And then people say Gear 5 was never foreshadowed. Even when Luffy ate the Devil Fruit, the next panel, Luffy comes into the village with his classic wide mouth smile. Nika was there from the start. Also, many of what Luffy’s moves do like Culverin, Gear 3 and its power, Kong Organ Gun, Hydra, Red Hawk, and Red Rock shouldn’t be possible given the nature of rubber.

I love Jin but this video made me realize his ears don't stay consistent. They're pointy throughout the fights but when he's a spectator, they're sometimes short and round. 🥲

I still love that someone decided that Jin should be Irish as all hell and It makes a ton of sense. Like, those who only watch subbed anime are missing out on absolute gems like this.

The best part about this is the fact that the joke is only in English dub!! 😂 Episode 65, when they’re escaping the arena, the original translation goes like this: Chu: “We can’t let the hero of the tournament get hurt in a place like this!” Jinn: “That’s right, you guys are our objectives now. We’re going to for sure put you away in the next tournament.” Yusuke: “*thumbs up* Yeah, let’s go at it again!” -English dubbed- Chu: “We can’t let our champion team get hurt now!” Jinn: “Right he is! When the tourney next around comes flying we’ll have to face you ourselves, and we’ll have new muscles on us and WHOO WEE you’ll go zipping and we’ll be the champions that one!.” Yusuke: “*thumbs up* Right, whatever he said.”

Fun fact about this. The voice actor, Jerry Jewell, stated in an interview that his original performance of Jin was too difficult to understand so they asked him to tone the accent down. What we got in the show was him toning it down. lol

Being Irish myself, I was super shocked to see an ACTUAL Irish person in an anime. I mean, I know in the Japanese version they probably depicted him as a local of one of their provinces or something, but whoever decided to cast an actual Irish person for his English VA really didn't hold back. I mean, even in the Fate series they don't get their accents in there, they just tell you they're from such-and-such nation and expect you to be perfectly okay with a normal "American" style of speech. Goofy....but that's why I miss when they used to cast people more creatively back then.
