4:52 absolutely breathtaking! Adding the couple of Minecraft music chords was 🤌. I really love the small timelapse intervals. So enjoyable to watch mate! Thanks for the amazing content/inspiration!
Why are you fat shaming the pixels :(
We've confirmed he's just dense
This looks so cool! I've always wanted to make a world like this in MC
Thanks for all the support! If you like worldbuilding and wanna chat or share your builds, I made a discord! discord.gg/ZjvF8BWuhB
I really enjoy watching your videos and listening to you just talk about the game. Takes me back to the good ol' classic LP days. Personally i'd like a little more variety in the background music, because after binging like 3-4 videos the music becomes a little monotone. Keep up the work! I'm looking forward to see more from you <3
Glad you've enjoyed them! Funny you mention that, because I've started experimenting with music more haha. Hopefully it's better in the newer episodes. I also dropped the background music more so its not as loud and prominent
Looks sick af currently watching a bunch of dwarven style builds because I’m currently building my own and some references and new ideas. Good luck!!
That's awesome man! I definitely tried looking for dawrven builds to be inspired by but couldnt find too many examples
I hate the new villager thing we’re they increase the price of u sell or buy something often. N then takes afew days to refresh/go down to regular price.
Think it used to be a thing before, but I hear its gotten worse with the villager update
22:58 replace the trapdoors on either side with slabs, and it should block lineof sight often enough for the villagers to sleep occasionally
I'll have to test that out, so I guess only some of the Villagers need to sleep?
The villager bit was hilarious! I'm always so impressed with the entrance to the city every time I see it!
@@TotalThomasMan haha glad you liked it! Wanted to do a bit of experimenting
Best way to do interiors is to think of it the same way as it would be in real life, people working in these places for hours. They need somewhere to sit, to keep their things, a canteen nearby, that sort of stuff. Loving the vid
@Melonlordrinrei im gonna need to make some separate builds to fill those needs, otherwise the build would be too big haha
could you maybe lower the game sound a lil bit? Sometimes it gets loud lol
Thanks for pointing that out! I'll drop the in game audio, don't seem to notice it when I'm editing
What should we call the Dwarven City? Share your builds and ideas in the discord! discord.gg/ZjvF8BWuhB
Tronjheim sounds like a dwarvenish name Another name could be the city of eternal twilight
If am I to get nerdy about it, I would say something like Sverd i fjell on account of the Dwarven names in The Hobbit being taken from Norse mythology, and Sverd i fjell meaning Swords in Rock; an archaeological site where three massive swords embedded in stone are set in a place where King Harald Fairhair famously unified Norway after a decisive battle in the late 9th century. Or something like that
I thought of several names, and I found these two-Runescar and Mithral Hall-to be the most beautiful and appropriate for a Dwarven city. I hope you like it
@@Xelaexists is that an Eragon reference I see 👀
@ yep
28:08 The mod looks to be Carry On, which can be useful but also quite OP if abused!
1:18 One propagule is enough, you can shear a leaf block from the first tree, place it at least one block above the ground, and bonemeal it to get another propagule to generate. Bonemeal the immature propagule a couple of times, and it will mature. You can do this infinitely on a placed mangrove leaf block!
Oh that's awesome, had no idea that was a thing
I can see how Create could with very well for some of these concepts. You've given me some inspiration for builds on my Aetherial Airships SMP server, which does have Create!
Create does currently limit you to being in 1.20.x, so you've made the right call if you want your world to work in current version Minecraft
Yeah that was the biggest worry, didn't want to get locked out of content if it suddenly stopped getting updated
Very inspiring builds! I especially like the bridge pattern
Nice build! Congrats on getting monetised too!
The algorithm decided not to show me your videos as much recently, so I'm binging the ones I've missed and hitting the bell to teach it a lesson
Dang you algorithm! Always appreciate the support, techheadfred!
Been watching from the beginning of this world, your commitment to taking it “slow” is admirable, many others say the same and have an elytra the next week! 😅 But you’re right I think it might be time. Thanks for the episode!
