Apple cider vinager with a little sugar and a drop or two of Dawn dish soap in a shallow dish or 8oz glass (ie. stemless wine glass) works great for catching gnats. Works best with no dirty dishes in the sink. I've been using it for years. It always works. Mason jars are too big to use. Gnats love sweet & sour but they don't like the smell of dishsoap so only use a small amout of Dawn just to break the surface tension. Your video was very helpful. I recently bought the mosquito bits to try on house plant soil and will try your water solution recipe. I recently bought a small mosquito zapper that I can use in the house. It works well on the gnats.

Best way is don't get them to begin with. 1. Never bring untreated soil or plants indoors 2. Always water from below.

Of course organic material can be harmful. Fungus, mold, poison ivy, and etc.

To avoid having to weed a ton, use mulch! I rarely have to weed my garden. Check out the no-till garden method too, it reduces weeds by a lot.

I wish it were this easy for me… It’s shown up in my back yard, but it’s not coming up in an area that’s at all easy to get to. Pretty sure it’s originating from behind a shed, which neighbors have put up fences thisclose to on two sides, and then there are at least two other vines (Grape and English Ivy) blanketing the area as well, so can’t dig up just one thing… it’s basically a vine thicket back there :/

It will come back NEXT YEAR. You can only kill poison ivy by pulling out the roots.

Wanted to get rid of it, without using toxic chemicals. Then third degree burns herself with throwing boiling water.

Even organic things can be toxic!

I've used sprectracide weed killer to wipe out poison oak closest to my house (front porch and back patio) plus part of our tree line. It hasn't returned by my house at all but it can take multiple applications to kill it in place. Digging it up in my tree line isn't an option. Too many tree roots to go through. I have found that using a clear chair floor mat over top under full sun also kills everything under it.
