The classic route "Hurenfurche" done LeadRopeSolo at the location Felsengarten Kentheim. My favorite crack climb there with a nice steep crack running all the way to the top roof. It's perfectly safe to protect the whole climb with cams. The first bolt is high, but the lower part good to protect as well. Also it's a fairly easy start. The bolts on the righthand side of the crack could be clippe...

Great video my friend! I assume your using a drone to follow for the far away shot? great idea! How long does the drone typically last in hover follow mode?
@@bobbystorc the drone is in tracking mode and I typically change the hight manually. 20 minutes I would guess.
@@rock_shot Thanks
How can I get backfeed stoppers?
3d-printing
Do you sell them? I’ve been looking for a solution to backfeed when soloing.
Hello, I really like your Channel. I saw ale videos, what do you have here. I am really enjoying to watch you soloing. Good job. I have question to the issue of the repetitive unlock failure. You solved it with a microtraxion with big cache loop if I see correct? You did it also with one big cache loop what you took from the start of the route in another video from you. Is it a better with microtraxion or comfortable instead of one big cache loop from the start of the route?
Thanks! I Always use the Micro traxion If I climb more then 15 Meters. If the route is easy, it is not a big deal to attach it at the middle of the climb. But it always takes some time.
@@rock_shot thank you for feedback. Did you fall from any LRS route? Or did you fall into FF2 in LRS?
@@Climbwithoutmistakes Test falls only. And falling before first bolt is a no-go off course, so yeah no ground falls and no ff2.
Where did you buy theses cable holder?
Thanks for your comment. I would recommend to use backup knots or don't fall. I would not rely on the Revo for 100% percent but for me it is good enough if chance of falling is very low.
You only have a primary device? the revo? The rest is for cache loop management correct? Revo modded?
Yes. After 20 meters a cache loop is a must have. Revo is modded.
Thanks bro. I have a Revo and havent used it yet. I'm using my Taz Lov2 so far. Sick climbs you have done BTW. On my setup I would like to use slip knots before my Kong duck which is on my gear loop and connected to my belay loop but I wonder if that would cause more harm than good? I guess if I mod my revo it will lock first and not rip my gear loop off on the first fall from the slip knots. It would only do that on a complete failure of the Revo. @@rock_shot
@@ClimbingOntario my revo 'eats' about one and a half Meter before it locks wenn falling right at the bolt. That depends on where you fall. Below or above the last draw. Falling above the last draw and the Revo would pull a lot less Rope through, right?
One and a half meters before lock is pretty good I think. The Taz will lock faster than a revo but you need to use a chest harness to keep it upright. If it isn't on a harness it can go between your legs in a fall and stay facing down and not lock. At any rate there is no perfect system. We do our safest with what we have. 👍@@rock_shot
Super 👍🏻 😊
It would be better to use the sport draws on the bolts, and the alpine draws on the cams.
I took the alpine draws on the first bolts, to save the sport draws with backfeed stopper for the last bolts when the weight of the rope starts to introduce unwanted slack. Otherwise I would have to use a cache loop right at the start
@@rock_shot That makes sense. I didn't notice the backfeed stopper on the sport draws until you pointed that out. I've been using the slipknot method to prevent slack.
What about just clip in both ropes?
climbing and pulling out slack would become super difficult because of the friction. Falling would pull the dead rope through the quick draw and rub against the life rope. Maybe the fall would be slowed down and the Revo would catch later than expected
How do you trust your life in that Revo is just crazy
I primarily trust in my climbing skills. The Revo is my backup
the Revo is not safe man
@@kangdanlin the best tool for a very specific use case with some drawbacks as other devices also have. Can you clarify your concerns?
That's creative thinking. It's those electric cable holders right?
yes. plastic only, no sharp edges
Dont you think you should tie another knot at the second bolt? Having no backup anchor is potentially fatal
There is already an implicit backup. If the first bolt fails, the knot and carabiner would stop at the second bolt with the attached quick link. If you are able to use both hands to tie a butterfly, this would be good as well. Don't simply tie a knot or a clove hitch that removes the force and rope stretch from the first bolt. You would end up with a potential factor two fall after the second bolt! This could be fatal as well.
What? If the top anchor failed you would fall to your death? It isn't even redundant on both anchors
No. The revo would catch at the next piece of protection.
@@rock_shothes asking bcuz your rapping off one hangar. If that failed, as you were even 1/4 of the way down from cleaning, youd deck
Sonne of the quickdraws face the wrong direction!
Sent it! Sweet!
Do you have a facebook account? I have a question for you but i need to post a photo... Thanks!

