What I love about this scene is the audacity of the scheme, its execution and apparent success. When you first see it you genuinely believe Goldfinger has the upper hand, as Ft Knox is gassed into submission, the gate is blown and the vault access lasered, all with professional precision. As a viewer you are in a state of awe that such a thing could be accomplished and only when you see Felix's face do you, for just a moment, think something isn't as it should be. The music, in particular, is inspired, some of Barry's best.

I once heard John Barry call his Bond music ‘trash’. He was prouder of Out of Africa. But that’s an artist, never satisfied. I guess here he was copying big bands like Basie and Ellington but he did it immaculately and added his own chords and moods. I’d say he was as much the soundtrack to the 60s as The Beatles

When you drop by, you see the pool scene from up above all laid out. I was just in Miami for the day and night, staying at a great set up in Ft. Lauderdale. As soon as I saw this, I walked in and got a room.for the night. Shot lots of high res digital video right after the Canon 5D Mark II had come out. Added a cruise to the Bahamas too. And our of season too. No crowds..When? The two weeks before Christmas.

Such a short scene, but Batman went from 0:02 so self-confident in saving Vicki and stopping Joker, 0:38 surprised somebody would dare jumping on him, 1:45 running out of ideas how to beat the Joker's big goon, 1:55 worry and fear about losing the fight, 2:04 surrender and resignation. What a fitting classy sound track, and the shooting of this finishing with the diver into the pool is sensational and i think a first. John Barry genius!

Great song from the soundtrack of a great movie Goldfinger, the only thing that's sad about it is that it is too short I wish I could hear more of it. If you got to grow up in the 50's through the 80's in the golden era that will never be repeated with all the classic movies & music, YOU were blessed.

After crashing in the batwing, climbing the stairs of the cathedral, Batman hurries up to save Vicki and apprehend Joker... In the belfry he meets Joker's strongest goons. Batman's got a special weapon to incapacitate the first one (RIP balls :D) The second one has a daring plan to jump on Batman but falls just short of bringing him down (adios, Lawrence). What to say about the third one? The strongest opponent Batman had to fight in the first three movies: big, tall, skilled, unafraid, motivated to bring Batman down. Batman's clearly the underdog in this fight: getting surprised from behind, tossed through the wooden wall, he tries to kick the black goon (his signature move in this movie), but he soon sees he's physically not a match for him. For a while all he can do is evade and hide. For the people who argue Batman lures the big black goon into a trap: I know the movie makers want us to believe that, but... getting thrown into the stairs, getting headlocked, getting punched in the body, face and balls, then kicked in the face and thrown into the bell floor hole seems like A REALLY BAD PLAN :) We know Batman's gonna win in the end (since the movie is called Batman :D), but you gotta admit... he was wearing a lot of plot armor here :) I love this scene

The soldiers fell down so nicely! Of course they had to keep Bond alive, and bring him along for the trip!
