That‘s an interesting question. I think the whole technical stuff is just there to make our musical ideas possible. And obviously you‘d want to compare plug ins to see what fits your workflow best to turn your imagination into a musical piece. I guess as technology progresses, there are just more and more ways to make music and create sounds. It‘s definitely worth exploring them and going into detail on a few. Of course, music is still the main priority. But those are just my thoughts.

True, I could compare it to Pigments as well. Do you use Pigments? I often use Pigments for quick inspiration with its presets.

@@musicbybenedict Yup, Pigments has some sweet presets. I mostly use it because it has the most intuitive and beautiful GUI out of all of them.

You have the option to buy it for 25€ or 80€. Depends on what you need, you‘ll have to look on their website for that. But I‘d start with the free version. I too only have the free version and it‘s still the full synth with all features.

Yes you can remove noise in edison. But I think this algorithm is a bit better imo. I‘m also not aware if edison has a dereverb option. Or does it?

That sounds very swung to me. And then you could drag your midi a bit to get the laid back feel. Or you bounce the audio abd drag it just a bit to the right until it gets that feel. What would help a lot I think is to just try to recreate tracks like these you like as best as you can and learn.

I try to keep everything in Serum and Vital to compare them fairly. But it‘s true you can get it really similar with more plug ins on them.
