Good to see a new vid again! My biggest concern when I started the pipe, was becoming addicted to "vitamin N". I have not found that to be the case at all - at least for the quantity I smoke. Several times since I've started, I've gone many days without any tobacco, and had no withdrawal symptoms. Praying for you in your situations. I know we all come out the other side stronger. 👍🍻

I also find it difficult to refrain from ashing a stick. Only during specific occasions has reporting been so controlled, maybe it's always been this way but everybody seems to be too compliant.

@@firstpersonsmoker don't know if the paper filters will make much difference. Germany (and Austria) is 9mm filter country and most EU aromatics are sold there, so the blenders have the filter smokers in mind when creating those.

I’ve been curious about stocks of blending components being low, too. Seems like no one site has everything I use just for a single blend anymore.
It's funny because right after I made this video I looked and some are coming back.
Over thinking it. Just fill your jars and tighten up the band. No moisture is getting out and no air is getting in. I have a bunch of bulk sutliff aromatics I bought when I first started smoking pipe in late 2019. I forgot I had them. Started smoking them again and they are exactly the same as they were when I put it all in mason jars 4 or so years ago.
ITS FUN TO HEAR IT POP WHEN YOU OPEN EM THOUGH

I recommend for blending hobbyist to get whole leaf tobaccos to play with. Cavendish, Perique, and other sorts can all be made yourself. So much fun. This is not the bottom of the rabbit hole though. You can easily start growing your own tobaccos to play with.

Great to see the press in action, love doing the home blending, my pops always used a small screwdriver to tamp his pipe those mini ones with the round top, I like to use a 410 cartridge. Great badge stay free

Thanks for the comments and compliment on the pipe, it's made from two Missouri meerschaum Legends, I charred the stummel in a couple spots with a MAP torch, then gave it a couple coats of maple colored stain and some spray clearcoat, the bowl is coated with spray-on truck bed liner and it has a stem from a bent Missouri meerschaum pipe that I used a different stem on. It would be easy to reproduce! I love tricking-out corn cob pipes.
Gotta be careful with Red Wings too. I just about accidentally bought the import version. Had to spend about 25% more to get the USA made equivalent. 🇺🇸😕
