The final event of the year on the military ranges of Epynt, the Mewla Rally. Rain, strong winds and lots of sheep droppings made the stages slippery but that didnt stop the drivers putting on a very comitted, high-speed display. Malcolm 'Tar' Jones held off numerous four wheel drive Rally2 cars to win in his Darrian T90 GTR.

Nice video and actually much better than the 'real life' experience !!. Spectators were miles away from much of the action, with limited viewing & no comms so no-one had any idea what was happening. A very average spectator experience 😢
You're right, it's got more and more frustrating watching stage rallying ovr the years. You could access quite a lot of the infield sections there less than 10 years ago but every year it seems a little more access gets sliced away and now everyone is miles away from anything. I think it will be the death of rallying if things keep on going this way, with health and safety taking priority over everything. The next generation are not going to get the thrilling experience of seeing these cars up-close, nothing is going to spark that passion for the sport.

Used to go there with my dad , my step uncle used to race up there back in the day , it's a great day out , he later went on to be on the committee for shelshley Walsh hill climb.

Left the hill about 15 minutes before this happened. From this vid, looks like something gave way under the car as he went past crossing as that was a lot more sparks than usual! Just glad Matt's ok and was able to walk away!
