Hello and welcome.
This channel is inspired by the ancestors, folklore, myth, and the interconnected worlds in which we live; all offer much nourishment. We can be strengthened by these offerings, and find healing.
January 2024: My journey will be continuing with a new blog, Creel & Cauldron, where I will explore poetic forms, and the mysteries of poetic inspiration.
I'll still be around, interacting with others here on RUclips, and will likely create more videos down the road. Hi Maureen. I'm team spay/neuter as well, and my own cats have always been taken care of. However, to spend time with those beautiful little beings, and to simply be in the moment, was a treasure.
Kittens are so dear...I apologize ahead of time but I'm that person...I hope your friends get the momma and babies spayed and neutered. Take care Liz =)

Hi Aurora. It's a mint that does taste like strawberry. I don't care for the flavour so much when it's fresh (I find it a little bitter), but dried, it makes a nice tea.

Hi Liz! How charming, they're such adorable little birds. I'm glad to see you still have some around you. Mine seem to have all disappeared in the last few weeks. I don't even hear any, even if they're not coming to the feeders. I've checked with friends who reported the same thing, no sign of any in weeks. I've never not see any at the feeders even in spring when things are blooming. I hope they'll be back.
Oh, I hope so! I was outside again yesterday evening and saw the same little guy feeding on the currant and a maple tree. Take care Maureen.

I just looked it up, they call a group of robins a "round" or "blush" or a bunch of other names! LOL I love robins. I had a very noisy murder of crows in my backyard the other day. Wish I could have gotten video of that!

Hi Liz, how interesting that you have direct ties to the history of the Salem witch trials and the "witch" house where the judge lived. I believe Nathaniel Hawthorne was a relative of his as well. I also think many tourists are under the impression that "witches" lived in that house, rather than the judge who determined their fate. I travel through there all the time as I live in the next town over. *Correction*...I was mistaken...it is John Hathorne, (the other judge in the witch trials) who was a relative of Nathaniel Hawthorne. Hawthorne changed the spelling of his name because he didn't want the association with his ancestor. I believe Hathorne was Nathaniel's great-great grandfather.

Thanks Aurora. It's a beautiful spot that I'd say is especially beautiful during the darker months. And I think the sound of the hammer adds a surprisingly poetic touch.
Wow, what a beautiful view! If you still want to write that article on your roots, take it in small chunks. Jot down notes as ideas come to you and you can organize it later. Writing is re-writing, as they say.
Thanks, Maureen for the good advice. You are right and I have been feeling disappointment in giving up on a topic that I feel is important. It is a beautiful view! I wanted to zoom in on the ducks, but my hands were so cold that I had to leave my gloves on. I was, therefore, unable to swipe the screen on my phone🦆
