After 5 weeks my results on Ozempic for PCOS symptom relief.
Why don’t you try Zepbound? Lots of people with PCOS have been getting better results on that one. Does it thicken your hair? Does it clear up your skin? I have PCOS, and I’m on metformin and birth control, but I just keep gaining more weight. Hopefully I can get on this one soon. Good luck on your journey. Sorry, I meant does Ozempic help with any of those things that I mentioned earlier?🙏😁
@@Mariachigirl91 ozempic is what my dr recommended and my insurance covered. It has helped me especially with my skin and weight and even a bit with my hair density. Best wishes to you!
Ive heavily been weighing on it but I can't decide
@@KylieTrail-m1s it’s a big decision to make. I am happy that I decided to try it. Best wishes and good health to you!
Hi! I watched another video from three years ago and heard that you felt a lot of symptoms come back without Ozempic like PMS symptoms. I’m curious if you’ve tried inositol? I have PCOS and struggled with extreme PMS pain and irregular cycles until I started taking this supplement that’s well researched and it reduced those symptoms. It’s also used to improve insulin resistance, common for those with PCOS. Thanks for documenting your journey. It’s so helpful to see and hear from a woman with PCOS who tried semiglutides.
Hi! I also have PCOS and tarsal tunnel syndrome. I had no idea there could be a connection. I’m seeing so many ladies here who have both PCOS and carpal tunnel, which basically the same as tarsal tunnel. One is in the wrist and the other is in the foot. Has this improved with being on ozempic with less inflammation?
Hello. I actually had surgery for both hands and my elbow. My overall inflammation is down most days but I still have moderate inflammation the week before my period. It definitely does help but I can’t comment on the effect on carpal tunnel since I had the surgery for it right after starting Ozempic. Best wishes to you!
Hi.. thank you Can we connect on email
Hey girl! Dont know if youll see this, i have pcos & carpal tunnel & ALSO a hair stylist! Lol.. started Ozempic 6 weeks ago, already noticing a HUGE difference in my inflamation, almost 0 bloat & my carpal tunnel isnt bothering me nearly as much. Id love to know how the uterine ablation is working for you, i currently have an IUD in but am working on getting an ablation scheduled.. ! I kni this video is old, but maybe youll see this. 😅take care 🙂
Wow!! I hope you are doing well and feeling better! The ablation was successful imo. I spot a tiny bit now every 27 days ! Much better than the humongous clotting! Wishing you much success and good health
I was on ozempic for about a year. I have lost about 14kg. My endocrinologist and I thought i could try and stop it to see how I manage. It’s been about 2 months since i stopped, i have gained 3 Kg 😭 and my bowel motion has been super weird, excessive flatulence and feeling of incomplete emptying despite having regular bowl motions daily. I am regularly going to the gym but the cravings have come back and i think about food all the time, once i start eating i cannot stop. I am definitely over eating, i try to watch what i eat but the sugar cravings have been hard to control and i find myself eating chocolate and candy all the time. I am seriously considering going back on ozempic and willing to tolerate the nausea and epigastric pain as long as I don’t gain all the weight I lost 😓😓😓
I wish you the best!
Thank you for your updates. Does the nausea get better after you take your shot on the second day? Do you still get headaches? Do you feel like you have more energy? Is your hair thinner while being on this? Do you recommend taking this shot in the morning or in the evening? Does it help regulate your period? Thank you for sharing!
Hello Yes. The nausea does get much much better. At least it did for me. I have small bouts of it now. Mostly when I haven’t eaten honestly. It did regulate my period although I had a uterine ablation so I no longer bleed. I have found that I do the shot at lunchtime and that seems to work well for me. I feel less stressed and definitely less irritable now. My hair did not thin from it at all. I still get headaches but much less frequently now. I hope I helped!! Best wishes to you!
Thank you. Did it help with inflammation and did you feel like you have more energy?
@@freedomwithcryptos8900 yes. It helped reduce inflammation and I feel better all around.
I have PCOS, never had normal periods despite metformin, birth control, even while doing fertility treatments. The year I took ozempic I had 10 periods, that sure felt like what "normal women" complained about. Good flow, no starts and stops, cramping. I stopped ozempic about 2 because it was no longer covered and I haven't had a period since. I've only heard people talk about the weight loss, A1c control, and listed side effect. I haven't heard anyone talk about how it affects their periods, so when I saw your video about ozempic for PCOS, I was curious. Did you have period changes too?