Got recommended one of your other videos and the seeing the stopper instantly loved the simplicity of it, so glad you have a tutorial on how you've made them, thanks so much for sharing!
Why did you only run the rope through one ring? I usually run through both for redundancy and it still pulls fine. No hate I know there are a million ways to do this just curious
It is redundant because the ground anchor and the Revo *should* catch if the top anchor would fail. There is nothing against using both, sometimes this is not possible if a lot of people climb there.
is yr revo modded? cool stuff by the way!
yes, one side.
quick links are great when solo! I even use one to attach the grigri on my harness
Alu biners can break!
@@rock_shot yup, this can happen easily
Excellent video
How are you keeping tension in your system?
DIY Backfeed stoppers.
Works, but I don't trust the Revo because you can't back up the attachment points and it also is less than desirable for rapping which means carrying a second device.
double rope, double Revo, double Attachment points.
Vielen dank fur lhre zeit
So the shots from behind are from a drone on tracking mode? what drone? really cool!
Mini 3 pro
Many thanks Form this helpful Video! Do you Not use Backup knots? Wouldnt this be much safer?
Please use backup knots, especially if you mod your Revo! I will switch to double rope, double revo system in the near future. More videos will follow!
Gracias por compartir!
I see you from Spain! Today I climb same you. I like to Much this style
You should make a video explaining how it works. Looks like you barely tried on the vid and I learned a shit ton. I’ve been looking stuff up for weeks.
blissclimbing.com is THE resource if you want to learn lead rope soloing.
do you print the “gromm hitch” yourself? i’ve reached out to the creator of the file with no response, thanks :)
I do not use the gromm hitch. Look at a video on my channel on how my backfeed stoppers are made!
Dude is rope soloing harder than I can follow
148 routes to put up here only for this single spot ^^ output has to increase a little bit :D
What if you attach a loose prusik knot with a biner on the dead rope that will slide close to the belay device each time you drag the rope in order to differentiate it from the life rope?
I don't want to slow my fall down in any way. The dead rope has to slide through the device without any friction or you need a backup.
While I'm scared enough already just leading, I'm gonna stick around to check out some anchors and maybe learn a trick or two. I saw you climbing a bolted crack in a yt short, are you American based?
Germany
Nice video. Too bad not too many people do it. If you're near St. Louis. Hmu.
Thanks, Germany ;)
How do you make your stunning camera placements? Is it a drone?
Yes. And thanks!
Bolts on a crack climb??
Yes, why not

I was super confused and then I saw it was rope soloing 🤦
will be more clear next time! thx.
Do you back up your system? What happens if that thing slips? You should have a system of knots or a traction device I would think for redundancy..also how did you fix the ropes being tangled, did you fix them?
Good question. You mean the Revo with the 'thing' right? If you 'plan' to fall you should have some sort of backup. Here the Revo is my Backup. I simply abseiled and started recording over again. This ist more an outtake.
this flake looks juicy
Yes but its crispy :D
You ever get the chance to play around with a Silent Partner? My buddy got a really good deal on one but it’s just been sitting in the gear closet…
Maybe I will get one.. but for now I looking forward to the redundant flow method from @andreastrunz2066 (Double Revo with halfrope)
