80,000 points sounds like a great offer! I have a couple of weeks to decide, but don't think I'm going to wait that long and just go for it. You praised JAL’s service, but rated it a 9.7? How did you make that determination and didn’t give a 10.0? You compare US carriers and their service is far inferior than JAL.

The 777 economy seats on United may be the worst of every seat config on that plane . The 777 was designed for 3-3-3 seats but airlines cram an extra one in , making the economy seats insanely narrow . I think United puts the smallest and narrowest seats on their 777 out of any airline

We had the worst experience at the Prime class lounge on 7th November. The staff there is too rude, all three ladies possess a racist behaviour. We had to catch a flight in Emirates airlines, though the lounge was more than 50% was empty as you can see from the attached pics they did not allow us to enter for 30 mins saying these seats are reserved for other guests and airlines. Spoke to my family in a very rude behaviour which I did not encounter in entire US during my visit. It seems they feel nobody is watching them and they can behave with guest the way they want. Strict action should be taken action such behaviour and @JKFAIRPORT Authority should investigate the issue and make employees accountable. Avoid going to this lounge is what I would strongly recommend, and airlines like @Emirates should take dis associate with such lounge as they differentiate in airline guests.

Really good review, but I wouldn’t put all North American carriers in the same bucket Sam. I’ve done cross Atlantic and cross pacific on dozens of carriers. Unless you get an empty seat next to you none is especially comfortable in economy. Jal has one less seat across than most carriers so kudos to them - and their food is good. My biggest tip? Use seat guru to find you a better seat.

I was going to sign up for this card when I flew JetBlue the other day. I figured they’d have a great offer for signing up in flight. All I was given was a promo number that when I entered it on the cards application website added 5000 points to their current 50,000 point initial offer. I guess I’ll wait for that 80,000 point promotion. I’ve been using cash back rewards cards and figured I’d give an airline miles card a shot

Are signup free night awards valid for all-inclusives? Those are category A,B,C,D etc as opposed to 1-8.

Always there is no comparison when come to services between most Asian or Middle East airlines vs the US. JAL PE foods are practically the same as in the Economy. A few minor differences for long haul flight are that in PE you can have a nice small bottle of champagne as well as JAL special Udon cup, which is fairly delicious. However, the Business class seat is definitely way more comfortable. It may not look much bigger but it does and you cannot beat fully recline experience! The food service used to be on demand in business long haul last I flown a few years ago from DFW to NRT and it was excellent.

I wanna catch the 80,000 points when they offer it again they only doing 50,000 so i guess ill wait. I fly with jetblue once a month so this card would benefit me big time..

Just a note that there’s no Instacart credit anymore. So if I’m not wrong the most in credits you can get next calendar year is 545, so almost breaking even of the annual fee (it of course depends on your annual fee date)

When I travelled with Cathay from hong inning to New York the plane was in 3-3-3 config in 2018 now it’s 3-4-3 it’s such a bad thing and the prices now I think are maybe little bit more expensive than before.

Rarely any of the major cities have category 4 hotels or lower in desirable areas. Based on this, the certificates aren’t worth it unless in random 1 off scenarios like you mentioned lol. I’m most likely going with the CSP offer instead.

I just got it 3 months ago with the 80,000 point promo. The points just got added yesterday so i know have 83,000 points. I took a jetblue vacation package to Paris in Feb this year and the experience was so seemless i have decided to do it again next Feb but this time i am going to get a massive $800 discount thanks to this jetblue plus card. Love jetblue and i am counting the days to get on my next jetblue flight to Paris.

What happened with your flights that you got stuck in Economy? Could you not have booked an alternative Premium Econ or Business?

The advantage to the fly the North American airlines is when you hear the crew speaking 🔊 English its understandable in the most of the time ⏲️.

I find that the main advantage of this card over others is that it awards spending on the card beyond 15K. You can get free nights, club access, extra points, suite upgrades, etc. Other cards require actual nights stayed for similar privileges.
