Acolyte Premiere Episodes Discussion and Speculation!
When’s the next pod airing? I hope you guys are still friends after Tyler broke Cam’s Legos 😬
NOW!!!
IM HERE, RAAAAAAAAH
@@Marshmellowiss WE ARE HONORED!
Great pod! 2 things: 1. Speculation : one of the most valuable things in the galaxy is Kyber. So I’m gona guess At-Attin or however it’s spelled has a huge supply of raw Kyber and that’s where it gets its wealth. 2. Treasure Island is the GOAT of pirate tales. Not the movie , the book! Every good pirate story borrows from that novel. It’s a must read! And yes there’s a lot of those vibes in this show!
@@DarthJarJar0504 I like the Kyber idea! Excited to hear your VM 👊🏼
I notice there are less comics on the display
@@laceyhyman1904 I blame Cameron.
You guys are awesome sauce 47:07
Thanks dude! I didn’t have Revan on the bingo card for Cameron, but his explantation makes a ton of sense! Appreciate you hanging with us!
I will say I absolutely loved Rise of Skywalker, to me it felt like the Revenge of the Sith of the sequels, it made everything kind of make sense in the greater context of the saga.
@@jackbrodie7147 love to hear that! I’m long overdue a rewatch. I’m feeling like when December hits I’ll get the itch to relive the season. I was just talking on the episode we just recorded today about needing a rewatch to see how the film has aged to me.
Perfect! Thanks for breaking it down. I’m a noob!
I’m just going to keep commenting here lol. The skeleton crew trailers give me “lost in space” vibes. I could see Jude Law playing a deceptive character like you guys said. Sort of like Dr. Smith on Lost in Space. Someone that gains the trust of everyone and seems like they want to help, but has other motives. Or like a Long John Silver character. “Beware the one-legged man”
Absolutely! I totally see the Lost in Space/Dr Smith comp, we’ll find out soon!
I’ve probably asked this before but can’t remember. Where would you recommend someone who has never read a Star Wars comic to start if I wanted to get into them?
Great question! Honestly, if they’re really wanting to delve deep into the current canon, I’d start with the 2015 Star Wars #1. There’s a Vader and Aphra line the run concurrent. Something like Marvel Unlimited would let you read the next 9 years worth for 10 bucks a month. Or, start with the new issue 1 that launches this coming month!
We definitely need a KOTOR III
A little disappointed that Cameron isn’t here but I still love the show! And the game sounds fun, I’m excited to play it
@@Marshmellowiss same!!! But he’s back in the studio tomorrow for next week’s show! We’re talking 2D Clone Wars and he’s pumped haha. While I still have some frustrations with gameplay, we hit a streak of excellent missions and lots of fun. Very much a good time to be had in the game. Thanks for hanging with us!!!!
@@StarWarsAfterParty I’ll make sure to tune into the podcast tomorrow for sure!
@@Marshmellowiss YES! it’ll go up Thursday 👊🏻
Last night before we started Empire Strikes Back, I was quizzed and answered every question right. So, that felt cool. At 5am this morning Cameron rolled over and whispered in my ear “What’s the name of the ice planet?”😂
@@laceyhyman1904 now this is the pillow talk we can get behind!!! 😂😂😂
Solo was mid, at best
@@blueshattrick has your opinion wavered at all in the last 6* years or it was average from the jump?
@@StarWarsAfterParty The firehose of garbage Dizney Wars "content" in recent years certainly hasn't helped, if that's what you're asking 😄 but even then, Solo is still better than the sequels (though that's a low bar)
@@blueshattrick more of what I was asking was whether Solo appeals to you more on recent rewatches compared to when it dropped. That seems to be the sentiment of many folks, so I was just curious!
2018 HAS LEFT THE CHAT.

There is a little weirdness with the CC of the song at the beginning of the video, fyi.
CC meaning closed captioning? I’ll look into it if so, but RUclips auto generates all that and I’m not even sure where to begin

i saw Solo in the movie theaters. i feel that Solo took hard cheap shots at the movie as a whole. i like how the showed how chewy, solo, lando and jaba met, fill in some gaps. It was fun to learn how fast the falcon really is.
@@user-pk5gg7it5n yes, great thoughts! They really gave us so many cool details and fleshed out characters in a great way. Thanks for hanging with us 👊🏻
Absolutely SOLID SW movie.