Yes! I had a similar experience with starting regular cycles after never having them before. I know one of my videos I talk about the many different ways Ozempic helped me besides weight loss. It’s more than that for so many with PCOS. 🩵
Did you keep a diary to prove ur need to be on maintenance ozempic? Its soo hard getting my Doctor to listen to me in the uk and he wants me on metformin which makes me absolutely ill and unable to function 🥲
When you first started how long did it take to start Losing weight. I have alot of the same symptoms you have
I think it took my about 3 weeks to lose my first pound. It’s a bit blurry now. I started ozempic July 2020
This was extremely helpful! Thank you😊
I’m so glad that you found it helpful! Best wishes to you!
I'm proud of you for taking control of your health and trying to help others Sis !
Aww thank you 🥰
I have pcos since 2020. Lost 10 kilos with metphormine. But can’t support the side effectue anymore. My endo put me on 0.5 ozrmpic yesterday with stagid 700 and i was happy. But seeing ALL the side effects during and after, I’m not sure its worth it… what do u think?
It definitely has been worth it to me. Has improved the quality of my life and the side effects lessened with time for me. I’m still on it to manage the other symptoms of PCOS but after menopause will most likely be able to stop usage.
Hi, Are you still taking ozempic? Or stop taking it ? Have your PCOS reversed?
@@fatimarauf5465 hey Fatima, yep still on ozempic… lost 22 kilos now. (Lost my parents during the process and stopped the treatment for 3 month) Got my period back since september every month. Do not have acne anymore. My last echo in september showed less kyst. And Will do another echo in july. How about you ?
Im on Wegovy but have PCOS. I dont think i noticed any change in my symptoms. My period comes when it wants to. However i think i need to eat more and take vitamins. Honestly ive had such a journey with PCOS and weight loss drugs and surgery. Long story short my highest weight was 605 pounds. Today after everything im 280 pounds. Weightloss is possible if you believe in the possibility and heal your emotional response to food.
Thank you for sharing! Continued good health to you! Stay strong!
Protein . Protein . Protein. Without it with help PCOS girlies need to consume protein clean healthy protein and obviously give to equal it out
I’ve experienced carpal tunnel with PCOS. I’m experiencing inflammation on a scale I never before along with the Type 2 Diabetes so this video was helpful to my research in Ozempic. My quality of life has decreased from pain and inflammation. Chronic fatigue. I’m post menopausal and all of this has become worse since being post menopausal due to hysterectomy. I had a partial years ago but my one ovary gave out I guess. No hormones working per blood testing. I’m only 48. 😢
I’m so so sorry. I hope you find some relief. Best wishes 💓
thank you !!
Ozempic is really to treat type 2 Diabetes. Why hasnt your doc suggested the wegovy that is actually for weightloss and is given at higher doses?
It has been approved for off label use for PCOS. It helps manage metabolic syndrome and PCOS symptoms. Which is more than weight loss. Not sure about wegovy. This is working for my management of PCOS.
@Marlaena Potts Well, it's pretty much the same drug, so you should ask your doc.
You look terrific! So happy I got to watch your videos. God bless you!
Thank you ! Best wishes to you too!
I realize that this video is two years old, but I will keep you in prayer. It sounds like you have a really hectic, busy life. I know stressors can wreck things up in your body. God bless you!
I appreciate that! Yes! I am now really trying to walk to reduce my stress. So far it’s working!
Thanks for the update ! Cheers
What worries me...are the reports....that will be coming down the road..in a few years. One of the side effects is Pancreatic Cancer...and that is a death sentence. It also removes fat from the face...which results in sagging. Think I will wait this one out..till the real effects and stories come out.
I definitely understand that.
I have definitely noticed the things you were talking about (female problems).
*What happened to my Pcos after I stopped taking ozempic* is the correct way of spelling.
I have pcos I have struggled daily to eat proper to my bodies needs and I’m considering the shift to medicine for it just to help the beginning process I’m not able to have any more children at this time because of my pcos which hurts. But I appreciate your videos it helps me to know I’m not the only one who’s had trial and error with pcos
Ozempic definitely helped with appetite control. I wish you all the best. 💜🧡
I just subscribed to your channel. I live with PCOS and was just prescribed Ozempic to help with PCOS complications and weight loss. Glad to see your video because it lets me know I am not alone and trying out this medication to see if it will work for me. I started Apr. 18, and have lost 4lbs so far. My appetite is almost nonexistent. I would love to speak with you more about this. I also was thinking of doing a video diary on it as well.