Definitely would cut down on my travel time haha
What is your seed? It is looking amazing with these Tectinic mountains!, I am looking for one like yours for quite a while 😊
-4461508117297502451 at ~3000, -6000. You need to make it large biomes in the settings though!
maybe in the little room you could put the zombie and do like a transformation room or a beast keeping room! also another idea- in the last episode i saw a comment talking about how the detailing of the builds makes the video heavier (excuse my english its not my first language, i hope u understand what i mean) maybe u could talk ab the general view of the builds while the timelapse/cinematic is running and then go through the details in game mode. Saw some other youtubers do it and i think is enjoyable (as someone who loves watching all the process of builds)
Great recommendations! I had thought about potentially doing a voice over the timelapses but I'll have to play around with that. Don't worry, I understand what you mean!
Shouhi cool idea i have a build similar cooking up in a Badlands biome. Fully multi coloured and functional base to support a huge cave. An idea i am having is too utilising alot of the best building block tuff. The colour is really grounded by the greenish grey of tuff. Also the occupants of white and silver will pop the base open. Any tips to gathering alot of Tuff?
Tuff is definitely one of the best building blocks now haha. Seems like the best way to gather it for me is just digging for it near diamond/deepslate layer. Just need to stumble upon a few clusters!
There's a texture mod out there that can change villagers into various fantasy races including dwarves so long as you have a nametag to rename them if that's something that would catch your fancy. (Also I really think glowstone would go very well with this build.)
I'll have to check that out! I do also want to give some villagers names in the future though so that may be an issue
@@Shouhi Other option I would recommend then would be Whurp's Realistic Villagers. There's some really good textures and designs in there also for the iron golum and pillagers, witches, invokers, etc.
At 20:00 I was thinking Pringles can mustach honestly 😂. I love the build.
Man... now I can't unsee it
Yo awesome vid I have a question… to get the sick mountain ranges that u have in ur world is it just turning on large biomes and having a good seed or are you also using a mod for it?
Yep just large biomes turned on and a good seed. This mountain range is a few thousand blocks from spawn on my seed so you just need to look around. If you use "chunky" it might be easier for you to find a seed with a mountain range as well. If you're interested in my seed it's -4461508117297502451 at ~3000, -6000
@@Shouhi thanks man appreciate it keep up the good work
What are your mods? Could you give us your modpack?
Currently it's just a blend of mods I threw together. I can work on making a proper mod pack so it's easier to download though
Awesome video:)
Glad you liked it!
another great one
Always appreciate it Cuboyd!
I laughed out loud when you got killed the slime 😂
Clearly not made for hardcore 😅
@@Shouhi hahaha 10/10 episode my man. I love all of the story elements. An incredible production as always!
You would hate it but you could add stone buttons or stone pressure plates in areas you don’t want them spawning and it still be dark. You could also use glow lichen.
That's actually not a bad idea! Although I guess glow lichen would be the easier option
@@Shouhi Honestly you can put the glow lichen on the floor as well. Also light grey carpet!
You always do such a great job with immersion! Keep it up dude!
Gotta make the world feel lived in somehow!
Absolutely amazing mate! Love the pops of colour on the mine house!
Always appreciate the support, Jfiggsy! Your series is giving me the modded playthrough itch haha
@@Shouhi I’d be watching!!
I don't know if you want to go that route but the Torchmaster mod has a mega torch which forbids the spawning of hostile mobs, but you can keep having dark areas (64 blocks around the torch). You can also hide the torch underground if you don't want it to be a light source
That's a neat mod! But think I'll try to avoid adding too many mods that aren't for Ambience/QOL. Thanks for the suggestion though!
Thanks for watching! If you'd like to discuss worldbuilding or just share your builds, check out the discord! discord.gg/ZjvF8BWuhB
HEY I SAW THIS BUILD ON REDDIT
Ay! That was me!
Your videos are really great, I'm in
Hey, can you tell me the seed of the world? 🙏😊 I really love your style of buildings and the way you make the series! Keep goin mate. 😊
-4461508117297502451 on Large Biomes, these specific mountains are quite far from spawn though! ~3000, -6000 I'll include the coordinates in future videos
@@Shouhi Thank you so much, I'll start my journey too! :)
Bloody damn comrade the Red Rising mention alone has earned a subscribe but also sick ass build!!! I've been looking for this kind of inspiration for a while!
