I love this! I shared on your IG post about how writing isn't whimsical that I had a story I thought of and wanted to write, but felt insecure about my lack of writing experience, however your video was relieving and perhaps I could give a shot. Cut to 13 weeks later and I have 20,000+ words in an outline document that outlines the book and almost 7,000 words written of the prologue and first two chapters(need to add to those but it's started and we can expand later when my brain isn't mush worrying to just get words on a page). Your energy and advice is encouraging, approachable and honest. I appreciate you showing how erasing what you had can still be progress. You really motivate me to keep trying. I hope that one day I can send you my smutty romantasy vampire book :) and I look forward to reading everything you write.

Excited for more vlogs! And as you talked about writing daily I realized that it's the same with me! Like, I was writing consistently all summer and enjoying it, then I stopped for awhile. And literally just yesterday and the day before I tried writing again and it was really hard and not enjoyable, but then right before watching this video I was writing and actually enjoying it and wondering hmmm why am I good at this again all of a sudden? So thanks because now I am going to try to start a consistent writing habit too!

I am so excited for these vlogs, you have no idea. As a fellow autistic, I also find that writing everyday, even if us just a little, necessary for my brain to remember how to write (if this make any sense hahaha), but at the same time I have a very monotropic brain, so I struggle a lot to sit down and start, (shift my attention from one thing to another is really hard for me), is hard to remember that a love writing. And when I start, I have to force me to stop after 2500 words max, or I will burn myself out in only one day because I can stop thinking. So, for me, it is very fun to watch another neurodivergent in this process ❤

Congratulations Lucy! It is totally normal to feel conflicted about your birthing experience. I felt totally robbed of mine. 36 hours of induced labor, a misplaced epidural, emergency c-section, feeling returning to my left side in the middle of surgery, then when I regained consciousness (because they had to knock me out as soon as they had my baby) I found out my baby couldn’t breathe and they were taking her to a different hospital. Four and a half years later and that baby has grown into a wonderful healthy girl, but I still grieve what I couldn’t have in birthing her. I still feel that loss too.

Hi. I'm new here but I'd like to say this. I'm also a writer and I have ADD, which is kind of similar to ADHD. Your advice about having the disorder as a writing partner was very different. I always thought it was challenging since it's hard to stay focused, my main problem is the constant distractions. I love writing since I've written thirty-nine FanFictions and many books growing up. (No book has been published) I might try some of your advice like writing routines I've tried but I cannot time myself since it gives me some anxiety. I do agree that it's great to listen to music while you write and with the ambient sounds as well. Those are relaxing to listen to. Thanks for the video!
