when inexplicable mysteries are finally solved
Whether it's an unidentified slasher or a song lost to time for nearly 20 years, even the most bewildering cases have a grounded backstory. These are several real-world examples of when inexplicable mysteries are finally solved.

chilling cases of cursed media

From an adored song that has inspired brutal killings to a 400-year-old book with a deadly hex, these are several of the most chilling cases of cursed media. attempting to make more short-form content as opposed to the longer, extensive videos i've made before, though you can certainly still expect more of those soon. depending on how this does, i might transition to a weekly upload schedule in...

"And It begs the question - 'What is the point?'" video aside, i wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for all the newfound support the channel has received over the past month. these are numbers i never imagined reaching when i started, and i’m incredibly excited for the future of this channel and this community. as much as i love this album, probably gonna take a break from listening to i...
the most disturbing songs ever made: an iceberg
Просмотров 535 тыс.3 месяца назад
This is an iceberg of the most disturbing songs ever made, going from some of the most acclaimed tracks written, all the way down to the obscure yet equally terrifying pieces of music. These songs are not only abhorrent in sound, but in gut-wrenching lyrics, overwhelming artist performances, and devastating background. thank you to everyone who has supported me so far. gonna move away from iceb...

Peggy's one isn't disturbing, it's based
I'm very surprised the choice for Giles Corey wasn't instead the track "I'm Going To Do It". Then again, that whole album is like the Requiem For A Dream of the music world. Only need to listen to it once and never again, unless you've finally decided you're going to end it. In which case, it feels like your only friend.
I used to listen to so much korn from like 5-12
Closer by Nine Inch Nails could also easily qualify as disturbing. Most listeners associate the song with sex due to its bridge and rough instrumental, and to a certain extent that's true, but listening to the song's lyrics after the bridge show that the man is addicted the sensation of sex and feels generally isolated from people and hates himself for it. It was written around the time Trent Reznor was struggling with substance abuse, so it's likely the song was allegorical, like Hurt. Thankfully Reznor is in a much better state of mind these days and has put out songs with a much lighter tone and more hopeful themes, like modern Tyler, The Creator.
The Black Dahlia Murder has some tracks that are...shocking. I've been a huge fan of theirs for years, but no song of theirs made me feel as dirty as "The Window". It's a song from the perspective of a french serial killer of children and what he did to them.
You forgot Sarah and Rotten Sarah by Tyler, the creator
loving ur channel so far keep it up!!
stumbled onto this video accidentally. gahdamn is this video good. keep going even if u dont get views rn bro ur gonna be big
Excellent video, well researched and well executed ❤
such a shame you forgot about prison sex by TOOL
"sole less" im out
Personally, I would add something from Geogaddi by boards of canada. Think it would fit thos iceberg pretty well
I really really Like your Videos but they Are sooooooo Long😔😮💨
i’ve always tried to trim things down, but i’m just used to creating long-form content, for better or worse
@ better you do the things you Like 🏵️
Did anyone make a spotify playlist?
It took me a long time to watch the entire video because I tried to listen to every song mentioned😅😅😅
Seeing my favorite song from The Cure in here was not on my bingo card for this video.
I forgot who but someone introduced me to the song dance with the devil and I was so shaken up after listening to the song I cry every time I’ve listened to it
ahh yes... musiccccchhhhh
Peter Sotos’ album ‘buyers market’ should be a tier on its own
Ur voice is so annoying
Your comments are so annoying
You don’t need to watch then :)
A good one to have included some where in there could have been Street Spirit (Fade Out) by Radiohead.
i find it interesting that a lot of these songs have references to suicide, it reminds you that no one has a perfect life, especially famous people. i love seeing artists vent their feelings through their music and telling us that their lives aren't as they seem to be.
Check out a song called The End by Blue October
every tier is the same thing
I've heard this iceberg before, but you give it a different angle, with more info. It's very refreshing!😀
i would add “and then she bled” by suicide silence. recreation of the 911 call of the lady who’s chimp ate her friends face to death metal instrumental. i second everyone saying ptolemea by ethel cain is really missing on this list too.
