Run, Cyberpunk, Run; a madness fueled, cyberpunk / ambient journey #ambient #cyberpunk #braindance
Imagine, waking from a nightmare that you just can't quite remember, in a cold sweat, just a few minutes before you need to get up to prep for the night's job. The year is 2089 and you are a down-on-your-luck programmer whose last gig ended quite abruptly when you found the doors chained up and padlocked shut when you arrived at the office one morning. Apparently your employer thought they could save themselves a bit of cash by shutting down just before the holidays and reopening again in early February of the new year so they stopped paying the lease but did not tell any of the employees at your branch about it. Technically no one was fired, but who could afford to not work for over thre...

I swear this was supposed to be a quick sketch, but then I just wasn't happy with it. So, I just kept on going; adding modules until I was somewhat satisfied. I am sure I could push this patch and idea further, and I may... But for now, here it is... The ambient pad is created from the Organ Three fed through one of the galaxy reverb modules and two variations of Clouds and the Chonoblob delay....

September Ends In Loops #dnb #acid #edm
Просмотров 96Месяц назад
This one was made for the Splice Discord September Challenge in which we were limited to using only loops from Splice server deities: eklektos and miruu. The dope, Autobreak module from Voxglitch is chopping up several loops following the cv values coming out of the Sickozell holder8 sample and hold modules being fed different flavors of noise from VCV NOIS. I loaded a few of the loops into the...
ambient cyberpunk atmosphere -Rogue Transmission from within the World Computer- full album preview

An atmospheric cyberpunk ambient experience built inside of vcv rack. And yes i thought about using another instance of clouds clones and galaxy reverbs ;) Found a fun work around for using the ChowDSP Chow Tape Degrade on a polyphonic signal by sending it a fixed voltage and using it's output as an envelope for the VCV VCA which is polyphonic. Just about finished up with this, still some final...

there is quite a bit going on in this patch, but essentially it is two main sequences that share fx modules being switched by the final output on the Fibonacci Clock Divider with some other muting being controlled by lfo or clock sequences. There is a bit of logic in the rhythm of one of the sequences as you may notice, where i am finding the XOR between 2 clocks for the envelope of one of the ...

wavetablebot is just starting to get its groove on, you just wait. But here's a taste at least... this started out from building a labeled and usable wavetable synth in vcv rack and then it all went wrong ;) . i couldn't get a clear recording of this while screencapturing, i even had to cut the tape delay FX from ChowDSP to get a (mostly) glitch free recording I am running Morph EQ again throug...
psy-bot has got the blues; vcv rack and Behringer WASP jam

poor old psy-bot is a bit down... integrated the Behringer WASP Deluxe into the patch using the VCV Audio module, a simple little Zoom AMS-22, and CV to MIDI to control the pitch information and send gate signals to the WASP. The audio from the WASP was used to modulate one of the percussive synth voices in VCV. Was recently gifted this hardware and this was my test drive patch, let me know wha...

