awesome, Thanks
Gracias !!!!!
so what about if the core has a RR, so all ABRs in the core network establish a BGP-LU session with the RR ?
Good explanation about site of origin concept..keep it up bro
Very informative and helped me understand AFI and SAFI
Will label be regenerated for IBGP on ABR ?
Nice !! It completes LDP in 10 minutes.
Your example is wrong. Seamless MPLS can be used only with OSPF, not with ISIS. I can explain. The ISIS connection between R3(P) and R4(ABS) is Level 2 connection, because only Level 2 connection could be used with 2 different areas. That means that R3 is L1/L2 router, so he KNOW the path to 9.9.9.9 without BGP. And you will run LDP only within each IGP domain there woulnd be a LSP from R1 to R4 (i mean, if you use ISIS).
Hey! The trick is that you run different ISIS processes in each IGP domain, not different areas/levels. You don't redistribute between the processes so you don't leak prefixes between the IGP domains.
Nice video , but if you want to do lsp between 2 ospf areas you can do the command - interdomain, and it will do a stitching lsp at the ABR
Beatifull explanation !
I wonder , how SR MPLS can resolve the same situation , have you any other video when you explain this , whit SR mpls ? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for sharing, are these task lists available for downloading? 😊
good work !!
This was excellent thank you. 👍
Amazing video!!
I'm thinking about building an R9 7950x(or a Intel equivalent because there`s some problem with xrv9k and AMD) with 192gb of RAM for JNCIE and CCIE studies. Is 192GB enough? Of course, I`ll eventually use the PC to other activities like rendering and gaming. By the way, your content is incredible! I will buy the topology and the SR/EVPN MPLS package for sure! Unfortunately, the Service Provider course is not that attractive to Cisco, so there is a huge lack of study materials. Content like yours really saves us!
Hey! Here's my 2 cents: - AMD and nested virtualization doesn't go well; I never used AMD processors, but I've read on forums about some issues people had - containerized labs are becoming really popular; containerlab.dev/ is such a platform with support for lots of vendors while XRd can be deployed on a 20.04 Ubuntu - XRd's require 1CPU and 2GB RAM and have the same features; I have deployed it in my lab, I will make a video soon about this - Juniper cRPD (can do basic IP/MPLS routing on it) requires 1CPU and 256MB (RAM increase is depended on FIB scale, you can have 32k routes for this amount of RAM) So considering these, I think labs will require far less resources in the near future and I wouldn't invest too much if you plan on doing only routing. Of course the situation changes for Security/DC labs.
@@ping-factory Thank you very much!
Q: will you provide similar video guide for SR cfg? I like the way how you show and explain the matters. Only valuable things, no rubbish.
to let others know also, I have a course on SR on Udemy
@@ping-factory got them!
#excellent piece of knowledge
Good stuff
Glad you enjoyed
Great Explanation, request you to upload more on VXLAN, Data Center
yes, that's in plan also
You explain very well bro...thanks
Glad it helped
Hi, Is a HP Laptop i7, with 64GB Ram, 1TB Hardrive and 16 Core, sufficient for practising CCIE SP Labs??
You can run labs with the XRv, but not with the XRv 9000. Your bottle neck, I'd say, is the CPU. Check here how much resources they need: rc.cloudmylab.com/vendor/Cisco
@@ping-factory Understood. XRv will work or We also need XRV 9000?
@@dopzbw8533 now with CCIE SP 5.1 there might be some features that are supported on XRv 9k and not on XRv, I don't know for sure anymore. For CCIE SP 5.0 XRv was enough. Also it is good to play with the version they use in the lab to see if you hit any bugs so that they don't take you by surprise. What I've done was lab on my own PC with lower specs and then, 3 months before the exam I rented a bare metal server with 256GB RAM and 24 physical CPU's from gthost.com.
@@ping-factory Ok. Thanks
Thank you so much for the valueable information sir! Much appreciated!
