As others have said, very informative star class info, as most yt videos are outdated. Me and some friends are heading out on Utopia in the 2bdr aquatheater suite in October. We are quite the let loose and party crowd. I know the you can get breakfast brought to your room in the mornings, but by chance will they be able to set you up with items to make mimosas also? Side note, first I’ve heard about no limits on places like playmakers and Izumi. That is friggin awesome news. It broke my heart when they said you could only do 1 specialty place once a day. So we can get all the sushi we want? One of my guests, first time cruiser at that, has talked about how much sushi he’s gonna eat, and I didn’t have the heart to tell him about the daily limit. Great video.

I try to do my boosters a month before I sail and I wear masks at theaters and on buses. For every one person that wears a mask when they know they are sick, there are 50 who will know they are sick and won't wear a mask or at least semi isolate themselves.

Sorry you are sick. Just had friends get off a 2 week cruise with sore throats. This was on the day they got off the ship. Positive for covid. Here they are 6 weeks later still sick and going to the doctor. Wow, can't believe they let your wife still walk around. Just because she wasn't positive then, she could still have gotten covid from you and shared it around. Ships are giant petri dishes. Not going on a cruise. I wonder how many other people had it on your cruise or once they went home after the cruise. Oh, no just heard the end of your video about others with covid on your ship. That's as perfect as perfect can be. Who couldn't love to be in that space, particularly for a long sea voyage. Did you find that you spent a lot of time here, when there is so much to do and experience on the rest of the ship?

Total respect for having that discipline to work on a cruise ship where so many good, fun things can pull you away from screens and keyboards. Have never seen that portable monitor before.....interesting 🤔

Carnival's service has gone down hill all around. We were on the Mardi Gras and it was lacking. I felt bad for the servers...They are overworked with less and less servers per table and staterooms. I am not sure if it is because they don't have the ratio on the bigger ships. I used to love their service.

Ben and Jerry’s unfortunately is getting phased out of all ships on RC

Even with good designs, people suck at the buffet and cut in front of people, especially old ladies and people who claim they don't speak English. I avoid the buffet like the plague, because it is a plague of disease and bad manners. I have seen people sneeze on the food, use there hands to pick up food and even seen people put food BACK. In my opinion, cruise directors are over-rated. I was just on an MSC cruise ship where the cruise director would get on stage and say, "HI, thanks for coming to the "name of the show", enjoy" and get off the stage... at first I was like, wow, she sucks, then I was like, hey, this is GREAT, I like just getting right to the show rather than hearing someone trying to be a standup comic for a 5-10 minutes and delay the show. Then after the show, she was very to the point on the main party happening that night, when and where. She is now my favorite cruise director, I found less was better. Going next month, hopefully they have the service and organization bugs worked out... thanks for the video

When you sail on an inaugural cruise, there are bound to be many bumps in the road. We need to manage our expectations…..It takes time to resolve the issues. If something is missing from the cabin, just let the steward know. These days all industries are understaffed, including cruise lines.

I should have listened all the way through before commenting. Regarding the internet, that is always an issue no matter what cruise ship you're on. As far as expecting an entree to come out the same time as an appetizer is not going to happen. You obviously have not been in the food industry nor have you toured the cruise ship kitchens. Yes, kitchens. Plates come from different areas. and it's very streamlined. This is "organization" which you claim to be a fan of. See my drinks with dinner comment in prior post below. And as far as 2 shows starting only 30 min apart....are you sure??? They usually post when the doors open for a show (approx 30 min prior) and then the actual show time. Yes, it can be a little confusing but in the last year with 5 Carnival cruises under our belt, that's what we've found. Sorry if it sounds like I'm being mean, I'm not. I know these are your opinions but sometimes it's good to know all the facts before you give an opinion. Overall, I did enjoy your review. And educating everyone with regards to the elevator system was great. We've sailed with this system before and absolutely loved it. Thanks again for taking your time with this review. We sail on her in 5 weeks!!!!

As stated in another comment below, it's not the room stewards' fault. Yes, Carnival has gone to once a day service. Though it may sound like they're jobs got easier but that isn't the case. They have cut down on staffing in every single area on the ship. So the room stewards are doing way more than they've done in the past. Also, don't be in a hurry if you order a bottle of wine with dinner. They've done away with the Sommeliers so it's up to the servers/bussers to get your wine. And don't bother asking them any questions about the wine because they don't have a clue! One of my pet peeves. Thanks for the pros & cons.