“Your focus determines your reality”. If you go around disrespecting others and looking for offense, you’ll find yourself offended and feeling disrespected. I didn't see Solo in the theater. I honestly don't recall when I first watched it. My wife, then girlfriend, loved it. She wasn't nearly as big a fan of Star Wars as I am, but she got me to watch it more than once and actually learned to appreciate it. I absolutely agree with you guys tho that this is the most fun Star Wars film and overall it is actually pretty great. Loved hearing you guys talk about it.

Id hated it back them, and saw it again last month and liked... its a really good movie... plus: its Ron Howard, directing a Star Wars movie.

Also, can you guys rewatch the most underrated Star Wars film of all time, “Solo” and give us a your breakdown?
I’m #TeamSol
Leslye Headland made the Jedi out to be villains when they did nothing wrong, apart from the wooden acting of everyone except Lee Jong Jae and the actor who played one of the Jedi, who thinks that Anakin blew up the Death Star.
@@patrickmusson4571 I see it a bit differently. I don’t know that I would call the Jedi villains, more that in the pursuit of doing right, they did some wrong things. “They did nothing wrong” really depends on your point of view. There were certainly a lot of misunderstandings throughout the series and some of the resulting presumptions let to some certainly less than desirable outcomes. I’d say Sol was wrong to kill Aniseya. I understand why he did so, but I don’t believe it to be right. All that said, appreciate you checking us out and I’m glad to have you join us. Happy to keep the discussion going either here, or you could always “call in” and we’d play you on the show. Appreciate it, Patrick!
Congrats on 50 episodes and i cant wait for my next lesson and im with you on everything and lets go CAMERON is BACK
Happy 50th Party People! I can’t wait to watch you take the Jedi Order to a senate oversight committee/ trial. I think that could be very eye opening. My final thought on the finale is that I want to believe Plagueis was involved in the creation of the twins. Sideous had multiple attempts at the perfect clone, and with Star Wars having an affinity for reusing themes and parallels, I think we will see that Anakin was not Plagueis’ first attempt at creating life, but that he worked at perfecting it for decades. May the Force be with you, always.
Congrats on 50 episodes!
Thanks bro! On to 50 more, glad you're tuning in!

New star wars is painful to watch
Not everything is for everyone. If it’s not for you, watch something else you enjoy. Probably would help to do that rather than watch something you find painful that puts you in a negative headspace. Maybe one day you come back around with a different perspective and enjoy it. That’s been true for me at times. MTFBWY
It was a load of shit
Agree to disagree. I was exhilarated and found the reveal of Qimir being The Stranger to be highly satisfying. Well shot, quick paced episode. Not much to critique from my end, but always down to have the conversation!
🤣🤣🫵🫵🫵🫵🫵 you people think this is actually Star Wars LMAO.....utterly hilarious😂😂🫵🫵
I think I understand where you’re coming from, let me explain from my side. Yes, I see this as a part of the ever expanding mythology that is Star Wars that was originally created by Lucas. You hear me talk about it on the podcast (if you checked it out), but this show speaks philosophically in a lot of ways that George did and in a way I truly enjoy. There’s a lot here to like here and sure, a lot to pick flaws in if you’d like. Been watching Star Wars for almost thirty years and it means a lot to me, always happy to chat with a fellow fan. If you wanna have the conversation I’m open for it. If you want to point and laugh, I get that, too. If it’s the latter, MTFBWY 👊🏻
No need to be mean dude, just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean you need to hate on the people who do. So immature
@@Marshmellowiss 🤣🤣😂😂🙄🙄 No need to be so overly positive and happy about it ...dude. Just because YOU like it does not mean you need to tell someone who didn't like it how to feel or what say about it or how to express it. smh. So un-self aware. Pot.....kettle.
@@TiberiusGracchusII not being overly positive or happy. And I didn’t say I enjoyed it. I don’t care if you enjoyed it or not, but you don’t have to be such a jerk about it to other people, especially people who are just trying to enjoy the franchise they love, regardless of if YOU enjoyed it. And you can express how you feel about it if you want, but you don’t have to be a complete dick about it and ridicule others and then act like you are just trying to express your feelings, if you want to act like that then I’m sure there is someplace full of people who agree with you.
