Join The Florida Antique Bucket Brigade
The Florida Antique Bucket Brigade or FABB as we call it, is a statewide group of firefighting Apparatus, tradition and history enthusiasts who love to get together and talk fire apparatus. Not only do we talk but many members own their own fire apparatus spanning in era from the early hand drawn days to fire apparatus that could still serve a small fire department today . We restore these items to parade, show, pump, and compete in many types of public activities each year. They have even appeared in major motion pictures. But our favorite activity is the Fire Muster which has become a celebration of firefighting, it's apparatus, history and tradition.

Suntree Brush Fire 03/26/2011

This is a brush fire that occurred Saturday, March 26, 2011, in the Suntree area of Central Florida, just north of Melbourne. People were ordered to evacuate their homes as the fire approached. About 40 acres were consumed by the fire. It was a windy afternoon and it rapidly spread, but damage was kept to a minimum, through the efforts of Brevard County Fire Rescue and Division of Forestry.

This is video of the Space Shuttle returning to the Kennedy Space Center, on the back of a 747. It was shot in December of 2008, from the beach at Patrick Air Force Base.
I was there that day 2 weeks ago I down a little farther in the parking lot of where the dunkin's and subway where you are currently standing is where I was last year right across the street in the parking lot there was a total of 80 trucks in that parade

@Brushhoppr Nope. none of the houses burned. This event could have been a lot worse and it was extremly close to some houses, but fire crews worked quickly to save this neighborhood. The black smoke was really thick brush.
WOW Were there houses that burnt as well? Looks like that real Black smoke around 3:40 was a house burning

I just wanted to check on this fire bc I saw it from the plane as we took off and it looked like Judgement day, seems like yesterday, so scary
