claddagh films
Ирландия
Добавлен 31 авг 2018
Claddagh Films is an independent film and television production company based in Ireland. Mostly, we make short films and one or two documentaries which tour the film festivals of the world, before finding a life here on RUclips. We don't put all of our films on RUclips, and sometimes we make stuff for RUclips which doesn't go on the festival circuit. But ideally, everything we make or shoot or edit or put together, would somehow end up here. You get the idea.
From initially shooting on 16mm Bolex Rex5 wind-up cameras, through to using modern digital techniques, we use whatever comes to hand to try and tell great stories.
We'd love it if you subscribed to our channel.

Liam O'Maonlai sings Sadhbh Ni Bhruinneallaigh
Similar to our other Galway Arts Festival videos, this is a rare encounter with Liam O'Maonlai (of Hothouse Flowers) in Galway, way back in 1994.
Liam gives us a Sean Nos (unaccompanied) rendition of this ancient Irish song. As he explains, a sea captain asks for the hand in marriage of Sadhbh Ni Bhruinneallaigh. History has long-since forgotten if he was successful, but his courtship lives on in the amazing voice of Liam O'Maonlai.

Interview with Leon Redbone
Просмотров 23 тыс.4 года назад
We caught up with Leon Redbone at the Galway Arts Festival in 1994. He took some time to talk with Eithne after his performance. Apologies for the audio, this is the raw (unedited) footage and our intention wasn't to use the interviewer's (Eithne!) questions on-camera, so she does not have a mic.

Quick test of Blender Cycles render engine with a simple treasure chest.
Planet Fly-By Created Using Blender
Просмотров 444 года назад
Quick and simple test of a planet fly-by using a red planet created from the Space VFX tutorials, and with a simple starfield background. Testing the bump maps and use of the image background. The BG image is washed out due to the main lighting, but it's an interesting experiment in what you can produce in Blender 3D in a short period of time.

Having never seen or heard him perform in person this video interview was/is a privilege to watch. RIP Leon.
My brother introduced me to Leon Rebone. So glad. Wish I had been able to see him live while he was alive,I mean you know as I sure only he would appreciate I think😅
Mr. Redbone was one of the best kept secrets in music, a true artist who always stayed true to his unique style of music. I discovered him as a teenager 45 years ago. Over the years his music has brought me hundreds of hours of joy. I’m only sorry that I never got a chance to him him live before he passed. Thank you Leon, you will always have a special place in my heart and ears.
poor performance by host and sound crew. Leon: gracious
a cool dude
A voice like warm honey, a mind like a circus performer and the mold was broken when he was born. Miss you Leon!!!!!
I would love to listen to an audiobook narrated by Leon. He had such a soothing voice
I remember seeing him on SNL in the 70s but had forgotten all about him. I was watching Elf with the kids last night and recognized his voice as the snowman, and singing over the closing credits. Enjoying finding some of these videos experiencing him again.
Leon had a very unusual voice and temperment. Nobody else quite like him. A genius in his own right.
What a warm and engaging speaking voice... unique in all the world.
Born in Greece .
I thought it was Armenia...
Born in Cyprus. Armenian parents.
Loved him. Leon always reminded me of Uncle Tonoose.
Such a rare moment to calmly sit and chat with a very private individual. Leon knew how to appreciate and entertain an audience, while keeping a safe distance from the general public. A curious combination.
That Guy Was So Inscrubable. Notice The Club ( Sp). Clean Up After Hours.! !
I hear a lot of Bing Crosby’s influence in Leon’s voice !
A very unique voice, he had.
Leon performed at Egertons in Toronto back in the 70’s.
Saw him live twice......shook hands and got his autograph. Great entertainer, truly one of a kind. First interview I've seen of him. Thanks for posting.
The humble magnificent one and only
What a gracious guest.
I saw Leon in 3 different decades , he was wonderful
My favourite of all time along with Ry Cooder
I seen him on Saturday Night Live back in the mid 70's and became a fan. He was a good kind of different !! It's a shame he's gone !! RIP Leon !!! ❤
What's with all the Chopin questions!? Some strange questions here!
Excellent rendition. Míle maith agat
3:25 Here today gone tomorow. Maybe, maybe not! He was just perfect!
Dapper.
Miss seeing him live. Thank you for this rare interview.
The reasoning of the off camera interviewer baffles me..The sound quality between the 2 people blows... Great to see Leon..but this format style is horrible. . .
If only I had been able to see him just once live
Where has Leon gone, I don’t see his statue yet?
He is absolutely masterful, I so appreciate this interview.
Please put the questions in text form? I can’t hear her. Great video though, thank you. 👍🎩💕
Your wish is granted. Took a while to get the text synced with the video, but you can turn on Closed Captions and see the questions and answers. Hope this helps!
Such a mysterious gentleman.
I miss this GREAT ENTERTAINER SO MUCH!❤
I think it would be a lot better if you could put the questions in text on the screen. It's a good interview and worth doing.
Good idea.
closed Captions are on now, with proper (not computer-generated) subtitles.
Love his voice: like he just had his wisdom teeth removed.
genius,,,rare interview of a super talent ...
Heartfelt thanks for sharing this wonderful interview with us! Leon has a dedicated group of followers from here and there and everywhere...The Leonites! facebook.com/groups/Leonredbonefans
