You're on to something. We sure do have to think for ourselves. i believed the Bible for years but the more you read, the more you question. There's a lot of wise teachings in there but there's also some crazy violence. The Noah's ark story in Genesis 8 is a good one to look into.... the ark was really was not very large in size and would have had to have fit thousands of animals on board. I'm more interested in Buddhism now and am quite convinced that reincarnation is true after watching people share their stories, especially the near death experiences.

This could have happened to me. Friends from high school and I went to Mohican State Park on lsd. Anyone who knows about the fire tower there, we climbed it on the outside frame. We didn't use the steps. As I said, this could have easily been me.

My heart goes out to you… It makes me think of a guy I know who abused drugs and over dosed and ended up with locked in syndrome… tetraplegic and he talks by using his eyes… he has a computer that he can use with his eyes also..

Through the first 6mins of this video, this is a brilliant, impregnable, unassailable viewpoint. I am listening on to it's end… I became a born-again Christian at age 14, and pursued this faith passionately for the next 35yrs. Thereafter, I have relinquished it, slowly, painfully, beginning in my late 40s. Now in my mid-60s, I've finally found peace. A brief, cogent summation of my understanding of life now is that the materialists are right, and this life here on Earth is all we get. For each of us there was an unfathomable void prior to conception, and we return to that void upon our last heartbeat. Is there a God? I do not know; I choose to believe there is one, but "He" is nothing like any of the images we concoct in our likeness. He, if existent, is as unfathomable to any human mind as is the void we leapt from upon birth and subside into upon death. And He certainly is not jealous of any other divinity, nor threatened one whit by any doubts I or any other sentient being may hold towards Him, Her, or It. The Christian narrative along with all the thousands or tens of thousands of religions that that we have formulated over millennia, all, all are mere mythologies, comforting stories we tell ourselves in answer to our intuitions of our ultimate, inescapable annihilation. We want so desperately to live and never die… So poignant is it, this life-force! But this flicker of light is all we get, miraculous and transient. Out, out, brief candle. 🔥

Some deep thoughts expressed here. I feel a lightedness of being through your words. I sense your soul's nature and appreciate the wisdom you have always had that you were able to articulate in this vlog. You knew you were not separate, you knew and felt in tune with your divine oneness. You knew that life was meant to be a shared journey, a tribal journey...because we are not as separate as we think we are. I love some of the conclusions you arrived at. Keep being you.

I had anger in this life, and I wanted to take control and power and to be able to make the choice to exit this life. But my therapist brought up the fact that, what if you commit suicide and then you have to come right back in a new life and still learn the same lesson you failed to learn by cutting the previous life short?? It is sort of a profound thought. Some of the books I have read in part or in full recently that addressed the soul are Gary Zukav's "Seat of the Soul". "Care of the Soul" by Thomas Moore. "Sacred Contracts" by Caroline Myss. Pema Chodron "Living Beautifully" and "Start where you are". Also found Jon Kabat Zinn "Mindfulness Meditation for pain relief". One thing that made sense to me even though its hard to understand the author's verified sources when it comes to these abstract spiritual concepts, was that our personality's or ego's desires for this lifetime, are many times not in alignment for what the soul came here to know. So that to me means to trust the higher guidance of the soul- to know that God has a plan and this journey through life is necessary. "No matter how far afield this journey should take you, know that it is necessary."

Hey there, I just found your channel randomly this morning. I also had a bad experience in India now 6 + years ago, and one of the impacting results has been wanting to end my life at times. Very much have thought of assisted suicide at times. I've also been in great self pitying states for months to years on end, that are consuming whereby one is unable to put things into context and perspective properly. Your lovely self, personality, intelligence and story telling ability has given me a lot of hope. And I realize through watching your clip here that I would probably 100% not be accepted for assisted suicide. I've said at times it feels like I am living a half a life as a result of the troubles this very life has given to me. You are a huge inspiration. You took the absolute worst that could happen and you found the light, you found God and you are helping to empower and strengthen others with your sharing and openness. I am so glad that somewhere along the way you had adequate support, a sense of safety, protection and the love you needed to be able to make this journey. I’m so sorry this happened to you Sheryn. I’m sorry you shamed yourself for the fault of experimenting with drugs at a very common age to do just that, essentially for being human.

I’m hearing a lot of excuses and zero accountability. No one can make you eat drugs out of the palm of their hand. You need to admit you abused drugs and this awful thing happened.

Thanks for sharing your story. I've always been terrified of LSD. Never tried it. I never could tolerate weed either. However I drink a ton of booze. Recently I had my very first blackout drunk and I know that I should quit drinking now. Your story gives me the courage to try to stay sober. ❤

I can relate to this tragedy many years ago my good friend tried to do the same thing you did. We were on 2 tabs of lsd and my friend wanted to jump i stopped him physically and had a word to him to try snap him back to reality. Was a scary moment.
