I think there were several amazing points made in this video, however I don’t agree with all of them. I also acknowledge that i’m not very well traveled, as I just turned seventeen a few months ago, i’m also an introvert, and american- but this also means I am surrounded by people my age who are being effected by these instant gratification rabbit holes- the main being tiktok or instagram reels. i’ve noticed a huge decrease in attention span, social interaction, engaging in hobbies, and so so much more just from the social isolation these sites bring.. and it’s worse because they are highly addicting and we are their target demographic. i’ve deleted almost all social media sites, switched to (mainly) long form content, tried to take life a bit slower… but I still watch a few episodes of my shows every now and then or treat myself to a fancy coffee just for the fun of it. I think there should be a balance between the fun and the life, a balance that is being cut out due to the addiction these apps provide. yet, as you described, is the self improvement really self improvement if that is all you are doing? Overall so many great points said in this video though and I am definitely subbing for more content, keep smiling

this is the problem when its no longer about survival. the human condition is so complicated that it's never perfect. There are lots of people who stay put and build and still feel something is missing. Ultimately it doesn't matter does it, we end up, in the end, at the same destination with an equal number of regrets regardless of what we chose to do along the way.

I quite like this idea. Lately I've been trying to improve everything at once, which is an impossible task and makes me instead do nothing. I want to exercise, create art, excel in school, socialise, journal etc. and trying to make the daily "atomic habits" is impossible since I only have 2 hours or so of free time when I get home from school, which I can't do everything in, so I just scroll. To think seasonally would mean that I would be able to focus on what is important right now and be able to improve in that area. Now that it is summer I could focus on getting through my summer homework and hopefully dedicate some time to hobbies and friends. It still seems slightly challenging, but anything is better than scrolling

I agree. But at times it's good to take a break and to integrate the sadnesses and bittersweet moments back into our life.

I mn it surely is a bit overrated, but it can be great fun if you go like only twice a week or so with friends. Besides and most importantly: u need to have/set urself objectives that u can work on at the gym and not anywhere else. Regarding the latter, what you said abt considering other options is fair enough.

well said. the trap of self improvement is easy to fall into while avoiding what matters. its another stop on the trip of the procrastinator.

What you are talking about is developing a stringent routine which can sometimes become counterproductive. People often develop these bad psychological dependence on certain daily tasks whereby if they were to miss those tasks they feel like they have wasted that day. People need to learn to be flexible and prioritise things as required to achieve maximum output.

all these things happen , and I think its quite normal to be anxious to fit in quickly. but we also know its better to slow down and give yourself priorities, all the rest will come on its own. pribably having hurt your arm, helps to understand and choose what will appear is the most important. , your job. the rest will come on its own. just a little time more.
