Lunch at Manukan Island, Sabah
This was my working trip to KK attending several business meetings. And on a free day, decided to do something I have NEVER done before in all my trips to KK...to visit the nearby islands. I guess being unable to swim and scare of water always kinda put me off to do any water activity. But I must say, I absolutely enjoyed the trip to Manukan Island. Okay the food is pricey but the VIEW is unbeatable!!!

Due to work, I would normally visit KK once a year. But it has been four years since my last visit. In this video I visited the Sabah Art Gallery and Sabah State Museum (actually with my boss lalala). And I went to My Native Sabah to try out the traditional Kadazan-Dusun food which I ABSOLUTELY love!!!
My Food Memory @ Walter Grenier Street, Kuala Lumpur
This is a very special episode as it delves with my personal memory, in fact, some of the earliest memory of KL when I first arrived in 2001. I was young, passionate and naive one can say. I saw the world very differently upon graduated with a film degree from USM. And the stay at Walter Grenier Street changed that forever. Much of that which, derived from the memories, encapsulated in the food...
Kueh Chap in KL (Aunty Tan Sarawak Delicacies, Restoran HK, Kepong Manjalara)

Kueh Chap is really a Kuching specialty, as certainly therefore, some of the best Kueh Chaps are in Kuching. At least that is my impression. And finally I managed to find Kueh Chap in KL OMG and its located not too far away from my place. It is from a stall in a restaurant called Restoran HK. I am really happy last video I found Kompia and now Kueh Chap has appeared in KL. Sarawak food is flour...
First Time Eating Sibu Kompia in KL: Borneo Kopitiam

I am living in KL for more than over 10 years and this is the first time I eat Sibu Kompia here. What a monumental moment in my culinary journey. Besides Kompia, I also tasted Kampua and Foochow Noodle, and they are both legit!!! Run as a family business with Nita and team, I am super impressed with the food, there are many other interesting menus which I must come back again to try. If you are...
Sibu Treasure Land Ding Bian Hu

Everyone has been telling me to try at this new Ding Bian Hu place who is run by the son of the chef at the legendary Chop Hing Huong. We were sending off Louise to her friend's car to Belawai at the Jalan Ling Kai Peng, so we thought might as well give it a try since its nearby. Equipped with my Redmi Note 8 Pro, I did a simple shoot during the tasting.
Sibu Vlog: Visiting Sibu Central Market with family a day before Lunar New Year
This video was shot a day before CNY, a routine shopping we do every year. I always enjoy going to the market. I started visit the central market when I was very young. Mind you back then there was no such big complex as we have now. It was a double story building, really under-lit and quite frankly smelly as the poultry slaughtering house was underneath too. I remember seeing rows and rows of ...
Sibu Food Vlog: Ferry and Breakfast at Tanjung Maling
A breakfast meet up with new friends in Tanjung Maling sampling some really old school local noodles. I always enjoy going to the countryside and although Tanjung Maling is literally just opposite the Igan River, it does feel the world has slowed down a pace and one can take a deep relaxing breath. The food is really good by the way.
Sibu Vlog - Hann's and Flos, the arrival of Condo and Coffee
A rather unplanned trip to the Hann's Residence, the latest condo project in Sibu, where we tried the food at their Hann's Food Paradise. Can't say its the best food one can find in Sibu but the coffee around the corner is simply excellent. Very well brewed and in high quality. And we also like the relaxing ambient of the cafe. Are condo and coffee the latest trends in Sibu?

It's the Third Day of CNY, together with my brother's family, we went to take a river ride with the recently introduced Sibu River Cruise where we set sail along the Batang Rajang, the river the defines the state of Sarawak, with all it's past glories and legacies. Although the river has long gone it's prime time as the most important source of transport to the locals, it is still rather nostal...

Firecrackers and fireworks with my family
This is my first firecrackers and fireworks experience with family for more than 20 years as we usually stay rather quiet on this. Part of the reasons is because my family used to be a big fireworks and firecrackers importers and traders in the country, so we did had an abundance of chances to set off fireworks during CNY for free! But after the ban in 1990, which of course we suffered tremendo...
First Visit to Pasar Taman Indah Sibu

For years my family had been regulars at the Sunday Market at Jalan Pedada, a household name for fresh produce market besides the Sibu Sentral Market. But during the MCO, the market had been relocated to a new location at Taman Indah. Today me and my family decided to visit the market for the first time.

Hi do u know their business operating hours? Tried to search for it in website but can't find an answer.
They closed permanently already 😢
Do you know any other similar restaurant in kl / pj here? Can share?
@@christiansenng9690 there's a lot of sarawak restaurants in pj, highly competitive too but if you're looking for a restaurant with Sibu recipes and flavours there's none that i know of. Can try Tiger Mama in kepong, they're ok. There's few in serdang and seri kembangan before but sadly covid killed em too. You can try look around in cheras/sg besi area as there's lots of sarawakian there. In PJ for kolo mee/laksa/kueh chap kuching style you can go to Aunty Tan Expert Noodles Bandar utama branch, honestly the best i tested, very authentic.
Nice to eat
Mantap

With mince meat, it’s more tasty.
What car are you driving
Very interesting just knowing Sibu has cruise boat.❤ I used to organise river cruise adventure Danau Sentarum-Kapuas River Cruise Adventure twice in Kalimantan Barat. Among cruise participants were Lt. Gen. (Rtd) and some Datuks and Datins and the most recent even Tan Sri. By the way is there any hp/wa contact of this cruise operator? Thanks.❤👍🙏👏🤝
Would be better if you were not eating when explaining.
Any new upload
I heard Sibu is a gangster town. Chinese gangsters and Malay/Iban robbers on bikes. Is this true.
aiya...guo ho liak!
The word EAT in Fuzhouhua, from "Xia" to "Lia" In Standard Chinese/ Mandarin/ Putonghua, it is known as "liandu bian yin" ie. liandu = continuous reading bian = change yin = sound I think in English language, it is known as "sandhi words". Fuzhouhua has a lot of sandhi words. Thank you 😊.
Hello We need a Foochow speaker for a project, kindly, get in touch if you're interested!
Glad to see you were able to enjoy fireworks again. Celebrating with fireworks is both cultural and patriotic. Whenever they are outlawed I wonder what the politicians were thinking when the prohibition laws were passed.
love this
This is so awesome!! I’m trying to pick it up! Please do more videos like this!! ❤

Such an accurate description of the situation in west Malaysia, east Malaysians couldn't care less about the whole religious/ethnicity divide-in Kuching you will see at the same kopitiam ,Chinese tucking into kolo mee and Malays eating mee Jawa and sharing the same table without as much as a side ways glance or raised eyebrow-if in KL might spark a mini riot..
You have said everything that needed to be said. Thank you Emi.

Tiger Mama noodle house at Desa Aman Puri near Kepong serves very very good kampua, kolo mee and char chu mien. Boss from Sibu. Im from sibu too. You should try.
I tried many years ago, personally its not my top favorite to be honest and quite pricey also right? But thank you for your recommendation.