That’s great! I felt the need to try to help other people because I was so scared to start this medication. It also became helpful to me in the process! Please share your story. So many will appreciate it! Best wishes and feel free to ask me anything! 💜
@@marlaenapotts5956 I plan on sharing it. Just don’t know where or how to start it. Also, in another video you mentioned carpal tunnel. Although, I don’t have it, I do sometimes have these weird aches in my left arm and left wrist. It doesn’t happen often at all. You definitely got me to thinking about that awkward feeling/pain.
@@marlaenapotts5956 Also, I don’t recall having any anger issues with PCOS. Just weight gain, uncontrollable hunger, pre-diabetic, high BP, and a few little hairs under my chin. My cycles have been normal.
@@Thatwater123 interesting. My endo ascribed it to the high testosterone level. I thought everyone with PCOS had that symptom! My cycle has never been normal since I got my period at 12. I was so very fortunate to have two kids even with my infrequent periods.
@@marlaenapotts5956 hmmm… maybe I need to get my testosterone levels checked. I never knew anger was apart of PCOS. You’re the 1st person I saw say this. Currently, my sleeping is off. Up all night. Sleep periodically during the day.
Hi Laena that was a great video, and congrats on you losing so much weight...you look great!!
Thank you ! Best part is reduction in my crabbiness! 😉
Totally have both carpal tunnel and PCOS (US Army 17 years), but the symptoms are a lot less pronounced when I am able to manage my inflammation. Not always easy to do, though lol
You’re so right!!
This is why I looked this up because I was worried that it would cause withdrawal symptoms. I’m glad you made this video.
I definitely feel better all around on the ozempic. My endocrinologist and I decided it is ok for me to stay on it until menopause. I just had my FSH checked. Still peri menopausal so it may be for a while.
Do you follow a low carb diet along with Ozempic?
No. I follow a vegetarian diet with very little dairy and high fiber Lots of veggies and fruits!
Thank you so much for your honest infos and great observations on your body changes and how it feels! They are very helpful! Wish you all the best ❤
Thank you ! 💓
What dosage were you on ? I started on December 18 and I'm on 1mg from this month but I haven't lost more than 5 pounds and that too it fluctuates and that makes me sad
I am on 1 mg. You may want to check and see if your insurance covers any appointments with a nutritionist. They may be able to go over what would help with weight loss for you. I found for me that even on ozempic I have to stay 95% on my eating plan or I start to regain weight. I hope you find a plan that helps you. Ozempic is definitely just a tool to help us. Best wishes! Keep trying to find something to help!
I have pcos..and diabetic. And carpel tunel.. i am a sahm and i go to doc im 3 weeks to see if i can get the shot!
I find the carpal tunnel issue with PCOS so fascinating. I hope you find relief for it and I wish you the best at your dr! 💕
I have pcos and carpal tunnel!! I used to have it as a child, then it went away and eventually came back a couple years ago. I immediately got surgery because it was so bad the second time.
Have you noticed that it’s creeping back? I am so happy I did the surgery but I am noticing a little tiny bit of pain again. It’s been two years since my right hand and elbow were done. Of course I still work so maybe that it.
I wish all your videos were longer 🥺 you’re so well spoken and just comforting and feel familiar I really appreciate the fact you took the time to makes these, I have PCOS an insulin resistance and see my doc tuesday to hopefully start Semaglutide so this helps me learn a lot! ❤️
You’re so sweet 💜 I am so happy to hear that I helped a little bit for you. I was so nervous to start ozempic and I wanted to let others know my experience so they could feel they were not alone in all of this! Good for you for taking charge of your health and trying to make a change. Best wishes. Please come back and let me know how you’re doing. 🧡
Been diagnosed PCOS for a few years! Metformin did not work the best. Just waiting for my blood work to come back but they said they will start me on Wegovy or ozempic when they get results!
Hope it works out for you! Good health to you!
