I actually like the dynamic island, sure it is annoying to have a big part of the screen blocked by a pill but the animations are what brings life into iphones

If Apple really wanted to ditch the notch for the sake of a “redesign”, I just wished they focused on miniaturizing the components that makes the notch first before going for this fugly gimmick pill hahaha. I daily drive an iPhone 13mini and to be honest, iPad mini 6’s Touch ID can actually fit on the side of this compact phone. Which can double as the power button.

I have been using samsung mid range phone for many years, now I want to use iphone but I don't like dynamic island. If Apple launch any model with circular cutout, I will definitely buy it. And I also like pixel phone but pixel don't have services center in my city. Otherwise I have to buy another samsung.

Most RUclips videos don’t have a big enough aspect ratio for the island to cut into the actual video. Also, that guy saying Face ID is stupid, it’s literally the fastest Face ID in the market lol. And it’s not just for Face ID. It includes a true depth sensor as well, which is needed to make sure you’re paying attention to the phone so it doesn’t auto dim. It also helps with taking selfies. People who trash on the Dynamic Island are either mad their androids aren’t as good, or just don’t realize the new things you can do with it that save you time and do more. Such as, switching from music to maps and easily opening up those menus. So many more things.

I just think of the Dynamic Island as a digital notch, but I’m always switch between my iPhone 15 and iPhone SE 3 cause I’m so much more used to the home button than I am Face ID and, I’ll admit, the Dynamic Island is a little distracting when I’m watching videos or playing games, but honestly the iPhone 15 works great with games

Imo it has some nice features to it but it isn't worth the tradeoff of having a big black blotch on your screen. I came to this video specifically because i was scrolling tiktok for a bit and started noticing that i literally can't read some captions since the island is covering half of it. So as a result i now have to scroll halfway down everytime i wanna read a caption at the top of a video which is extremely annoying.

For the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 15 it’s not true that it shows when watching a RUclips video! Maybe the new update fixed that? But I am able to watch a RUclips video without the Dynamic Island showing!

Thanks for this video… i was thinking of upgrading to an iPhone 15 pro max but the Dynamic Island problem when watching for example youtube videos is something I don’t like about it! :-/ hopefully they take it off or change that for future iPhones!

I feel like if apple made an under screen face id and front camera, they should add a toggle if they want the island or not. Maybe even customisable shape of the island, even a circle, pill, etc.

That’s not true. Dynamic Island is touch sensitive and software integrated. So I never felt like it’s taking away a part of my screen because it never blocks anything. If something is under it or near it, I touch it and it would respond unlike the notch. It also makes multi tasking much easier. Stop content farming.
