Hi I have lines on mine after doing this

DJ Johnson! you're a genius. I tried the tape trick and got picture back on the TV, but i'm getting lines across the panel. What part needs to be replaced in order to make the TV function properly? I'm going to try and narrow down the exact pin to see if it gets a clear picture, but ideally would like to permanently fix the issue

Thank you for a great video! I was able to replace the screen on my son's Switch...but when I turned it on, the screen did not light up. If I pressed it, it was responding to touches because I could hear the feedback sounds. Any idea what else may need replacing?

DJ, I got ahold of the same TV, went through your steps. The fix worked, except I can’t get the “reds” right, and it’s driving me nuts. Would replacing the the display panel boards on the bottom provide a permanent fix? I’d love to be able to use the TV, but when your favorite NFL team’s colors are Red, this just isn’t cutting it for me. Thanks for all the info you’ve shared.

What would you do if the issue was with the other half of the screen where there aren't the pins to cover up with this model?

My 11 year old 32" Samsung TV screen went dark today (like it's night time and hardly can make out the TV show characters) but did not go completely out. Is it maybe a video card? I guess with my TV 11 years old I should replace the TV or can it be fixed inexpensively? I unplugged it and back in didn't fix it.

I'm curious to see what you think about my issue: I have a Samsung 75 inch LCD (circa 2019) model television. Not sure if you know the answer to this (or anybody watching) but my symptoms are that when you go to turn it on, the (Samsung) logo comes on solid at first… and then these horizontal lines develop (which chops up and dims the picture a bit)... and then the TV shuts off and goes through that cycle again. (And again) for a while… But it does finally turn on within 15 minutes and works fine. Usually for 10 minutes + it reboots, over and over again. When it's just about to turn on and work (which it does usually in less than 15 minutes of letting it cycle like this) it finally gets past the logo and you start to see the main MENU screen, etc. and then the horizontal lines develop and then it shuts off ... and restarts and then FINALLY, it comes on for a few seconds (with the sound of whatever the TV show is that's playing or whatever) then, it usually goes through one more cycle... and then it stays on (and works perfectly, from that point on (until you turn the TV off again). I'm wondering if that's a power board issue (rather than a main board issue, or?). According to the seller who sold it to me, It did start occurring, just after a lightning storm. Do you think replacing the whole power board would do the trick in fixing it? Short of that, is there a particular part (or two) on the power board that would usually be the culprit that I could replace for a lot less money than replacing the whole power board? Even if I have to pay about 125 bucks for a new pwr board, I think it would be worth it. (It's a great TV once it stays on). Thanks!

I have Samsung TU7000 58” and it keeps rebooting. It starts up shows the Tizen smart tv. Then in few seconds it shuts off and starts again. Keep doing it. What could be wrong with it?

I have the same TV and I found it near a dumpster. I fixed it with tape and it lasted about a year on and off. But it’s finally done. No good!!

Why not replace the panel itself?

Hi, I have this same TV. The LED comes on and goes off, and respeats every second. I can hear a clicking sound from the power board. Please advise. Paul

ON A 50 INCH SHARP LC MODEL TV CAN THE RIBBON TAPE SUPPLYING THE LEDS BE REPLACED I HAVE ONE THAT RIGHT IN MIDDLE OF BOTTOM CENTER IT WAS STRUCK BY AN OBJECT ON SOME KIND AND CRACKED THE BEZEL SLIGHTLY BUT WAS ENOUGH TO PUSH THE SUPPLY RIBBON IN AND MADE IT SHORT AGAINST THE INSIDE METAL CASING TO SHORT OUT THE RIBBON TAPE CLADE BURNING ABOUT 5 OF THESE HAIR SIZE COPPER TRACING TO BURN INTO LEAVING A LITTLE BURNT PLACE AT EACH HAIR SIZE COOPER CLAD WIRE ON THE RIBBON TAPE

You have a nice garden. I'm in Houston also and I am just now starting out with trying to grow my own veggies. Do you have any suggestions on what to fill the raised garden bed with? I've also tried to grow bell pepper last year but it wasn't successful. Any tips?

What does it mean if you put the tape on, but you still have the same issue with the tv just turning on anof off again? Would it be a ribbon or main board issue?

Every one of these Samsung's that had to snap on cover would developed this problem it would get a small pixel line in the picture and that's what causes the shutdown horrible panels the UN 70 un 55 58 and some 50s

I have the exact same TV model as this and when I get to the step at 6:00 it turns on but no sounds like yours. But I replaced both the main board and the power board with new ones and it isn’t fixed either

What if led just flash when you plug in

soooo if you disconnect both ribbon cables to the panel and nothing changes in behavior, i.e. it keeps flashing on and off, does that imply your mainboard is bad?

What could the problem be if the TV only has really dimmed back lights? Everything else works but it is just extremely dimmed.

When I unplug the main port controller the led turns on but when I have them connected it no led turns on. Does that mean I have to replace that cable

I followed your instructions and identified that the right side of the tv is bad, but upon putting the tape it still is giving same issue, i used normal paper tape.