There is a connection between overweight/obesity & carpal tunnel. Also a connection btwn overweight/obesity & pro inflammatory states. I have had PCOS for almost 30 years; at higher weights (as high as 270) I had carpal tunnel. Other wrist issues as well- I am a surgeon- and quitting sugar, flour & dairy (and eventually going mostly keto) got those in check. Ozempic has been great for finally getting me from overweight to a normal BMI, although I had already gotten my PCOS symptoms under control & lost 100 lbs with the above dietary changes. Now I’m adding weight lifting to rebuild lean body mass- critical for maintaining weight loss- and adding protein & more fiber to basically perfect my diet health-wise. At our age muscle and bones are key!
That’s wonderful! My hand surgeon did tell me obesity can play a role in carpal tunnel. I wish you continued success and good health!
My daughter is 15 has pcos and was just put on metformin I rather have her on a once a week shot she also needs to loose weight
Metformin was a commonly used prescription for Controlling PCOS symptoms. It does help some. It never helped me. I tried to use it several different times in hopes it would help. I wish your daughter the best and please if she doesn’t see any relief, push for a different medication. 💓
I was diagnosed with PCOS at 24 yrs old and have been taking Metformin 21 years. 👎🏼 My advice to you is help your daughter learn about and accept that she has PCOS. Never stop talking about it and researching it. It can be incredibly difficult to deal with and very frustrating. But her PCOS is her own. Not everyone experiences PCOS symptoms the same.
Just diagnosed and starting Ozempic. Found this! Interesting. I have carpal tunnel in both arms. I was a cashier and tech support but neither were longer than 5 years combined. My carpal tunnel is not work related and I find it odd I have it!
Super interesting 🤔 and I wish you all the best with ozempic! Best of health to you!!
I have PCOS and carpel tunnel. I have an appt tomorrow to ask for Ozempic. Thanks for sharing! I’m and project manager and always on my keyboard.
It’s so interesting though how many with PCOS have carpal tunnel and with all different types of jobs. I am still happy I did the surgeries on my hands and elbow. My work is so much more pleasant now. Best wishes to you!!

Are you on metformin?
Not now. I have in the past taken Metformin but it did not help me.
I have PCOS and my Dr said she’s never heard of this drug or seen a rep. How can I convince her that I need it. She said it’s only for type 2 diabetes.
Maybe you can find some research and show it to her? I don’t know what your relationship with your doctor is if she’d be receptive to that and perhaps if she is not a specialist maybe seeing a specialist would help the situation because they are more aware of specific types of new medication‘s on the market and what they do for people with PCOS I see an endocrinologist and he was the one who suggested it. Let me know how it goes 🤞🏻
I have PCOS and carpal tunnel. I have had surgery I both hands 15 years ago. Last September I started on Saxenda (Victoza) I have lost 65lb, and I have experienced a lot of the same approvements in health and life quality as you describe. I hope to change over to Ozempic or WeGoWy (to be released soon in Denmark were I live) to shred the last pounds. When the weightloss is done, I hope to stay on Ozempic to tackle my PCOS. Which dosis Ozempic are you prescribed?
That’s so awesome! I am on 1 mg dosage So interesting about the carpal tunnel. 🤔 Continued best wishes to you! 💜
How did you get it ? I am in the U.K. and they mentioned using it.
My endocrinologist prescribed it. And my insurance does cover it with a small copay
@@marlaenapotts5956 ok it’s different here in the U.K. if you have pcos your get sent to a gynaecologist

Have you stopped cold turkey? My doctor prescribed me Ozempic today for PCOS but I am unsure if I want to start using it. I am scared of collateral effects and on how my body will react when I stop taking it. Heard some people saying it might cause increase in blood sugar after you stop taking this medicine.
Yes I did stop taking it cold turkey so to speak I was off of it for four weeks and then I went back on because I started experiencing some side effects with overall health issues not my weight though it was all about things that affect me with my PCOS So I am currently still taking it and it is help controlling my way and other issues that I have with PCOS
I was just prescribed Wegovy for weight loss and it’s out stock until November 😔 I’ve tried everything to lose 30 lbs and nothing has worker much. As I hear the RUclips reviews I keep hearing symptoms I’ve had for years specially what your saying about your period.
I am shocked you have to wait that long for medicine!! Have you been tested for PCOS?
@@marlaenapotts5956 I’ve been telling doctors about my period for a long time and they’re like well that’s normal 🤦🏽♀️.
