Major jackpot’s update. Dad posted Indie-Ann’s update earlier in the week and asked me to do one. Well …. Being a month younger and only 3 and a half weeks … we hadn’t done some of the tasks they had shown in their update … but not to be outdone …i think we ticked them off today !! Maybe not as smooth as dad, my timing and release definitely isn’t as good , … but we’re trying our hardest and I’...

Horse wont stand still for its owner! Lets see if I can help!

Here is a horse that really needs to willingly side up to a mounting block for its owner. He’s quite reluctant and has a habit of moving his hind quarters away . I’m quite persistent and show another way to help him decide to move in the direction that is our idea .

A lovely first horse helping visit today in Surrey . This new Forrest pony called Lester needed a little direction on a few things ( longer video to come ) this clip was the start changing his idea on constantly diving for grass ( such a common problem and at times can ruin a ride ) Lester is real smart and caught on real quick 😊

Major jackpot’s first 36 hours. Friday afternoon I just knew that Molly was acting a little different and decided to plait her tail and stay over at mum and dads! And …. While checking the camera, I noticed her acting a little weird, and saw the first signs of labour! Within an hour, Molly had a beautiful little black colt…. But … some of you may not realise that he will actually be white grey ...

Other issues have slowly started to improve but not the mounting . We always say if your horse won’t stand still for getting on you are steeling a ride . Amazing transformation of a click and treated stallion disaster . This beautiful and rare young stallion has become almost impossible to handle and fast becoming very dangerous . Why is he so dangerous!!??

So that’s why he’s so dangerous !! When horses show difficult and dangerous behaviour more often than not it is a symptom of a cause. I always try to work out why the unwanted behaviours are showing up on my visits but it’s not always possible to get to the core of them . In this video however I did find the underlying cause being impaired eyesight in the left eye . The resulting behaviour was ...

Lovely heavy weight hunter type, shire coat colour with Clydesdale markings. The owner should have great fun on him ride/drive if she wanted he's got the conformation.I think his nice nature will help the owner iron out any handling kinks in the future with the help from Steve.

I have a two month old bay and she is so pretty like the filly in this video. Im teaching her to lead , back up , pick up her feet and to flex. She is on board with it all. I pet her all over and talk gently to her. Her mother is also a bay and very well mannered. I love them both. I like this vid and the little one when she approaches and also gets the zoomies .

I feel sad that she’s for sale and may come up against a different trainer in her future who doesn’t use Steve’s positive methods but uses old style training. She has warmed to Steve straight away. Bless her. 💖 Edit: Steve so many people say this lovely girl needs you and I totally agree. Can’t you just keep her for a year or so and teach her to trust humans without any fear of them? I can’t bear to think someone may take her who doesn’t understand her needs. Look how beautiful she is and so gentle - she’s breaking my heart here. 💔

Very nice session! 27:00 Is there something attached to the horse’s back left leg? It seems like something is “niggling” the horse indeed… I have been wondering about it for a while over these first twenty minutes. In reading other comments about this, I’d like to know what it is that was bugging the horse. The girth, some tight muscles, a swollen foot, an insect on that leg… something sure seems like it is going on. Also, Musicmore7545 commented about the audio situation with some very good tips and understanding … reverb needs to be dealt with as it is apparently what is causing the muffling in such a large space.

I learned so much! Thank you! Very handsome pony and the rider was so quick in picking up what was being shown to us. ❤ I believe the sound problem was that the headset mic 1:11:24 wasn’t on because when Steve was talking away from the camera his voice was quiet, but when he was close to the camera it cleared right up. There might have been a wrong selection on which mic was take precedence because the folks behind the camera were perfectly audible even when they were whispering. I’m a professional full time musician and all I know about sound is the it’s annoyingly complex in the “too many buttons” world. 😊

Always love your videos. I used to do recordings of a family member's musical performances, and I was able to use the free program Audacity to edit audio. I think the reason that it is difficult to understand your audio here is primarily because it is a large acoustic space and there is so much reverb that it makes the speech indistinct. It used to be that there was not much you could do about reverberation after it was already in the recording, but now I think Audacity (free audio editing program you can use on a PC) has some ways to remove reverb including a plug-in called dereverb. I have not used any of these tools for ten years, but I'm sure they would be worth a try, short of exploring better audio recording equipment.