As person, who started to study FL studio or some other shit, I see this as jungles
@@Marhalthebelchonok yes it is a real mess
That's what I'm talking about! Abolutely insane rack my man (also really enjoyed the little lore snippet in the description)
Damn impressive work. Just one question: Why did you get into this field of noise/musicmaking?
And i'd actually like to ask another: Could you explain what all of these things that i am watching on screen are? I'd assume they have something to do with the noise but i'm not sure.
I think it is mainly that I enjoy the process of making things like this; there's no limits to what you can do or where you may end up. And there aren't any rules to this kind of music which is nice; freeing you know. I also make other kinds of music from hip hop to punk, but mostly idm, experimental, and ambient.
I can't explain "all" the things because that would take forever and still be rather confusing. However, lets look at a specific simpler moment and start there and you can ask another question afterward if you like...
Throughout the video, we are looking at what we are hearing. The modules [those different colored boxes that are wired together] that you see are where the sound is being generated. For instance in the opening part of the video we are only looking at what is known of as a patch, or one group of modules. And the sounds are rather thin because we are only listening to the two VCF modules self-oscillating. They are black modules just below center in the patch, and are filters, which in normal operation are used to cut some of the frequencies out of a signal [filter them] in a certain range like a lowpass filter lets the low frequencies "pass" through the filter. But here in the first few seconds, there is no audio being passed through the filter, I am make them create a tone by turning up the resonance until the filter self-oscillates, or creates a tone at the frequency of the filter cutoff value [the big knob].
this tone is sent through a bunch of reverb and a little delay... there is a ton going on in this work. But put simply, the center section is playing back the audio created from the left and right side sections in a digital approximation of a varispeed playback device [like how I might have used a reel-to-reel in another era]. And I am using a bit of a fake tape delay here as well with the pair of Prince of Perception delay modules being fed into ChowDSP's tape emulation modules Chow Tape Compression and Chow Tape Degrade. The Ice Cube Tray modules are a sort of tape delay as well. All the blue Galaxy modules are reverb(s). This would be an expensive hardware modular synth, this was made on two computers that I controlled and recorded simultaneously, so it was even a little expensive in software...
I’ve used this patch before
lol, which bit?
Nice patch .. enjoyable
what the fuck am i wathcing wow. impressive
Visceral reaction in the first 35 seconds. Lovely!
just one more cable. Ok one more. Another cable. A single cable away from perfection. Maybe another cable-
100% the next one will have twice as many cables; I ran out of processing power and am using 2 computers with 2 patches for it.
@@vav_vavrekOH my goodness this out goes to that in.. right??😊
actually what the fuck?
escaping from cable management police
There is no escape. They don't make it out, only deeper into the uncertain, perilous depths. Lol.
It sounds like surviving in the web of perdition - all vital signs are deterministically chaotic.
beautiful
It's amazing! So massive patches always plunge into the abyss! I would like to know how you change the parameters? I do not see the cursor. Are you doing this on the touch panel?
i have the cursor hidden by OBS studio but you can see the little text box pop up when i mute/unmute and turn knobs but i am just using a mouse and/or the macbook trackpad to manipulate. though much of the modulation is sample and hold (Geodesics Branes) fed by the VCV Nois module.
I'm happy that youtube blessed me with such a suggestion, enjoyed every second of it, brain melting neat stuff. ☢️
Nice textures and wooblebleble , sound meca train ridim dubstep ..

What do you mean by that title?
Everything we've ever known has been a substitute for what could have been. Knowing you're cursed is a blessing.
i guess i am talking to my dad with the title....
Sounds aggressive...gg
I love the creativity and the sound, although I'm just looking at bright colors, wires and listening to the synths, keep up your work, this is really cool !!
Holy crap! This is awesome

this is unreal
This sounds like future. The mids, the highs, the middles all at once. Unity style!

how much CPU and RAM was VCV Rack consuming?
Just about all of it ;) the highest that I think i saw in the max usage was around 160% and it was more when I had Youlean Loudness Meter open as well through VCV Host, I had to close that and not open the vst window for Ozone 11 Elements to ensure a minimum of recording glitches as there was occasionally lag with all of them open. This is running on a moderately powerful gaming laptop for reference.
holy shit
what DAW do you use to make music like this?
this was done with max/MSP
@@vav_vavrek please teach me how to use it😁
Max /MSP/Jitter is a visual programming environment for audio and video creation. In it you use specialised objects to build custom software. Check it out at: cycling74.com/products/max cycling74.com/learn It is a deep rabbit hole, but well worth it if you want to make really custom software for audio and video production. Or make crazy music :)
@@vav_vavrek thanks🔥😍

Very interesting
Electronic music / sounds, to create a space and an event inside it, full of atmosphere and tension. Like it very much!
Very dark and brooding I appreciate this. It does feel like a musicification of mental illness. It is great to have awareness of it, and to externalize it because by externalizing it you realize your mental illness is separate from your true self and your higher self. 🌞 🛸👽👋 Thanks for sharing this! Very cool visuals too