I think part of the class system in red rising works surprisingly well for dwarves: Golds, coppers, obsidian. Even fits Minecraft!
To answer your time lapse question, I like the idea of a mix of timelapse/cinematic with some real-time building interspersed? I know there was a comment about too much recap talking, and while I don’t necessarily agree, maybe combining both would space out the recap a little?
Appreciate the insight! Yeah, I'm trying to find the right balance still at the moment
I’m planning a dwarven kingdom base so this is the perfect series to find! Thank you for showing the process and playing mostly vanilla! It helps us bedrock players!
That was the goal! Didn't want to isolate bedrock players from things like the create mod. Everything else is just quality of life and ambiance mods so it shouldn't be too different!
3:38 dont!! i love watching the work behind the builds
Haha thats the general concensus it seems. I'll add gathering montages and stuff where it fits!
I like the mix of Cinematic and the normal time lapses, and some real time building to highlight some new technique or lore you’re going for. My favorite part is the world building. Quarry is looking great! Thanks!
HellDiver Dwarves!! Let’s go!
Appreciate the insight! I'll try to incorporate a bit of each
I think you should try Flowstate style of Building. By that I mean a little bit of Live building in between along with speeding through most of the build. It's good to give info while building along with not making the video lengthy.
@@shivendraupadhyay1565 might need to give that a shot! Only thing is I do preplan in creative and then build in survival, and I know flowstates videos are recorded while in creative haha
24:08 personally I think spruce would look better than dark oak wood, rest looks fine
Yeah I tested out spruce and just opted for dark oak instead to differentiate it a bit from the scaffolding on the walls. Prob should just kept it spruce though!
i love the longer vid length with more real time stuff but don't mind the time lapses either
Yeah, I'm trying to figure out where to add the real-time building without the video length getting to crazy
I really like what you did to that drip stone hole…absolutely love the crane. I’ll probably just leave it or maybe build a bridge across. I don’t have the lore like you do…Love the lore! The issue I’m running across is, I can’t find a single piece of bamboo…I’ve travelled 1000’s of blocks and found a sparse jungle biome but, alas, no bamboo. I need it desperately for my builds. If you happen to see a bamboo jungle on your map, I would be grateful. The biomes are definitely large! I do know where a couple of Mansions are though…just in case you want to know. Lol Enjoying the series.
It's cool you're playing along haha. Your best bet is to find a shipwreck as those sometimes have bamboo. But you can also use the website "Chunky" to locate biomes if you really need. One of the downsides of large biomes is having to travel thousands of blocks just to find biomes. I believe I got my bamboo on the southwest side of the map where there's a badlands and jungle.
Yes, I figured that out....never seen such large dark oak and birch forests! lol And have lots of azalea trees marked so, looking forward to exploring some massive lush caves. I found at least a dozen shipwrecks/treasure maps and was hoping to get lucky but, nope. I'll check out that website as the last one I tried to download almost crashed my MC. Or just head south west...been every other direction. This seed is just amazing! Thanks!
Missed your comment, but you just need to input the world seed into the website chunky and you can look for biomes and structures. No need to download anything!
Awesome job with the builds as always!
Always appreciate you, Thomas!
For me, I like watching cinematic building and timelapses. My only critique is when you start to talk abt your builds after finishing them. You start to drag on going over all the little details, which is nice, but when there's a lot to look at it really drags on
That's valid, definitely spent a lot of time talking about small details. Trying to find the best way to proceed for future videos!
@Shouhi my suggestion would just to cut back on the talk of the details. You don't need to explain all the little details, we can tell what it is because you're a good builder
I completely disagree! Your talking and descriptions are why I watch your videos at all! Too many silent builders - I like to know what you're thinking!
@eoulleragal1871 i think a little bit of talking is good, don't get me wrong, but imo it drags on, so I start to lose focus on the video