2:06:08 HELPPPPPP I recognize this from TikTok I'm crying
This is indeed disturbing
Is Wilful Days Killing Joke's (child) rape anthem? Is Love Like Blood Killing Joke's Incest anthem?
There’s a song called stars that should be on here
Maniac Street Preachers - Yes
Manics 4st 7lb
king park by la dispute not here???
dir en grey mentioned omfg
Real!!
I was hoping there would be more Horrorcore rap picks. I'm not saying it's not a good tier list. I'm just saying there's some songs I would have liked to seen on here that didn't make it such as KKKill the Fetus by Esham.
Great video for me to listen to while sewing but I didn't recognize Dance With the Devil as that one tiktok slideshow trend of adding more and more ridiculous things to make a recognizable meme, until you read the final line. I want to take it seriously but now I can think of is a dog in overalls with a propeller hat and massive lolipop.
Limousine by Brand New, about the real life death of a 7 year old girl from the perspective of the drunk driver who killed her
Wait, no sotos? No stalaggh? I know they are well known but they're not even in the video? Great video though.
I knew 100% dance with the devil would be on this list lmfaooo
This video would be a lot better if you knew how to pronounce words.
i know it was never officially released (thankfully) but not having never see me again on this list by kanye is a crime, it's literally a suicide note as a song.
If a song by mcbushpig isn't on here I'm finna bawl my eyes out Edit: is he really that obscure?
KORN MENTIONED
Most of KoRn's first three albums have a place on this list, but if I did have to choose one song from KoRn, it would be Daddy.
Thank you for including many genres.
Blood Rocks D.O.A. and Boomtown Rats I Don't Like Mondays are both songs that garnered decent popularity in their time despite their disturbing subject matter. Lloyd Prices Stagger Lee is also rather shocking for its time.
Why I'm not even surprised that there's Tyler's music there💀
This is another video essay to add into the list of incredible documentaries covering this one of a kind album. I can tell that Z E N has a deep appreciation for this album like I'm sure many of us watching this video do. Deathconsciousness will always remain as tied for my favourite album and the one that has the most emotional significance to me. I first listened to this album in high school and it, along with albums like Kid A by Radiohead, and much of Godspeed You! Black Emperor's work, it accompanied me through a very dark bout of depression in my life. I remember very vividly, walking out of school on a day in May of grade 12, sitting on a bench that was overlooking a river, next to a bridge that I was contemplating to jump off of and end my life. I had suffered so much from suicidal ideation during my life, this being one of the most difficult days I had felt in some time. I played this album on the walk to this point, then sat down and listened to it on repeat for several hours, while I sat and cried. Eventually, I got up, walked back to school and sat down with my girlfriend to talk. Now, I am in university and persuing a degree I have dreamed of getting my whole life and am much happier in life. I still have struggles like anyone else suffering from depression does, but Deathconsciousness is an album that I have used to let my sadness, pain, and frustration flow through as a perfect analogy for how my depression feels. This album saved my life. I plan on getting the vinyl for it soon and I hope to one day go to a Have A Nice Life concert to thank Dan and Tim directly for making something that has touched me in such a personal way.
Surprised that Gloomy Sunday wasn’t even mentioned once, or Strange Fruit by Billie Holiday
the last story makes me so happy. imagine being in a band that has had little success, decide it’s not worth it and decades later you find out that some random song of yours has a huge following - because you were so obscure. i would be delighted too 🥹
it was such an interesting story follow for all of these years, and on top of all of it the music is super underrated on its own glad they finally got some well-earned recognition in their lifetimes
you completely overlooked the meaning of the song agiated screams of maggots (unplugged) by dir en grey here 1:29:39. the song IS about rape, and based on the music video of the non-unplugged version, about ped0philia. its written from the standpoint of a rape survivor, and is about the darkest and most overlooked part of the 'after', aka the self-dehumanization, the reject from society, the utter disgust for oneself and society, the misanthropy and the potential victim-to-abuser pipeline it's such an incredible song and you shat on it