My pleasure!
Thanks , very good job and very clear explanation ❤
You are welcome!
Great content, keep it up man, your a beast!
Thanks man!
Great Video! Learnt a lot.
Thanks man! It's the same English, though, you know :D
unintelligible. Can't understand what instructor is saying.
Then don't watch it, lol.
Useless... Can't see $h!t in that cli terminal.
Then don't watch it, lol.
Very interesting!
Thanks!
RSVP-TE remained a mystery for me until I saw this video.. Thanks for the simple and detailed explanation
That's the whole purpose of these videos, thanks!
I'm getting ready for the JNCIE-SP and I find these videos very useful to review information. Thanks!
Thanks man! Good luck with the exam, the fact that you can take the lab exam from home is genius.
I have just stopped the video in between to tell you that your videos and explanation is wonderful. Dont stop making videos in any case. Suggestion - please improve English language tone otherwise enable caption or hire english speaking, if u want i can help you with that.
Thanks man. I hope that my English will get better with time.
His English is fine. Doesn't interfere with my ability to understand at all.
English is fine.
Awesome Explanation
Thanks a lot! More awesome explanations are on their way!
Instant like without looking
Thanks, man! I hope that eventually you watched it and enjoyed.
Thankyou well explained, please also make a video on BGP-LU as u mentioned.
Thanks! BGP-LU is in plan, yes.
Thank you so much, it is one of the best and the most clear explanation of Seamless MPLS
Glad you think so!
Thank you for your difficult work. I have a question - does the scheme provide for the possibility of direct communication between regions? As a protection route, for example. Thank you.
Sure, you could have a router that runs both regions processes. It would then run BGP-LU and forward the BGP-LU advertisement from 1 PE to the other. Quite hard to explain just in writing :) Anyway, this wouldn't scale also. Big SP's have like tens of regions, directly connecting each region to each other is almost impossible.
Hello. In the Alcatel-Lucent Versatile Routing and Services with BGP book by Bookham, mentions that there shouldn't be direct communication between aggregation regions, instead it should go through the core.
@@felixruiztorrez5192 yes, this is correct. This is how it should be done in real world networks, but in the lab you can do anything you wish. And what I was saying before was that we could have direct communication between regions. It would work from a protocol perspective, but it beats the whole purpose of segmentation per regions.
Very knowledgeable lecture 👌
thanks! happy you enjoyed it.
Thanks for the valuable information and am happy that I stumbled upon your channel. Please keep putting out more content
Thank you! Will do!
Thanks a lot for the content, so far in the 3rd video but it is great stuff. do you have plain topology with only IP addresses configured .?
Hey! Did you check this file: Ping Factory - CCNP CCIE SP mock lab.zip?
Thank you very much! Great explanation
Thanks!
Thank you! Which IOS XRv version have you used?
Hey! XRv 6.6.3 s.go.ro/e2m2n7b3
keep up the good work man, that's rare to see SP content with such good explanation.
Thanks a lot, and stay tuned for more surprises :)
Hi is there a minimum server hardware requirement to build the lab topology?
The topology consists of 24 XRv nodes and 11 L3 vIOS nodes. If you check the link below it says you need 35 vCPU and 85 GB RAM, but I think the real usage is below half. cloudmylab.com/rsrc/eve-ng-com/index.html Also, you could just turn on only 1 AS at a time and work on it and not all at the same time and that would save a lot of resources. Enjoy!
i dont know what to say, but this is very nice video and explanation thank you very much for such a good explanation and efforts
you didn't know what to say, but I like what you said :D
I’m glad I have found your channel, good content!
thanks for the kind words!
Thank you

Well explained thanks 😊
enjoy my friend
What did you think about the Leanpub workbook? I’m about to buy it?
It's very good, my friend. It really covers most of the topics and you'll find there precious information.
Thanks for the video!
have fun labbing!
