it is a similiar fit in my opinion, the L is a little more comfortable on me and allows for some layering

I'd possibly try go up to a 3Xl in all honesty, they do come up very small!

@@michaelstewartmenswear2397 on my personal experience I can testify, International trials slim ,which sizes arein accordance to international chart from S to XXL run half a size smaller/the overall cut is slimmer

The heritage liddesdale is a little slimmer and shorter than the usual Liddesdale

La liddesdale clásica (liddesdale a secas) es algo mas larga y no es entallada en el cuerpo, y la pana del cuello es mas robusta, mas ancha. Mientras que esta es mas ajustada y algo mas corta, en mi opinión la clásica es más bonita, ahora se tiende a llevar todo muy corto y ajustado, a mi personalmente no me gusta. Te recomiendo la normal si eres alto y tienes cuerpo, te quedará mejor. Si eres delgadillo y te gustan las chaquetas ajustadas cogete la heritage.

Hi James, do you find the hood and liner option a good choice or not, I am thinking of getting a hood for my one year old Ashby and wondered if the colour (brown) will match ok. Thanks.

@@colinpeters3809 I think Barbour should give the choice of being able to buy the entire ensemble altogether or in parts. The hood component feels like different material and the inner lining is grey not red which is a bit odd but it is unnoticeable - the lining which I bought is also black and like the hood the inner tartan is grey so then you have the red tartan inner of the jacket and grey sections of tartan which is fine it doesn’t bother me but it might for some people. The body of the jacket fits flush to your torso, but you lose the use of the inner pocket of the jacket- given the price of the liner I had hoped to have had inner pockets sewn in to it. It is marginally warmer with the liner but you still need to wear a layer to keep your arms warm in the sleeves. The value of jacket increases to £300.00 with the hood and liner. I like Barbour so I dont mind spending the money but some people wont like the clash of colours with the inner tartan, the loss of the inner pocket on the outer jacket and the contrasting material of the hood.

Certainly is a slim fit. We always so ignore the label and go by how it fits

Totally agree, I'm usually a medium to large depending on the fit and sizing but with this I had to get a XL, I'd hate to think what a small or extra small would be like in these, they must be child size!

Go for the same size, they are sized to fit with the corresponding liner as with all jackets in this range. I wear a M Ashby and wear the M liner in winter also

It'd be 1-2 inches bigger across the pit to pit. Some people find Sergio slim fitting and will size up one

A previous poster (uberwagerbond4077) seems to have much the same problems as me. I strongly suggest that using terms like "heritage" and "iconic" will not overcome poor quality control. It is a shame - for me - to see this happening to Barbour.

checkout the new collection online, some lovely more subtle pieces, that is certainly how we buy it in!

a 32 is an XXS for our sizing of this, we usually assign a small to a 36=S, 38=M, 40=L and so on

It's a poly lining with a diamond quilt. as @iskillcorn1 said you can see this at 3:34!

Both have a same level of padding and warmth. Corbridge M would be a great fit!

I just bought a Corbridge over a Sapper having pondered both. The deciding factor for me was the way I can slide my hands behind the hip pockets from the side on a cold day, which is an excellent extra cubby-hole. The Corbridge is a fractionally slimmer fit too. Mine's in the rust colour. It's such a handsome coat.
