Advice for anyone who does this: done ever pour it out around edge like this, it will prematurely crack and leak. You want to go up the pipe and let it drain down creating a small slope. It also works better if you use painters tape on the tpo and overfill an ⅛"-¼". BUT NEVER leave it flush at the pipe or below the lip like this

I install TPO membrane as swimming pool liner. The pools looks awesome.

Sad JM still refuses to make pre fabricated corners so you don't have to strech the material and make it a weak point. 80% of EPDM leaks are always the corners.

Where is the water cut off at top of the curb ? Not to mention your patch at side lap of curb. If you we're to 45° cut at side lap your corner would have covered it. Kinda crazy ! Little more time in the field needed .

is there any possibility of wind-up lift since there are no screws and washer to hold the TPO in place?

Joe, you have to put some glue at the transition and over the fastners to lessen any future bridging. Good job on the video.

The ambient temperature dictates the weld. If it is 44 degrees in the morning and then gets to 60 degrees at noon the weld setting needs to be adjusted from the 44 degree weld setting. Tighten up guys.

The heatgun noozle needs to go further into the lap to create an air dam which would be called a secondary weld. The primary weld is the outside inch and a half weld. I also turn the heat gun noozle in the opposite direction when welding down a seam because its easier to push the bleed out or bead from the top seam.

Seems like a lot more work compared to the two ply hot system.

You need a float and when you bang down a he lead try a one foot piece of 2x4 underneath your mallet , does a much nicer job

Biggest issue with this Roof system is that on a big project like this if the crew lays out 200 sq of roofing and only rhino bond 120 sq that day over the night there’s is going to be water dew between the metal rhino bond plate and membrane this will cause vapor buildup in between the membrane and metal plate causing it to have a bad weld. Main point is that at every 200 sq there’s going to be 80 sq of bad rhino bond welds and that’s what holds the roof down 😱
