Hi all, with the recent rain, the water level has gone up crazy! we managed some stragglers out there, but it is a grind. There is a lot of mosquitoes as well, do prepare yourself bug repellent. 1/6 or 1/4 sized rooster tail is perfect for these conditions.

Hi all, this is the end of the spawn. It's going to be tough from here on out. We got them 1/8-3/4 fire tiger or white bucktails. Mimic and rooster tails help as well.

Hi all, after some running around we found the spawning site. There were so many white bass there to breed. We used firetiger mimic, chartreuse bucktails, minnows, and rooster tails.

Hi all, we went to check out the stream and man was it stacked. These trout are hungry! White rooster tail size 1/8 and salmon eggs was the key. Go get them y'all!

Hi all, we ventured to the notorious pottery lake and man was it hard to get a limit. nonetheless we all had fun and caught fish. They were biting on wax worms, minnows, and powerbait.

Hi all, this is the earliest I have fished for white bass. We were using blade baits and bucktail flies on the wold rig for the white bass. This is a great warm up for wheaton and devils lake coming up this season. It's a blast. Go get them!

You went there for whitebass? Not worth it
Well, I got two days all to myself, some new waders, and bought more rooster tails. Think I am going to go down to the Vermillion River this Friday and Saturday, and catch myself some more rainbow trout. Because the Vermillion River seems to be the most consistent trout fishing spot when it comes to rainbow trout. I went down to Quarry Lake Park in Shakopee last weekend, in the hopes of catching some rainbow trouts, but I only caught bluegills instead.
@@henriray1440 I prefer stream during open water. I only do lake fishing trout for ice fishing. Good luck out there, bring mosquito spray

That’s the only way I use to go join the big crowd cuz that’s where all the fishes are in there….
Way to go, that is fish whacking at it's best, Devils don't disappoint. Glad you figured them out, post spawn they roam very often. Use the Navionics chart viewer to find those drop offs and flats, you will clock them all day. Always wonder how one spot catches more than others, there are more spots like that just have to do your homework. Your doing great, them are some tasty fish, fry or soup it up! I was there on business in Grand Forks, the white guys I know that fish that lake do not eat them, they only go for wallys.

There’s a gas station called Arco just past the rest area heading into devils lake or if you’re in devils lake, you can go to Ed’s bait shop

I’ve fished all spots you been. Good Thing I release my catch so you can take them with you. You don’t keep fish from these rivers. Full of toxins. Over all good video.

No freezer limit at home for North Dakota but 20 per day and only 40 for 2+ days (2days-1week you can only keep 40 total). Unless you come home and go back next couple of days

Nostalgia. I used to live in Des Moines Iowa over 30 years ago. Fished at Red Rock a few times. Loots like a lot has changed now. Great fishing spot... when fish bites. Do they still allow people to fish on the other side of the dam? One time, no fish on the lower side so we climbed up the hill, crossed the highway to the other side and fished right at where the water drains down and caught so many if was difficult getting the fish back down the hill. I still remembered catching one up there that's so big it broke my line in 3 seconds... was thinking could be a striped bass because those can get really big.
I haven’t never fished the backside of the dam. I’m not sure. I’ve only fished the spillway side. Lots of big fish in there like flathead catfish, buffalos, and Asian carp

I enjoy seeing the young guys seeking and destroy. Hint for eyes, they are usually schooled right pass the corners on bridges. For every bridge, one corner will hit. Usually starts to hit 1 to 1.5hrs before dark. I chase the eyes, whyba are just a plus.

Nice bro. When I went to to that place, I don't find for hot spots, I only drive around find hmong people and follow them to get my limit...lolz hmong people know the hot spots...
