club Country" is awful. The others are nondescript. The voice is certainly strong, but shines only on slower numbers - the faster the tempo, the duller the performance. And, sadly, only highlights how much they depended on the studio sound and production.
By their very nature and extraordinary ambition, quite a bit of Thee Associates repertoire is not suited particularly for live performance. Could you imagine a perfect live rendition of the studio version of.....Alive and Kicking In The Country Club You Dick Head?
@@rolandparr252 First of all let me assure you that between the two of us it is most certainly not me who's a Dick Head. Please have as little hesitation about it as possible, thank you. Secondly, if the song cannot be recreated live then why play it at all? It is a studio creation not suited to live environment, that's all. You must understand and respect it. Thirdly, if you still want to play that particular song then create a special arrangement for live performances, so you won't crap on yourself and a song you're trying to play, and won't push people away. Though I know quite a bit about Mr McKenzie to understand he has never been organized enough to do things properly, and with nobody around to guide him (and not allowing anyone to do that) he did what he did and predictably ended up the way he ended up.

Il cantante più talentuoso dell'epoca moderna, purtroppo se ne è andato troppo presto. Un concerto trascinante, ma come facevano gli spettatori a starsene cosi' fermi?
Yeah l thougght l lost him to 🥰🥰🥰RIP BILLY
This man had the vocal range of an angel! How could he have been let go from this Earth? God bless you Billy Makenzie.
Voice of an angel x

What a voice. RIP Billy.
I compiled a version of the audio of this gig from four different sources many years ago and now, here it is, video too, all in one place. This and much more of Billy's material should be everywhere, all the time!
Great work
Incredible. It's the last day of 2017 and I'm playing The Associates / Billy's music continuously.
Its the last day in November 2021 and I have been doing the same. What a magic in that voice What a tragic end
merci
merci
Gone but never forgotten. One of the best singers ever. Thank you for sharing.
Stunning, just stunning. What a loss to music. He had the most intoxicating voice I've ever heard and I've only just discovered him.
