I think you’re so right in your analysis. The irony is Knee is playing way too safe and doing fast jabs and pokes like df+1, but he gets cooked by the pressure. He needs to press back and put on his own pressure. You can’t defend in Tekken 8 and win. You will die if all you do is block all day. Offense is the best defense!

The problem with Bryan is that those of his powerful, rangy moves are all quite slow, while in the critical frame ranges (15-17f) his moves totally suck. Most other characters have a very strong launcher at 15-17 frames, and many even have a fast counter move at 12-13 frames. He has none of these. First off, he doesn't have a regular df2 uppercut at his 15-frame, but only got a "df111" series, which has a maximum of 35 damage and requires visual confirmation (if you do multiple "1"s and get blocked, there will be a 10-frame punishment, and a good opponent can always catch it, so you can only do a single "df1" and visually confirm whether it hits, but that requires a very high reaction ability, very very difficult). And not to mention the range of this move is extremely short. And his 16-frame launcher is f3, which is very, very short, can be used only when close to the opponent. And although it's +/-0 frame on block, I wouldn't say it's a good move. His 3+4 is pretty strong, but it takes 18 frames to launch. At the distance where he can use 3+4, in many cases his opponents can already use their 15-frame uppercuts. He's no match for the speed. The newly added qcb1 is very rangy and has good reward, but its launching frame is not the theoretical "13 frames" that the system tells us, because this does not include the frames of rolling the qcb directions. If this is included, it will take at least 16-17 frames to launch. And Bryan also got his 43 (or 4 -- but it is too difficult to connect and not realistic for ordinary players. Although 43 has a 10-frame punishment, it is better than nothing) scrapped in T8, which used to be a great and fast counter move in T7. This further increases his defects in his tools of faster moves.

This game is stupid, its boring its not for skilled players and its so far from tekken. Before anyone jumps and say im a hater, i play tekken since tekken 3 played them all except the tag.

Fatigue is also a factor too, especially if you are sent to the loser's bracket. I also think Tekken 8 can wear you out more over a long duration compared to Tekken 7.

Do you think you can judge Knee's gameplay? you think you know what he needs to do to get better? do you hear yourself? Knee is playing his main character because this is his last Tekken, this is why he he played Bryan in TWT as well. He knows more about this game than anyone else, he knows Bryan is the hardest character to play in this game, if he just wanted to win he would've been playing Feng but he is sticking with main because this is his last Tekken and he doesn't want to be remembered as the legend who tier hoed.

King is easy to deal with, you just have to spend 100 hours in the lab, then you can break half the throws MAYBE lol 😂

This shit was fucking hilarious dawg lmao Also who cares about how many people use a character. That’s doesn’t mean jack shit in correlation to how cool they are. My two mains, shaheen and raven, are one of the sickest characters with the most sauce in this game but they aren’t played heavily. And it’s not b/c they’re not cool it’s b/c you gotta have a brain to play them well. Same with zafina. That’s why trash ass easy mode metal gear ripoff victor is high in the usage rates Reina carries hard too that’s why she’s high usage as well

Here is my list for characters which don't get as much hate as they should. Jack is pretty annoying to fight against. He has throws which make it look like you broke it but you didn't, lows which look like mids, good punish, good range on grabs. But people consider him honest. Claudio too is annoying. Fast while running move, plus frame single hit moves, evasive hopkick. And Lee. He is pretty evasive and if he does a counter hit he can kill you. Yet he is considered honest due to high execution. Steve is just a punch version of Hwoarang, plus his noices are cringe. Pretty evasive as well. Paul has too much damage. And has good evasion and cheap moves. But then again fighting him is fun despite that. Losing against him doesn't infuriate you as much as other gimmick characters. Well designed in that respect.

Bruh, looking at this character screen real hard, I realize that I hate almost every single match up. I play Steve and Bryan, and fuckin Eddy and Hwoarang are two of my most tolerable matches. This is a real damn problem. Tekken 8 is misery.
