    • @PianoRogues
      @PianoRogues Год назад

      If you are already an experienced woodwind player, I don't think there is any reason for you not to start with a double or even a triple! The hardest thing about using a multi-chambered ocarina is switching from chamber to chamber smoothly. Sometimes you have to adjust your breath for intonation reasons from chamber to chamber, or even note to note. When someone has never played an instrument before, and is just starting to learn music making skills, that is just one more layer of difficulty. But I think someone who has played the clarinet for 7 years will be fine on a double, and will find it more fulfilling because of the greater range. :)

      Ooo! That's exciting!! We actually have a video about plastic vs. ceramic beginner ocarinas on the less expensive range for people who are just starting out! But with a budget of $200 you can probably get yourself something fairly nice! Purple clay does tend to be a wee bit more expensive, though... For about $270 you can get yourself a purple clay double chamber from STL Ocarina, which would give you a bigger range of notes. About $160 will get you a purple clay single chamber 12-hole ocarina in C major. Their purple clay ocarinas have the nicest sound quality available from their store. So if you know you're going to be really serious about learning to play, you may want to go straight for purple clay! That way, your video ends, and then you just have an outro (possibly with music) that has a screen designed to have those displayed on it. @@PianoRogues yeah! I'm getting the MaxRange Double soon, and that is one note shy of a normal triple chamber. They look beautiful too. I might even get the Max Range Bass Triple, just cause i love basses. And having started out on viola, that bass could play most of my viola music.

      Awesome! We would love to see pictures when you get your new ocarina! We have a discord, and you're very welcome to share there. 😊 We don't get a ton of chat activity there (yet) but there are occasional music meme drops and Aire likes to share stills from videos she is working on. ....usually of me caught making a particularly awkward face....... On second thought, maybe don't join the discord. (Just kidding, we'd love to have you there!) The link is in our video descriptions! ~Alair

    Still loving these videos. Maybe to help the final score a bit you could weigh everything differently. Maybe do scores like visual appeal out of 5 and then do tone quality and such out of 20 (your using .5s anyway).

      That is an idea I think we should consider!!! I will consult with Aire! Thank you for the suggestion :D ~BardAlair

    As a beginner pianist i really think that learning a piece under like 1hour is hard and i have no one to teach me piano cuz Our family mainly focus on guitar and im the only one really wanting to learn piano! Loved it!! I really think you both will be good content creators!

      Unless it is a simple piece learning almost any piece in an hour is impossible. :) many pieces even for professionals take months to be performance ready. That is a challenge for us trying to get more of our performance videos out. Great thing about music you can take what you learn on different instruments and apply them to others. There are lots of resources available on the Internet to get you started learning the piano. If you can afford it a teacher is always great and usually helpful at some point in the process. Good luck in your studies. Thanks. Glad you enjoyed our video. Hope to see your comments on our other videos. :) -Aire
