Saw Alan Watts (back row 3rd from right) in the League winning team photo the other day. If I remember rightly I heard their troubles started when the club steward was helping himself to money.

Really enjoyed this mate. Interesting stuff, however sad to see a football club left to rot and disappear into the history books. Hopefully, this video will get you some more information from the people involved in this old cornish football club. Good luck, mate.

Riviera Coasters played their Duchy League matches there between 1994 and 1980. Great times were had on a lovely playing surface.

Remember Bugle FC well. By the time my side Saltash United returned to old SWL, they'd done down to ECPL and played our reserves but the SWL chair Tristan Scott (lovely fella) was Bugles Secretary back in 1950/1960s and they were well regarded in local football terms. It's a shame, a real shame.

I grew up in New Molinnis and remember my dad buying me my first pair of football boots. I couldn’t wait to go over to the pitch and try them out as the goals used to be up and it was the only place we could play football properly in the village. My dad used to play for bugle in the early 90s so it must have been very nostalgic for him to take his son to kick a ball around at his old stomping grounds. Unfortunately, a grumpy old chap used to come and kick us off the pitch as it was ‘unsafe’ for us to be there. The clubhouse was exactly where you pointed out, the shell of what was the clubhouse was there for most of my childhood. The facilities that could have been for a small village club could have been great. Someone I know put in an application to the FA to try to restart the club but was unfortunately rejected. The grounds are still maintained as they hold the annual band competition at this location. They March down through the village and finish at where the football club was. I would love to see the club started back up and can’t see that it would take that much to do so. Having played duchy football for a number of years it would be one of the better pitches locally and could use the local pub or social club after the games to bring in some revenue. If anyone has any photos or information on my old man and what he was like as a player it would be great to hear. I won’t share his name but I’m sure anyone would recognise our very Cornish surname 😅

Sad to see as a great club to play for, from committee to fans and players have many fantastic memories.

Glad you posted this. I played here once at U16’s level around 2006. Always remember the ground but until now wouldn’t have known where it was. Recognised it immediately from this video.

Very sad, didn't realise Bugle had folded. My uncle played for them in the 1960's, never played football there but played cricket at Bugle many times-the cricket team is still going which makes it very surprising that no football is played there now. Nigel Martyn played for Bugle among other Cornish clubs, Argyle missed out there.

Some of my best memories were at this ground. I played for a youth team called Mount who played in the Plymouth DJM league and we used Mollinis Park as our home ground - 1993 / 1994 / 1995 ish. The changing rooms were located inside that main stand. Thanks for uploading this video - brings back so many great memories but also sad to see it left derelict. 😢

What a great video. I’m a Hereford fan and stand in the stand where there are seats above. The pillars supporting the seating above affect the view, but I have my traditional space now so can’t move.

My local non league club. A great location with a lovely view in the background. Played all my youth football home games on the pitches opposite the ground.

I’m currently doing the 92 league clubs(on 78) so I know a lot about miles on the road, train timetables and cancellations etc etc. I have huge respect for Sunderland and Plymouth fans - plus supporters of clubs like Carlisle and Barrow etc - who travel huge distances. I did a 420 round trip to Exeter yesterday which pales into insignificance compared to this one!! Geographically Burton Albion is best placed. Football trips forge strong friendships and even stronger resolves at times. Enjoyed the Vlog.

My old golf club,Hurdwick GC, was sited on the lava path of the extinct volcano at Brentor and had a quarry within it from which the granite based stone used to build much of the town centre was extracted.Course is closed now sadly, you almost certainly would have passed it on your way into Tavistock, i play at Tavistock GC now. My uncle used to play for Tavistock FC back in the day,they are quite a progressive club now and have made great strides in recent years.As an Argyle season ticket holder not such a good day yesterday but a much better one for Sunderland-swings and roundabouts of football!

I was actually playing in this game for Street FC well back up keeper it would've been a better match but the ref ruined it with the 2 red cards that were rescinded a week after 🙂 Appreciate you covering this match 💪
