@@richardduiventil Yeah, therapist sleeping with their clients is the number one ethical violation that results in therapist losing their license. It happens way more than I was aware of after I did the research for this video.

@@TheChocolateTherapist Of course in real life this is a serious conflict of interest and indeed a breach of essential trust needed for the therapeutic relationship.

@@TheChocolateTherapist Thank you very much. The biggest issue are thought loops. Sometimes it's like I'm going completely insane, panicking, anxious, etc. And then on other days, it's completely fine. This I have absolutely no idea how to resolve. But I wish you the best of luck as well. One thing is for certain, my grandpa would want me to keep living, to continue his legacy. This is what he told me, and this is what I will do.

Put this on my to-do list! I did have the idea of doing a day in the life of a therapist video, that would cover a lot of the things you requested. My therapy approach is existential/trauma based. Irvin yalom is a huge influence, I also do EMDR, and am learning IFS therapy right now to use that.

It’s tricky, there’s a part of me that has compassion and understands why narcissist end up this way. And then there’s a part of me that knows that that compassion will be taken advantage of by narcissist.

Once you see it, you can’t unsee it

I’m rarely surprised about what I hear therapist say or do to their clients. This is wild tho. I’m all for therapist self-disclosure when it’s helpful, but this just confused you, and made you think your therapist had ulterior motives. At best this was your therapist trying to give you a very misguided helpful suggestion, at worst they were planting a seed and grooming you towards being open to the idea of come to their sex parties. There’s a huge delta in between those two options. Overall you need clarity, so you should (if you feel comfortable) talk to your therapist about it, if it’s effecting your relationship with them in anyway. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately the chances of a narcissists changing is very slim, you could give all the well meaning support in the world and it still wouldn’t be enough. Be careful, I respect your intentions and desire to support, but know that it can be used against with a true narcissists.

Listen to what it’s trying to say about how you’re living life, make some adjustments. You’re not alone in this, everyone will go through this at some point in their life. Mine was on my 30th birthday. Hope the video helped to give you some answers

I need more context to answer your question. It’s been a while since I watched this video so I’m not sure which part you disagree with?

@@TheChocolateTherapist I don’t disagree:) I was curious of how does the thearpist know it’s isn’t present and they have an emotional attachment instead of it being something from their past.

Sounds like you’re in a difficult relationship. Narcissists tend to only be capable of love when it’s serve their own greater good. They’re very transactional.

That’s psychology in a nutshell. Shining a light on very obvious things that doesn’t really surprise us once we actually learn it.

@@TheChocolateTherapist it's more about shining on grotesque in a society where we allegedly all have freedom and free speech but it is a stinky prison in real life for those who are not able to overcome the obvious stupidity. We all see the obvious, therapy supposed to help on weakness what most develop. And most of those people are not the ones with 2 x chromosomes in current society.

Everything you said truly resonated with me, and is something I went through, and continue to go through. I think the source of my own anxiety came when I really started to question the validity of my Christian beliefs. With that being questioned, the source of my comfort started to crumble. I’ve evolved to still being a Christian, but also striving to live the best life I possibly can, so I don’t regret how I lived on my deathbed. Phone the video was able to help is any kind of way.
