Unlocking Inquiry: Dr. David Thorstad’s Guide to Boundless Thinking
Herbert Simon emphasized the shift in bounded rationality from substantive to procedural rationality. Substantive rationality focuses on what we should prefer or believe, while procedural rationality examines how we determine those preferences or beliefs. Simon argued that the key task for bounded rationality theories is to develop a framework for rational inquiry under constraints. "Inquiry Under Bounds" builds on this by proposing a five-point bounded rationality program rooted in cognitive science. Dr. David Thorstad advocates for a reason-responsiveness consequentialist approach, clarifying and defending core insights of bounded rationality and addressing recent epistemological debate...

Exploring Life’s Big Questions The Infinite Staircase with Dr. Geoffrey Moore
Excellent podcast and extremely insightful!
Great insights! Thanks for sharing. I love the core idea of organizational agility that Dr Neha shares at around 4 minutes in. I'll be thinking about this for a few weeks.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on Dr. Neha Chatwani's impactful message.
Climate change is real, AGW is not. The AGW hypothesis failed the predictions test too many times to count, and the now discredited supposition was never proven with physical theory, real-world unadjusted data, and long-term observable evidence. After 50 years of failed forecasting, ethics scandals, data tampering, censorship, and bullying, we know the AGW computer scientists and their benefactors and beneficiaries in media, academics, politics, institutions, corporations, and NGOs lied to us - just like their counterparts in the medical field did during the ‘safe and effective’ years. The phrase ‘Follow the money’ is a worn-out cliché for a reason. THERE WILL BE DISASTROUS CONSEQUENCES FOR THE POOR, PEOPLE WORLDWIDE, FUTURE GENERATIONS AND THE WEST IF FOSSIL FUELS, CO2 AND OTHER GHG EMISSIONS ARE REDUCED TO “NET ZERO” + CO2 is Essential to Our Food, and Thus to Life on Earth + More CO2, Including CO2 from Fossil Fuels, Produces More Food. + More CO2 Increases Food in Drought-Stricken Areas. + Greenhouse Gases Prevent Us from Freezing to Death + There are Enormous Social Benefits of Fossil Fuels + “Net Zeroing” Fossil Fuels Will Cause Massive Human Starvation by Eliminating Nitrogen Fertilizer + The IPCC Is Government Controlled and Thus Only Issues Government Opinions, Not Science SCIENCE DEMONSTRATES FOSSIL FUELS, CO2 AND OTHER GHGs WILL NOT CAUSE CATASTROPHIC GLOBAL WARMING AND EXTREME WEATHER + Reliable Science is Based on Validating Theoretical Predictions With Observations, Not Consensus, Peer - Review, Government Opinion or Cherry-Picked or Falsified Data + The Models Predicting Catastrophic Warming and Extreme Weather Fail the Key Scientific Test: They Do Not Work, and Would Never Be Used in Science. + 600 Million Years of CO2 and Temperature Data Contradict the Theory That High Levels of CO2 Will Cause Catastrophic Global Warming. + Atmospheric CO2 Is Now “Heavily Saturated,” Which in Physics Means More CO2 Will Have Little Warming Effect. + The Theory Extreme Weather is Caused by Fossil Fuels, CO2 and Other GHGs is Contradicted by the Scientific Method and Thus is Scientifically Invalid
