Bladesinger Spells I'd choose (Based on my D&D and BG3 experience): 1st Level: Shild (MUST), Expeditious Retreat, (Will replace for haste later?), Longstrider (Must, with Bladesong you get 50ft move), 2nd Lvl: Misty Step & MIrror Image are also Must. 3rd Level I'd go Haste, SHadow Blade, and Spirit Shroud (YOu have to pick one of the three at a time). I do like FIreball, but.... Magic Missile is nice, but I tend to prefer chromatic Orb instead. Other spells could be Dimension door, and For Cantrips, HAVE to get Booming Blade, and perhaps Green Flame blade (those two, I'd pick Booming for sure). True strike can be nice, and Light could be useful bu so can produce flame (not as much damage as firebolt, but light and range attack if youc an get it). Shocking grasp isn't bad, but I'd go booming blade, and maybe BLade Ward or Minor illusion or Mage hand is always useful. Find familiar is also helpful spell, and I forget all of it now, but Yeah, Darkvision if you dont' have it (my half elf does, so forgoing Light and Dark vision). Greater invisivility and fly could work, but I'd pick longstrider, activate bladesong, and move 50ft, with Hast you get another action where you can dash, and it increases your movement speed,and Yeah. Keep most your level 1 slots for shield, BTW. Longstrider isa ritual, which is great, and Yeah, Shadow blade is good, But so is spirit shroud. If you can get another caster (Gale?) to haste you, that is SICK with Spirit Shroud or Shadow Blade. Also, THunderstep is Nice, and maybe picking a couple of Level of Paladin give you Divine Smite and possibli cure wounds, and a couple other cool spells like sanctuary, Protection from evil (not as good) but sanctuary is worth it.

And the fact you can use Booming Bladed AND Shadow Blade together (I am one who BEGGED my DM to let me in D&D 5e) its not bad!

in D&D, I never wanted to play as a Wizzard (I tend to like sorcerers or druids as casters, and I think a Moon Druid can be a good gish, same for spores druid or shepherd druid). BUT, when I saw this, I think this IS the best Gish class in D&D. Add the 5e Spells that gives Booming blade, and now I have to restart my Edritch Knight again :) and play abladesinger...

people also need to realize bladesinger is a caster class that have strong saving throws and ac. It can use some spell-attack interaction items, but it will never beat an actual melee class. so cast cantrips to trigger your items and then hit ppl with buffs on you. or just straight up cast real spells and watch enemy miss you with +5 ac. on the other hand, do not try to be a caster as arcane knight, you are just a fighter that uses utility spells to buff yourself or your allies. transformation school is your best friend.

u should not be able to cast cantrip twice even if they are performing a melee attack. With extra attack, it only means u can attack + cantrip or the other way around. It is a bug, I think they fixed it now.

My favourite is Protocol then Derelict then Skyline. But that may change .I love the sneaky tunnel in Skyline.

Ok, I ran this build on my first play through, still haven't finished, and it's awesome. I was wanting to see what all you did, but I'm sorry to say I cannot watch this video to pull out the details. You go off on too many tangents and get out of character creation too much and back to you. I don't need to see you, just keep the info displayed the whole time and get through the information quicker. Could you please post a build in the description?

10/10 would recommend the Risky Ring in Act II (Advantage on all attacks in exchange for disadvantage on saves).

Doesn’t Eldritch Blast have a passive ability that you can toggle on and off if you want to push your enemies? Never tried it myself so I could be wrong and always just live with me pushing someone with loot off a cliff 😂. But yeah, really wish you could choose to push or not as a reaction menu option

One upside of the hoodie is it battles against your gamer posture

War caster can be a useful feat for this build if you want to keep up concentration

The Steam Deck is absolutely the Backlog buster - and I pretty much only use my main PC for Destiny 2. Even putting in an hour or two to try a game has helped me try or move through dozens of games, even those I don't care to finish fully. My spreadsheet has really helped me organize my backlog and prioritize at least. Using the Playnite app also helps organize my PC catalog in one main place too. Good luck!

Oblivion is dope on the deck, I actually ended up just making a layout for it that worked alright, just used the trackpads for menus but will definitely try modding in the controller support

I'm doing my first playthrough with this build, and it's amazing. With haste he took away Orin's Unstoppable stacks almost instantly.

Good build, but i think that the BardLock could be a better choice for "the face" of the party.

Is there a way to switch out cleric for Sorcerer? I hear you can twin spell haste which sounds incredibly op to me.

One thing I feel a lot of people are kinda missing out on is Elixirs, Potions and Scrolls. Those are practically free Spells and Stats. Even in Act1 you can dump Str, and just use a Str Elixir to get it to 21. Useful for min/maxing, but also, it just makes sense to use your whole Toolkit, which includes all of the items at your disposal.

A bit late to the party here, but if you're going to invest that far into dexterity, you should probably drop the heavy armor for a medium armor with the exotic materials property by the end of the game.

So glad you've played GOW, its in my top 5 games. I want to play the sequel but waiting for it to come to PC. Managed to avoid spoilers for it too!!

Longstrider is damn near busted. Add 3m of movement to your party. You can cast it as a ritual spell (no cost) out of combat and it lasts until long rest. Such a great party utility spell and at no cost

Weird how similar a character I made is but so different at the same time instead of athlete I took sharp shooter and took archery from fighter lv 1 and dueling from bard made my dex 20 same everything else and used a ring to make my bard spells cast on bonus actions as well as illithid powers I was definitely carrying my hm group the whole game felt pretty mid max to me 😂
